Chapter 32 Yueyue is the group's darling!

The firefly moon doesn't feel bitter.

She recalled that the previous owner of this body had never felt that she was suffering.

So she shook her head.

“It’s nice up in the mountains too.”

"It's just that there's no meat to eat."

“My senior classmates are usually very nice to me.”

Despite Yingyue's words, Old Master Huo still felt bad.

If she hadn't grown up on the mountain, but instead had grown up among them, she would probably be similar to Huo Qing—sunny, cheerful, clever, and cunning.

Of course, that doesn't mean Yingyue isn't smart now.

Grandpa Huo felt that Yingyue was too naive now.

I'm really worried that she'll be scammed!

Yingyue noticed a faint sadness in the old man's eyes, and tilted her head to look at Huo Cheng.

Huo Cheng squeezed her hand and whispered a promise to the old man, "Grandpa, I will take good care of Yueyue."

Upon hearing this, Old Master Huo slowly nodded.

The next second, his expression changed drastically.

"Isn't that obvious?"

"Yue is your wife now. If you can't even take care of your wife, can you still call yourself a man?"

Old Master Huo glared at Huo Cheng, clearly displeased.

"I'm making this clear today: if you ever cause Yue'er even the slightest grievance, don't blame me for disowning you as my grandson!"

The old man's face was grim; this wasn't something he was doing for Yingyue's benefit.

It was actually a warning to Huo Cheng.

Similarly, the old lady, Huo Guangming, Liu Qiuyue, and others standing to the side, although they did not issue such a direct warning as the old man, could be seen from their expressions that they also agreed with the old man's words.

If Huo Cheng treats Ying Yue badly in the future, he will really not get away with it.

Huo Cheng held Yingyue's hand without saying a word.

Huo Yan, standing to the side, did have a slight objection.

This little Taoist nun is really capable; she can get the whole family to side with her. Humph.

No one knew what Huo Yan was whimpering about.

Huo Qing quickly returned from outside. As soon as she came in, she greeted her grandparents and then took Yingyue's arm, pulling her aside to talk.

I talked to her about what I've been up to at school lately.

After talking for a while, she changed the subject and looked up at Liu Qiuyue.

"Mom, you said before that the committee members came to our house and caused trouble last month, right?"

"What's the name of that leader, Yu Tao?"

"What's wrong?"

Liu Qiuyue didn't know why her daughter brought up this matter again.

“I asked your Uncle Luo, and he said that person’s name is Du Yutao, and he’s a newcomer who just started working on the committee.”

Huo Qing sighed, "When I came back just now, I saw some police officers at the cotton mill. I asked around and they said someone died there. The deceased was a member of the committee."

It's that Du Yutao.

Liu Qiuyue was stunned for a moment.

"What a coincidence?"

"What's so coincidental? Anyone who comes to our house to cause trouble is obviously up to no good."

Huo Qing did not believe it was a coincidence.

She felt that Du Yutao's death was entirely his own doing.

Others thought so too.

However, since someone had died, they didn't continue discussing the topic.

I just hope the police can find the murderer quickly to avoid causing panic!

Five days passed in the blink of an eye.

Yingyue no longer needs to go to the hospital to study; she stays home every day to take care of Huo Cheng and read the notes Wu Minzhe gave her.

She read a little bit of her notebooks every day, and over time, she read quite a lot.

It has been a full month since Huo Cheng underwent surgery.

Wu Minzhe came to the Huo family, spoke with them for a while, and then took his leave.

"Is the professor going back to Beijing?"

Huo Cheng asked.

Wu Minzhe nodded, "Yes, it was a last-minute decision to come here. I also have work scheduled over there, so I can't leave for too long."

When Professor Wu was young, he went abroad to study with a team.

His technique is currently top-notch.

Huo Cheng thought of Professor Wu's background of studying abroad, and considering the current chaos outside, he frowned slightly.

"My leg is all thanks to Professor Wu. If you need any help from me after you get back, please be sure to contact me."

We are all smart people.

Professor Wu knows the current situation outside without Huo Cheng needing to explain.

Huo Cheng was worried that something might happen to him.

Wu Minzhe smiled and said, "It's okay, don't worry about me."

"I'm doing my academic work honestly and without any problems, nothing will happen to me."

He remained relatively optimistic.

Huo Cheng was not as optimistic as Wu Minzhe.

Wu Minzhe spoke with Huo Cheng for a while, then turned to talk to Yingyue.

"Study the notes I gave you carefully. If there's anything you don't understand, write to me."

His gaze toward Yingyue was filled with loving kindness.

Yingyue nodded.

She looked up at Wu Minzhe, pursed her lips, and reached out to hold his hand.

"What's wrong?"

Wu Minzhe was somewhat surprised.

I don't know why the little girl held his hand.

Yingyue shook her head.

“My master said that I am an auspicious omen and can bring good luck.”

The little Pixiu has already learned to lie.

He fabricated his own origins and attributed them to his master.

"I'm giving you some good luck so that everything will go smoothly for you in the future."

Her voice was still very young.

His expression, however, was very serious.

Wu Minzhe initially didn't take it to heart.

I just think that the little girl from the Cheng family is so innocent and adorable.
