Chapter 9
Hurrying to the lobby, Lin Xing saw Uncle Gui from afar, but did not find the other person beside him.
"Uncle Gui, you asked Huan'er to call me, why didn't I see the person looking for me?"
"Shopkeeper, he's gone."
"Left? Did he say anything?"
If she wasn't afraid of damaging her image in the public eye, Lin Xing would have definitely cursed loudly. Now she could only silently complain in her heart: What kind of person is this? It's such a waste of feelings to do this.
Uncle Gui interrupted her inner complaints and said, "He said his name is Xu Xian, and he is an old friend of the shopkeeper."

Uncle Gui felt that it was getting late, so he let Lin Xing go after giving her a few final instructions. Lin Xing returned to her bedroom, lay on the bed, forced herself to fall asleep, and no longer thought about what happened today.
