Chapter Twenty-Two: Don't Hold a Grudge

Chisui had no recollection of the person who pulled her back being the same person who had bumped into her in the teacher's office earlier that day.

Firstly, since Qian Sui grew up in the mountains, she doesn't know many people, so she's somewhat lacking in the ability to recognize people.

Secondly, Chisui felt that it was enough to use her brain to remember delicious food and fun things, so why bother to spare a portion to remember people?

So when Zhang Shaochuan pulled Qian Sui to the cafeteria on the second floor, took the plate from her hand and put it down, and then pushed her to the food window, Qian Sui still resisted.

Why should I invite you to dinner?!

Although her brother had put a lot of money on her meal card, her mentor had said that she should be thrifty and frugal, and that there were many scammers in the world, so she shouldn't spend money on them.

When Qian Sui shouted, everyone around looked over, though they dared not say anything out of fear of Zhang Shaochuan's reputation as a school bully.

However, for Zhang Shaochuan, a boy, to force a girl to buy him food in front of everyone is somewhat unfair.

Zhang Shaochuan tried to cover Qian Sui's mouth with his hand, but as soon as he reached out, Qian Sui grabbed his wrist with lightning speed. Qian Sui lowered his body, twisted his wrist, and restrained him.

Zhang Shaochuan was initially shocked. He hadn't expected that this seemingly weak girl would know this move. But he was a trained fighter after all, and he quickly reacted. He grabbed Qian Sui's wrist with his other hand, and with a twist, broke free from her restraints.

After Zhang Shaochuan escaped, Qian Sui didn't pursue the matter any further. After all, it was her first day of school, and Qian Sui didn't want to cause trouble.

Once she was sure she wouldn't be bothered by Zhang Shaochuan, she stopped and took a step back.

"I don't know you, and the person who hit you just now was someone else, not me."

The implication of Qian Sui Dao's words is: I don't know you, I won't invite you to dinner, stay away from me, and get as far away as possible.

Zhang Shaochuan also noticed Qian Sui's impatience, but he didn't find the girl's anger at all intimidating.

Despite his not-so-good reputation, he was considered a heartthrob by most of the girls in the school, who secretly and openly flirted with him.

Now that Qian Sui was unwilling to talk to him, Zhang Shaochuan couldn't figure out why even after thinking for a long time.

When he finally recalled their first meeting, he bumped into Chitose.

Zhang Shaochuan then suddenly realized what was going on.

It turns out that this girl was really angry with him because of this.

Zhang Shaochuan breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing this; he knew no one could resist his charm.

It was just a minor disagreement at the beginning, but it was easily resolved.

This time, Zhang Shaochuan didn't ask Qian Sui to treat him to a meal. Instead, he raised an eyebrow, took out his campus card, and said, "I'll treat you to a meal."

"Um?"

This sudden change caught Chisui somewhat off guard.

Is this a new scam by fraudsters?

Before Qian Sui could even process what was happening, Zhang Shaochuan pushed her to the window, placed his own campus card on the card reader, and said, "Eat whatever you want."

Qian Sui was pressed against the window by Zhang Shaochuan, who was a head taller than her.

She had seen this kind of scene in some idol dramas before, where the handsome and rich male lead would always throw out his credit card and tell the female lead: "Swipe as much as you want."

But if the scene is changed to a cafeteria, and people are swiping their meal cards, it becomes less romantic.

But Chisui didn't have time to think about it. The food in the cafeteria on the second floor was even more plentiful. Chisui was already hungry. She exclaimed "Wow!" and then forgot about whether it was a scam or not. She was only focused on ordering food.

After Qian Sui finished ordering, Zhang Shaochuan also ordered his own. Then, holding a plate in one hand and grabbing Qian Sui's collar with the other, he pulled her to the table where he had placed the plate with the chewing gum.

In Qian Sui's subconscious, the person who gives her food is not necessarily a bad person, but the person who doesn't give her food is definitely not a good person.

After Zhang Shaochuan bought her some food, Qian Sui's attitude towards Zhang Shaochuan changed somewhat.

Qian Sui, holding a spoon and chopsticks, clasped her hands together as if eating in a temple, and nodded slightly to Zhang Shaochuan to express her gratitude: "Thank you very much for your hospitality."

Qian Sui's appearance just now could only be described as aggressive and menacing, but look at her now, her eyes are curved into crescent moons as she smiles, as if she wasn't the one who tried to restrain Zhang Shaochuan just now.

Zhang Shaochuan really liked this "whoever feeds me is my mother" attitude.

Zhang Shaochuan leaned back in his seat with a cocky air, glancing at Qian Sui with his eyes. Qian Sui's outfit wasn't strange; traditional Chinese style was popular now, and there was even a Hanfu club at school where people wore this type of clothing.

However, some of those people deliberately tried to show off their clothes, using the banner of retro Hanfu to wear some flashy but impractical clothes.

But Qian Sui is different. Her clothes are simply cut, and the embroidery is very understated, but you can tell that the workmanship is exquisite. They are not the kind of clothes that merchants make on a production line to make money.

It was made by a true embroiderer, stitch by stitch, with great care.

She wasn't wearing makeup, but her skin was flawless, and her small lips were like cherries.

Although her words were somewhat childish, her every move was very well-mannered, including the way she used chopsticks and the way she ate. She really looked like a lady from a noble family in ancient times.

As Zhang Shaochuan looked at the photos, he suddenly remembered the pictures he had seen on Weibo that day. Those photos didn't even capture half of Qian Sui's beauty. People were hailing Qian Sui as the new school beauty.
