Chapter 30 Treat him like a child

Yingyue raised her head, looking at the man in front of her with a puzzled expression.

Huo Cheng blushed all the way to the roots of his neck.

"I'll do it myself."

"My hand is fine."

"Oh, do you have the strength now?"

Yingyue truly has no ulterior motives whatsoever.

She wanted to help him untie his pants only because she was worried he didn't have the strength.

Faced with such innocent and naive eyes, Huo Cheng felt a lump in his throat and his body heat up. It took him a while to force himself to look away.

"have."

"Wait for me outside, okay?"

"I'll call you when I'm better."

Yingyue stood up, seemingly understanding but not quite. "Okay, but you can't put weight on your legs!"

"good."

After giving Huo Cheng his instructions, Yingyue left, considerately closing the door behind her before returning to her bedside to continue reading her notebook.

Huo Cheng stayed in the bathroom for a while before opening the door and letting Yingyue carry him back to bed.

Yingyue put down her notebook and happily went over.

She was rarely unhappy when she was with Huo Cheng.

No matter what she's doing, she always has a smile on her face.

They carried Huo Cheng to the bed and gently laid him down, then covered him with a blanket.

She then put away the stool in the bathroom, washed her hands, and came back to the bedside to talk to Huo Cheng, reading to him.

The dim light shone on Yingyue's face, making her already sweet face even softer, as if radiating a faint golden light, making it impossible to look away.

Huo Cheng smiled faintly as he listened to her read, and his mood became very calm.

My legs, which were in a lot of pain, seemed to miraculously feel less painful after being soothed by her voice.

Huo Cheng gradually fell asleep.

Once he was completely asleep, Yingyue breathed a sigh of relief, put down her book, and crawled into the empty bed next door to sleep.

Huo Cheng was in the hospital's most luxurious single room.

The ward not only has a bathroom, but also a small single sofa and a bed for the person accompanying the patient.

Yingyue slept on that bed.

The little Pixiu, taking care of an injured person for the first time, didn't dare to sleep too soundly.

He closed his eyes for a while, then opened them again to check on the opposite bed. Finding nothing amiss, he closed his eyes again.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, she suddenly opened her eyes again, looked at everyone, and seeing that no one was there, she closed her eyes again.

This was repeated several times.

Yingyue felt that this was not a solution.

She racked her brains, got out of bed, and moved the accompanying bed closer to Huo Cheng's hospital bed, leaving about a fist's distance between the two beds.

Only then did she take Huo Cheng's hand and lie down.

Huo Cheng had just undergone major surgery and was still very weak.

He opened his eyes and looked around when he noticed someone holding his hand.

Upon confirming it was Yingyue, a faint smile appeared on his face, and he drifted back to sleep.

The next morning, when Liu Qiuyue came over, she saw her beloved daughter-in-law rubbing her head against her son's shoulder, but her body was lying sideways in the opposite direction.

Even when she's asleep, this girl doesn't forget to stay away from her son's injured leg!

Just as Liu Qiuyue was about to call for help, Huo Cheng opened his eyes and gently stopped her.

"Yueyue didn't sleep well last night, let her get some more sleep."

The son's voice was gentle.

The gazes that fell upon Yingyue were full of doting affection.

Liu Qiuyue understood.

After putting down breakfast, I tiptoed out of the ward!

Yingyue woke up when Wu Minzhe and the others arrived.

She didn't wake up on her own; Huo Cheng gently woke her up.

When I first opened my eyes, I was a little dazed. I sat up and looked around blankly, trying to remember where I was.

After sleeping all night, her hair was a little messy, hanging down casually and partially obscuring her face.

Huo Cheng smiled faintly and reached out to pinch her cheek. "Professor Wu and the others are here."

Yingyue exclaimed "Ah!" before realizing what was happening.

She quickly tied her hair up, got out of bed, and pushed the cot aside, her movements practiced and seamless.

Seeing this, Huo Cheng's smile became even gentler.

When Wu Minzhe came over to do the examination and asked about Huo Cheng's condition, his gaze fell on the notebook that was spread out not far away.

He looked away and nodded slightly.

His eyes were full of relief.

After a simple check-up to confirm that everything was fine, a nurse came to give Huo Cheng an injection.

Yingyue watched as the long needle pierced Huo Cheng's skin, and she felt for Huo Cheng how painful it was.

As soon as the nurse left, Yingyue immediately went up to Huo Cheng and carefully blew on the back of his hand.

"It won't hurt for long!"

Huo Cheng chuckled.

The others in the ward laughed when they saw this.

Comrade Cheng Yingyue is so adorable.

But her cuteness wasn't feigned; it was cultivated from her pure and innocent nature, untouched by worldly corruption.

This shows that she must have had a very good childhood environment.

Only a good growing environment can cultivate such a frank personality.

Wu Minzhe and the others checked on Huo Cheng and inquired about his current condition before leaving the ward.

They left, and Yingyue was hungry.

Time to wash up and have breakfast.

Of course, after she washed up, she didn't forget to carry Huo Cheng to the bathroom and let him sit on a stool to wash up.

The medicine bottle was hanging on the bathroom wall, and she waited obediently outside.

She wouldn't open the door unless Huo Cheng called her.

The little Pixiu has already learned to respect other people's privacy!

After washing up, she ate and drank, read and studied in the ward, talked with Huo Cheng, and told him about the things that happened on the mountain.
