Chapter Seventy-Eight: Extortion

Faced with Qian Sui's question, the boys smiled, and then the one in the lead took a puff of his cigarette, exhaled a cloud of smoke, and laughed.

"What are we going to do? Guess what we're going to do?"

Qian Sui looked at them without the slightest fear: "I don't want to guess."

As Qian Sui spoke, he tried to walk past those people and move forward.

But as I passed by that person, he pushed my shoulder and pulled me back.

The man shoved Qian Sui's shoulder, causing her to stumble a few steps. Once she regained her balance, the group pressed closer together. The alley was already narrow, and now that they were standing together, they completely blocked the way.

Chitose doesn't like being touched by strangers, and she frowned slightly after being pushed.

Seeing the displeasure on Qian Sui's face, those people were satisfied with their perverse pleasure, and thus they became even more outrageous.

One of the boys looked at Qian Sui and said, "Little sister, do you know that this is our territory? If you want to get through, you have to pay a toll."

That's a joke. I've only ever seen people robbing people on the road in the book "Water Margin".

What era are we living in? Why are people still using these highway robbery tricks?

Qian Sui rolled her eyes inwardly and said, "I didn't come to your territory on purpose. I just came to find a little dog."

"puppy?"

Chisui nodded: "Yes, the white puppy is injured. Did you see it?"

One of the boys thought for a moment and said, "I really have seen it before."

He was squatting here smoking when he saw a small dog run by, limping and looking quite pathetic.

Hearing the boy say that, Chisui's eyes lit up, and she placed her hopes on him: "Really? Do you know where the puppy is now?"

To everyone's surprise, the boy grinned mischievously and said, "This is our territory. If you're looking for pets on our turf, shouldn't you give us some compensation?"

If it were a robbery, Chitose wouldn't give it to anyone, but now that Chitose wants to find the puppy, it's normal for her to give him some reward if the clues he provides lead to the puppy.

This time, Chisui was very perceptive. She immediately took out her wallet, opened it, and tried to take out a few hundred-yuan bills to give to the boys.

Qian Sui's wallet was bulging, and Qian Ci, fearing she wouldn't have enough to spend, stuffed several thousand yuan in cash into her small wallet.

The boys originally intended to extort some money, but they didn't expect Chitose to be a rich person. When she opened her wallet, their eyes lit up.

They originally only wanted to extort some money, but now they've become even more greedy.

With so much money, you can stay online for a long time and buy a lot of things.

Chisui didn't notice the way people were looking at her. She looked down and casually took out five or six hundred yuan from her wallet. She handed the money to the boy and said, "Can you tell me where that puppy is now?"

The boy took the money from Qiansui, counted it, and said, "This isn't enough."

The thousand-year-old frowned.

The boy said again, "Little sister, that's a life! That little dog is so badly injured. If you don't find it soon, it will die."

Chitose also thought of this problem, and she was worried that the little puppy wouldn't be able to hold on.

Without much thought, Qian Sui took out another three or four hundred yuan, but before she could hand over the money, the boys surrounded her and snatched her wallet.

Chisui was stunned as she watched the person snatch her wallet.

The boy took out all the money from the wallet and then casually tossed it to Chitose.

Chitose took the wallet and watched as the boys greedily watched one of them count the money.

She had no concept of money. If these people took all the money, and it helped her find the puppy, Chitose thought it was a worthwhile deal.

Qian Sui looked at these people and said, "Can you tell me where that little dog is?"

Everyone was busy counting and dividing their money and didn't want to pay any attention to Qian Sui. The boy impatiently pointed and said, "It went that way."

Chitose glanced in that direction and then said, "Thank you."

After saying that, Qian Sui ran off in that direction.

The boy was so busy counting the money that he didn't give any directions. Chitose followed the darker path and walked for five or six minutes, but she didn't see the puppy or even any bloodstains along the way.

If you keep going forward, you'll reach the end; there's no more path to take.

Qian Sui then realized that something was wrong.

There's no road left to walk on, so how could the puppy possibly go this way?

Chitose realized she had been tricked, and she was furious!

She wasn't angry about being scammed out of money, but rather about being tricked into revealing the direction the puppy had gone. Given the puppy's condition, she didn't know how much longer it could hold on. If Chitose didn't find it soon, it probably wouldn't make it.

The emperor is very angry, and the consequences will be severe.

Chisui returned the way she came and arrived at the place where the boys had been. Coincidentally, they were still there. They had happily divided the several thousand dollars they had stolen from Chisui and were discussing where to go for a meal.

Qian Sui walked out from the side path, looking at those people with a cold expression.

You lied to me!

When Chitose reappeared, the boys were not surprised, and were not even afraid.

There were seven or eight of them, and Qian Sui was the only girl. Even if she was angry, what could she do?

The boy chuckled flippantly, "I'm not lying to you, I really saw it run that way. You can't find it because it probably ran off again."
