Lu Jiayan breathed a sigh of relief after Qianhao and Qiansui left.
Ling Shen didn't say anything and told the driver to drive away.
Ling Shen also needed to leave the school. It was the time when classes ended, and many students had already finished their classes, so the driver chose a slightly off-center school gate, thinking there would be fewer people.
But when the car turned onto the road leading out of the school gate, Lu Jiayan saw a girl on the side of the road.
She also walked towards the school gate, with her back to the car, so her face couldn't be seen.
The girl's steps were weak. After taking only a few steps, she swayed and then fell forward to the ground.
Ling Shen saw it too, and his brows furrowed.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Lu Jiayan saw Ling Shen's expression through the rearview mirror and understood what Ling Shen meant.
Lu Jiayan said, "Stop the car!"
The driver stopped the car, and Lu Jiayan opened the car door, got out, ran to the girl, and helped her up.
The girl was originally lying on the ground, but after she fell down, her long hair fell over her face, making it even harder to see her face clearly.
Lu Jiayan went forward and helped her up, only then could he see her face clearly.
After seeing her face clearly, Lu Jiayan was stunned for a moment; she looked somewhat familiar.

Ling Shen sat on the other side, and Lu Jiayan helped Shang Ziyan to the other side.
After Shang Ziyan went upstairs, she turned to look at Ling Shen.
Ling Shen was dressed in all black. The car windows had been specially treated so that the inside could not be seen from the outside, which also made the light much dimmer.
Ling Shen turned his head to face Shang Ziyan, his demeanor cold and his expression indifferent, as if he had not even noticed Shang Ziyan's presence.
He stared straight ahead, seemingly lost in his own world.
Shang Ziyan braced her hands on the seat, feeling involuntarily tense.
If Shang Ziyan hadn't seen Ling Shen nod to Lu Jiayan, agreeing to let her come up, she would have thought that Ling Shen hadn't even noticed her presence.
Shang Ziyan tried to calm herself down, and then said to Ling Shen, "Thank you, Senior Ling Shen."
Ling Shen did not answer immediately.
He seemed uncomfortable sitting there; he shifted slightly, adjusted his posture, and then leaned back more lazily against the chair back.
It was just a very subtle movement, but Shang Ziyan couldn't help but tense up. Her breath hitched as she thought about her actions, hoping she hadn't given anything away.
Shang Ziyan's heart was in her throat.
Ling Shencai softly replied, "Mm."
Shang Ziyan was taken aback, only then realizing that Ling Shen's "hmm" was in response to her question earlier.
Lu Jiayan also sat in the passenger seat and turned to Shang Ziyan, asking, "Classmate, which hospital are you going to?"
Shang Ziyan named a nearby hospital and said, "Thank you so much for your help."
The driver started the car, and Lu Jiayan replied with a smile, "No trouble at all. We wouldn't feel comfortable letting such a pretty junior go to the hospital by herself."
