Chapter 1

When Fu Qin woke up, he found himself lying in the treatment cabin.

Fu Qin hated this feeling. Almost the moment he woke up, his body subconsciously pushed open the door of the treatment cabin and jumped out.

In front of me is a laboratory with operating tables on three sides. Various instruments are operating in an orderly manner, and the treatment cabin is placed in the middle.

Fu Qin looked around and had no impression of this laboratory.

While I was wondering, there was a sound outside the door and the silver-white automatic door slowly opened.

A man appeared behind the door. His black hair was a little long, and his dark green pupils were hidden behind gold-rimmed glasses, so it was impossible to tell the emotion in his eyes.

I saw the corners of his mouth curled up, as if smiling: "You are finally awake, really——"

Can sleep.

Before he could finish his words, the quilt moved.

The next second, the man was hit hard in the abdomen and was slammed hard against the wall of the aisle under the force, and a shallow pit was directly smashed into the special metal wall.

Before he could fall, Fu Qin grabbed his collar and held him in front of her, expressionless, "I remember I was already dead."

The man spat out a mouthful of blood. Although he was in a very passive position, his expression was somewhat smug. "As you can see, I brought you back to life."

"Why?" Fu Qin asked, his hand tightening unconsciously around the man's collar. "Since I'm already dead, why do you want me to come back to life?"

Hearing this, the man's expression turned from sunny to gloomy. "Yeah, why? You've been dead for so many days, but your spiritual power hasn't dissipated. It's been circling around me since I came over. Admit it, I didn't want to save you, it was your spiritual power that was begging me to save you!"

"Bang!"

Fu Qin punched the man on the right side of his face, knocking him sideways. His glasses also flew out and fell to the ground, breaking into several pieces.

The man turned his head and saw that the right half of his face was visibly swollen.

There was no fear in his eyes. His dark green pupils stared intently at Fu Qin's face. "I advise you to be careful. Although your current body is made of my latest bionic material, it is not as strong as your flesh. If it is damaged, I will have to repair it."

"Bang!"

Another punch.

This time it hit the man's left cheek, making him symmetrical.

Fu Qin: "Shut up."

The man's cheeks were swollen, and his once handsome face turned into a pig's head, but he laughed instead: "Hahaha - General Fu, whether you want it or not, you're back."

If you ask who Fu Qin is, every federal citizen will give the same answer.

She is the hero of the Federation and the guiding star of the Federation.

Every battle that Fu Qin participated in was the focus of research and analysis at the military academy and was repeatedly mentioned as a classic textbook.

It is the heartfelt aspiration of every military academy student.

The federal history books alone devote ten pages to Fu Qin's life.

But among these experiences, there are two that are the most earth-shattering.

One is that when the Interstellar Empire was still at its peak, Fu Qin broke into the heavily guarded celebration live broadcast site alone, chopped off the head of the emperor of the empire, and exposed in front of everyone in the galaxy the fact that the imperial family had been corrupted and mutated by the Zerg, raising the first banner of resistance against the imperial family.

Second, when the interstellar empire was declining, Fu Qin, with only one mecha, stopped the 300,000 controlled imperial troops, buying enough time for the federal army to encircle and suppress the remnants of the imperial royal family.

There are very few images left of this war, because no one walked out of the battlefield alive. Everything was bombed to ashes, including Fu Qin himself.

But Fu Qin didn't expect that he would be dragged back even though he was dead.

The person who instigated the creation of Fu Qin into an artificial human and forcibly resurrected him was named Zhou Xu.

Fu Qin and Zhou Xu met in the slums when they were young. They were both enemies and friends, and they still disliked each other after working together for many years.

Unlike Fu Qin, Zhou Xu is a complete scientific research madman. He once tested drugs on himself for research purposes, which resulted in his physique being different from that of ordinary people. Now he can no longer be considered a complete human being.

Throwing two punches was nothing to him.

So his mouth is particularly poisonous.

In Fu Qin's words, this guy deserves a beating.

Just as the two were facing each other with swords drawn, a message came from Zhou Xu's light brain.

Fu Qin loosened his hand and took a step back.

Zhou Xu straightened his collar which was torn askew before checking the information on the computer.

But after reading it, he frowned.

"What's wrong?" Fu Qin asked.

Zhou Xu's face looked very bad. He could still smile when he was beaten just now, but now he had a sour face, as if he was owed eight million.

"Song Tingyun is here," he said, "and he wants to see you specifically."

"Me?" Fu Qin pointed at himself. "How did he know I was alive? Did you tell him?"

"Bullshit!" Zhou Xu cursed, a rare omission. "This guy is so powerful now that he dared to plant spies in my research institute."

Seeing Fu Qin's confusion, Zhou Xu explained sarcastically, "Oh, right? You didn't know this yet, did you? Not long after your death, the empire collapsed, and our federal army won the final victory. Song Tingyun is now the marshal."

After explaining, Zhou Xu continued to speak ill of Song Tingyun as usual: "It's okay to beat me up, I'm a magnanimous person and won't bother with you, but Song Tingyun has such a petty temper, you can't beat him up now. Be careful not to be accused of killing the marshal and then send you to death."

Fu Qin knew Song Tingyun's character, so he thought Zhou Xu was just talking nonsense and didn't hear a word of the second half.

Seeing that Fu Qin was unmoved, Zhou Xu's expression turned even more grim. "Come on, I'll take you to your room. You can change your clothes first. Let Song Tingyun wait."

Fu Qin was already fed up with the stickiness and nodded to follow.

On the way to the room, Zhou Xu briefly explained the current situation to Fu Qin.

Over twenty years had passed since Fu Qin's death, and the remnants of the Imperial family had been annihilated. Following the establishment of the Federation, several large-scale screenings of the interstellar population were conducted, confirming that there were no Zerg mutants invading the Federation before the post-war reconstruction efforts began.

Up to now, the federation has been completely back on track and the people are living and working in peace and contentment.

Just as they longed for back then.

In response, Fu Qin just said "Oh" and did not express any opinion.

Apart from the initial rage when she learned that Zhou Xu had resurrected her against her will, she calmly accepted everything else.

When they reached the door of the room, Zhou Xu leaned against the door frame with his arms folded. "The layout inside is similar to your previous room. You should be able to find everything you need. I'll wait for you outside. I don't mind if you want to take a shower and change clothes."

Fu Qin glanced at him and said, "You don't have to wait for me."

As he spoke, Fu Qin walked into the room and prepared to close the door.

"Wait a minute," Zhou Xu quickly approached the door and pulled out a black bracelet from his pocket before Fu Qin could react. He threw it over. "Here, your optical computer was blown to ash just like you. Luckily, the data is still there. I've imported it into the new optical computer for you. You're welcome."

Fu Qin took the laptop and slammed the door shut, leaving Zhou Xu's annoying face outside the house.

The furnishings in the house were indeed similar to her previous bedroom. It was very simply decorated with only a bed, a wardrobe, and an attached bathroom.

Fu Qin opened the wardrobe and found the clothes inside were similar to her previous dressing habits, all light and convenient for movement.

She casually grabbed a sweatshirt and some work pants, went into the bathroom, took a quick cold shower, and used the computer to get a more detailed understanding of the current situation in the Federation.

In the interstellar age where the average life expectancy has reached 500 years, twenty years is not considered long and did not even leave a trace on Zhou Xu's face.

Therefore, Fu Qin had no idea about the time of twenty years before. It was not until he learned about it through the optical computer that he realized that twenty years can really change a lot of things.

In the end, Fu Qin only took ten minutes to get himself ready.

Before going out, she passed by the mirror in front of the sink and caught a glimpse of herself in it.

Her black natural curls fell loosely on both sides, and above her pale cheeks were a pair of black eyes that seemed to be able to swallow up the light.

His face was pale and he looked malnourished.

It was Fuqin's face.

If the face is the same, at least it saves her the time of getting used to it again.

Thinking of this, Fu Qin walked out the door and found Zhou Xu still standing at the door.

He has changed his glasses.

Seeing that Fu Qin had packed up, Zhou Xu closed the laptop in his hand and raised his chin, "Let's go."

Fu Qin followed in silence.

Song Tingyun was in the reception room on the first floor of the institute.

When Fu Qin and Zhou Xu went downstairs, they met many researchers from the institute. Everyone gasped at the sight of Zhou Xu's bruised face. They were curious but did not dare to ask due to Zhou Xu's intimidation. They could only look at each other and pretend not to see anything.

In the reception room, Song Tingyun was drinking tea.

He was wearing casual clothes, his short dark brown hair was perfectly fixed in place without a trace of disorder. His posture was so upright that he looked more like a scholar than a military commander.

Seeing the two people enter the room, Song Tingyun put down his teacup and stood up, his blue eyes clear and bright.

He ignored Zhou Xu who was walking in front of him and looked straight at Fu Qin, his eyes full of emotions: "Long time no see."

"Long time no see." Fu Qin said, and sat down on the single sofa beside him without any courtesy.

Being ignored, Zhou Xu pushed up his glasses, trying to make himself felt: "Your Excellency Marshal is usually so busy, but today he has some free time."

Only then did Song Tingyun look at Zhou Xu.

He didn't react at all to Zhou Xu's bruised face, obviously he was used to Zhou Xu being beaten up.

"I'm here to look for Fu Qin." Song Tingyun said.

Zhou Xu just sat down on the single sofa on the other side and rolled his eyes when he heard this. "Yes, Marshal, you have connections everywhere. You know everything that happens in my small research institute."

Facing Zhou Xu's sarcastic tone, Song Tingyun simply smiled and replied, "Mutually."

Seeing Zhou Xu was about to mock him again, Fu Qin couldn't stand it anymore and asked Song Tingyun, "So why did you come to me?"

"Tsk." Zhou Xu's expression became even more grumpy after his output was interrupted, and he simply turned his face away.

Song Tingyun's expression didn't change. He took out the item that had been in the inner pocket of his windbreaker and showed it to Fu Qin. "I'm here to return it to its original owner."

In Song Tingyun's hand was a prismatic pendant, which glowed cold white under the light, like a sharp blade waiting to be unleashed.

Fu Qin rarely showed any emotion. The moment he saw the pendant, he stood up from the sofa and said, "Bai Hao! Didn't it explode? Why is it here with you?"

Bai Hao is Fu Qin's mecha. At the last moment of the battle that year, Fu Qin knew that he could not leave alive, so he simply went deep into the enemy and activated Bai Hao's self-destruct program. She and Bai Hao were also blown to pieces in this battle.

Before Song Tingyun could reply, Zhou Xu, who was standing beside him, spoke up unwillingly, "You were blown into pieces, but I was able to piece them back together. Bai Hao is much more resilient than you."

Fu Qin ignored him and just stared at Song Tingyun.

"After the battle, we salvaged for several days and found the core of Bai Hao. Fortunately, the core was not damaged. This is the Bai Hao restored according to the drawings. It has been waiting for its owner." As he said, Song Tingyun handed the pendant to Fu Qin.

Fu Qin held the pendant and activated her mental power. Familiar synchronization fluctuations came from the palm of her hand, and she directly connected to Bai Hao's main control core.

Bai Hao's voice rang in Fu Qin's mind: "General, welcome back."

The long-lost voice brought Fu Qin's heart back to earth.

The author has something to say:

Song Tingyun and Zhou Xu: So we are not important?
