Chapter 138

Qingya walked along the way. There were two guards standing at the door of the imperial study. They were tall and serious, and their eyes were vigilantly watching the surroundings. Qingya smiled slightly, walked slowly in front of the guards, and said softly: "You two, I want to see His Royal Highness, can you let me know?"

The guards looked at each other, and one of them stepped forward, looked Qingya up and down, and asked, "Who is the young lady?"

"I am the prime minister's daughter, Lin Qingya." Qingya's tone was calm and her eyes were firm. She believed that her identity was enough to dispel the guards' doubts.

The guard thought for a moment, nodded, turned around and knocked on the door of the imperial study. After a moment, the door opened, and a guard in official uniform stuck his head out and asked, "Who is it?"

"Lin Qingya requests to see His Royal Highness." The guard said in a low voice.

"Wait a minute." The guard closed the door, and Qingya heard footsteps coming from inside. She narrowed her eyes slightly and carefully observed the surrounding environment. The imperial study was located in the center of the palace, surrounded by tall palace walls, and the surrounding flowers, plants and trees were neatly trimmed, but Qingya could feel a cold breath, as if some kind of danger was hidden.

After a while, the door opened again, and the guard said respectfully to Qingya, "Your Highness, please come in."

Qingya nodded slightly and stepped into the imperial study. The imperial study was dark, with only a single lamp flickering a faint light in the corner. Li Chengqian sat at the desk with his back to Qingya, looking down and reading a bamboo scroll.

"Your Highness, what are you looking at?" Qingya walked in front of Li Chengqian and asked softly.

Hearing this, Li Chengqian slowly raised his head with a smile on his face and a sly look in his eyes, "Miss Qingya, how come you are here?"

"Let me see you." Qingya's tone was calm, but she stared into Li Chengqian's eyes calmly. She wanted to see something from his eyes.

"Oh? You just came to see me?" Li Chengqian's tone was a little playful, and his eyes seemed to be able to see through Qingyanei's thoughts.

"Of course not." Qingya smiled faintly and said, "I want to talk to you about something else."

"What to talk about?" Li Chengqian put down the bamboo slips in his hand, raised his head and looked at Qingya, with a trace of scrutiny in his eyes.

"About your plan." Qingya looked directly into Li Chengqian's eyes and said calmly, "I know you have been planning something in secret."

Li Chengqian raised his lips slightly, and a flash of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure and whispered, "Miss Qingya, you are getting smarter and smarter. How did you know that?"

"This is not serious." Qingya's tone was calm and her eyes were firm. She had seen the panic in Li Chengqian's eyes. "What's serious is that your plan has been exposed."

Li Chengqian's smile froze on his face, his eyes flickered, trying to hide his inner uneasiness. He pretended to be calm and said with a smile: "Miss Qingya, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

Qingya ignored Li Chengqian's excuses. She looked around and found several weapons in the corner of the imperial study. There were also several obvious scratches on the wall, which showed that a fierce fight had taken place here.

Qingya sneered, pointing at the weapon and said, "Your Highness, what's going on? Why are there weapons in your room?"

Li Chengqian took a deep breath, a hint of ferocity flashed in his eyes. He stood up suddenly, grabbed the teacup on the table, and threw it to the ground. The sound of the teacup breaking echoed in the room, and the tea splashed everywhere.

"Stop talking nonsense here!" Li Chengqian roared, "Why are there weapons in my room? You are slandering me!"

Qingya remained calm. She walked calmly in front of Li Chengqian and asked softly, "Are you really not lying?"

Her elegant eyes revealed a kind of insightful wisdom, and her tone, although calm, carried an unquestionable power.

"You..." Li Chengqian was flustered by Qingya's eyes. He subconsciously took a step back, but found that there was no way to retreat behind him.

At this moment, a cold light flashed, Qingya felt a murderous aura coming, she instinctively dodged to the side and was narrowly avoided being hit by a hidden weapon.

Qingya suddenly looked up and found a black-clad assassin hiding on the roof. The assassin was holding a sharp dagger in his hand and attacked Qingya.

"Who are you?" Qingya asked in a deep voice, her tone full of vigilance.

The assassin did not answer Qingya's question. Instead, he moved swiftly, climbing over the beams and walls, and continuously attacked Qingya, causing chaos in the room.

Qingya dodged while watching the assassin's movements, trying to find some clues from his actions.

"You must be Li Chengqian's accomplice!" Qingya said in a low voice, with a hint of coldness in her voice.

"You..." The assassin was startled by Qingya's words, and his movements paused slightly, revealing a flaw.

Qingya seized the opportunity and acted quickly, kicking the assassin with a beautiful whirlwind kick, knocking the assassin off the roof.

The assassin let out a scream and fell heavily to the ground.

"You...you..." The assassin struggled to get up, but his body was unable to move.

Qingya looked at the assassin coldly and said in a cold tone: "Do you think you can succeed by hiding in the dark?"

Qingya's tone was full of murderous intent. She did not give the assassin any chance. She directly drew the sword at her waist and stabbed towards the assassin's neck.

"Stop!" At this moment, a voice suddenly rang out from the door of the imperial study.

Qingya looked back and saw Li Rui rushing into the room with several guards.
