Chapter 358 Villa

Most of the villas in Bishui Garden have been renovated, and several have even moved in earlier than Wei Mian.

She lives in Villa No. 30, which is the closest to the mountain among all the villas. The two villas closest to No. 30 are No. 28 and No. 29. These two villas are much smaller in comparison, but they are enough for a family to live in.

Every time Wei Mian went out of the gate, he would drive past one of the buildings, Villa No. 29.

There is a family of three living here. Occasionally, part-time workers and interest teachers come here, but they leave after a short stay.

Usually, the people at home are the hostess and her five-year-old daughter. The hostess is named Jiang Yao. She is a little plump, loves to laugh, and is very warm to others. She will take the initiative to say hello every time she sees Wei Mian.

She also likes baking and often sends the baked goods to her neighbors and chats with them.

Jiang Yao and her husband are both in their thirties. Her husband spends at least half of the year flying around, so there are only Jiang Yao and their daughter at home, but she is not a full-time housewife.

Jiang Yao runs a chain of bakery shops. Now that several of the stores are running smoothly, she doesn't have to go there every day. Her greatest pleasure is to research new products at home.

Jiang Yao's daughter is called Yuanyuan. As her name suggests, she has a round and fair face.

Jiang Yao's grandmother is one-quarter Russian, so Yuanyuan also has mixed-race genes. She has big eyes, long eyelashes, and a turned-up nose, like a doll. Everyone who sees her wants to rub her.

However, Wei Mian had not seen the doll very often. Although the child was only five years old, he received an elite education and had to attend several interest classes, and his schedule was full every day.

Jiang Yao said that these were all requested by Yuanyuan's father, but Yuanyuan's mother felt too tired and sometimes found excuses to let her daughter rest so that the child could go out and relax for a while.

When Jiang Yao brought the cookies today, she also brought the doll over, which was a rare achievement. However, the little guy pouted and looked unhappy.

When she heard that they were going to Villa No. 30, Yuanyuan's mood immediately improved a lot. She liked Wei Mian very much. She used to run to the fence of Wei Mian's house and stand outside looking inside, and only ran away in panic after Niu Jingyi found her.

At this moment, she was standing behind Jiang Yao, quietly sticking her head out, blinking her big eyes, secretly looking at Wei Mian, but when Wei Mian looked over, she would shyly hide again.

Wei Mian liked to tease her, but the little girl never got angry. She always looked at her tenderly and would take the initiative to share the snacks in her hand with Wei Mian.

The little girl was unhappy today and didn’t bring her good friend the plush bear out. She was still wearing a pink dress and the fat boy only had a biscuit in his hand.

"What's wrong with Yuanyuan? She seems unhappy. Is it because she doesn't want to give her sister the cookies?"

Wei Mian half squatted down, pointed at the biscuits in her hand, and teased her on purpose.

"no."

Yuanyuan tilted her head back, blinking her big eyes in a way that made people's hearts melt. She handed the biscuit in Xiaopang's hand to Wei Mian's mouth.

"Sister, you can take a bite, just a small bite!"

"Oh, just give me a small bite, but my mouth is really big, it's this big!"

After Wei Mian finished speaking, he deliberately opened his mouth wide, then took a big bite and bit all the biscuits into his mouth, chewing them in an exaggerated manner.

Yuanyuan looked at the biscuit that was bitten to the point of only a tiny bit left, then looked at Wei Mian's bulging cheeks. Instead of crying, she was filled with curiosity. "Is my sister's mouth really that big?"

Wei Mian deliberately imitated her lisp, "Yeah, it's just that big! Your cookies are not enough to fill the gaps between my teeth, which are really big!"

After that, Yuanyuan kept staring at Wei Mian's mouth, as if wanting to see what the gap between teeth that could fit a biscuit looked like, and whether it was like the hippopotamus it had seen.

The little guy's attention was successfully diverted. He was no longer thinking about the painting class he would have soon, and his mood was obviously much better.

Jiang Yao was relieved when she saw this. Such a young child had to attend so many tutoring classes every day. If it were an ordinary child, he would have cried and refused to go.

Yuanyuan is already sensible enough, but her father is still not satisfied. He insists that his child should win at the starting line and learn more, otherwise she will not be able to learn even if she wants to because she is too busy with schoolwork in the future.

The little guy was in a bad mood today. He was unhappy when he heard that he would have a painting class soon.

The painting teacher had returned from abroad and had won many international awards. Many domestic institutions, even universities such as the Central Academy of Fine Arts, had extended olive branches to him, but Teacher Huang had not yet decided where to go.

He said he loves children very much and wants to work in education.

Taking advantage of his free time, Yuanyuan's father took great pains to invite someone to teach Yuanyuan how to paint. However, Teacher Huang had never taught such a young child before, and his lectures were more professional. Yuanyuan didn't have a wide vocabulary, so he only had a vague understanding of the subject.

Jiang Yao came to this conclusion after attending two classes, but she felt that this was not a problem. She specifically reminded Yuanyuan that if she didn't understand something, she should ask immediately.

Jiang Yao had secretly observed that whenever Yuanyuan went to ask questions, Teacher Huang would patiently explain the parts she didn't understand, and would even demonstrate them himself. Jiang Yao personally felt that there was no problem.

And she and Yuanyuan's father had the same idea on one point. They both felt that learning painting was a very useful thing, and she would definitely go even if she didn't like it.

After two months of study, she could clearly feel that Yuanyuan was making rapid progress, but the child still didn't like painting class.

No matter what you ask her, she will just look at you with her big eyes pleadingly.

But even though I'm looking at you, your mouth is still as closed as a clam, and you don't have to think about prying it open.

Jiang Yao even tried to play the secret-exchange game with the child, but couldn't get anything out of him.

This child has been like this since she was young. If she doesn't want to say something, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to hear a single word from her.

She has a painting class in an hour, and she is afraid that Yuanyuan will throw a tantrum and offend Teacher Huang again. If he doesn't teach the child well, won't she be the one who suffers?

So Jiang Yao brought Yuanyuan out. Knowing that she liked Wei Mian, she simply brought her over and took the opportunity to ask Wei Mian to taste the durian mille-feuille she had just made.

"Xiaomi, come and try it for Sister Jiang. How does my durian mille-feuille taste this time? I changed the recipe a little bit. How does it taste this time?"

The box Jiang Yao brought contained three pieces of durian mille-feuille, made according to three recipes, and the taste difference was very subtle.

Some people with poor taste buds feel that everything tastes the same, but some people with very sensitive tongues can taste the difference right away.

"I think the third one is the best! It's light and sweet without being greasy, and the sweetness of the cream doesn't mask the durian flavor at all. Sister Jiang, I've tried durian mille-feuille at many places, but yours is the best and most authentic. I never get tired of it!"

Jiang Yao was so flattered by her that she almost forgot who she was. Either her daughter liked Wei Mian, or she herself liked her very much. This girl was pretty, spoke well, and most importantly, had a good appetite.

Everyone who cooks should like to see others finish their plates, especially when the food is cooked by themselves.
