Chapter 53 053 Bastard
Chapter 53
Kong Fan arrived, dusty and exhausted. He stood in the distance, his slightly wrinkled monk's robes fluttering in the cool breeze, mingled with the shattered snow. The usually gentle and neat man's face was slightly pale, and his slightly panting chest showed that he had been traveling for a long time.
The moment she saw him, Yingji ran towards him without thinking.
She had just taken a step when a man grabbed her wrist forcefully.
"Stop her!" the villagers shouted angrily.
Ying Ji frowned, and a small poisonous arrow shot out from her sleeve, brushing past the hand of the man who was holding her wrist. The man gasped and instantly withdrew his hand in pain.
Yingji broke free from the shackles and continued to run towards Kongfan.
"Don't let her run away! Catch that outsider as well!" The village chief of the hidden village shouted while hitting the ground hard with the crutch in his hand.
Lin Xiao curiously observed Kong Fan in the distance. He could tell Ying Ji knew the monk. He hesitated. While the others chased after Ying Ji, he, the groom, stood still and didn't follow.
Kong Fan took a deep look at the wedding dress Ying Ji was wearing. He raised his hand, and the falling snow stopped instantly. A golden stream of light fell from the sky, forming a soft barrier, isolating Ying Ji from behind and stopping the people who were chasing Ying Ji.
Suddenly someone from the Hidden Village shouted in fear: "Evil power!"
Those who were chasing Ying Ji looked at the golden barrier in fear as if they had seen a ghost. They retreated again and again and finally fled in panic.
Yingji glanced back, stopped running, and slowed down, walking towards Kongfan step by step. When she was still seven or eight steps away from Kongfan, Yingji took off her headdress covered with red beads and threw it at Kongfan.
With anger.
The red bridal headdress hit Kong Fan's chest, then slowly fell and rolled away from Kong Fan's feet.
Yingji had already walked in front of Kongfan. She glared at him with raised eyebrows, her unhappiness written all over her face.
Kong Fan reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Yingji shook his hand off and continued to glare at him angrily.
Kong Fan was silent for a moment, took a step forward, opened his arms, and gently embraced Ying Ji in his arms.
He said, "My bad."
Yingji stopped struggling all of a sudden, then she raised her arms to hug Kongfan's waist and buried her face quietly in his arms.
The falling snow, still in mid-air, continued to flutter.
Kong Fan looked past the falling snow, at the only person still standing in the distant Hidden Village, and said, "Your groom hasn't left yet."
Ying Ji looked back and saw that Lin Xiao was the only one left at the village entrance which was crowded with people just a moment ago.
She turned around, looked up at Kong Fan from her arms, and asked, "Do you want me to continue the wedding? Do you still want to be the officiant?"
Kong Fan didn't say anything.
He let go of Yingji's waist, took her hand, and led her back. He walked with Yingji for a long distance, until the snow fell on both of their shoulders.
Kong Fan took Ying Ji to the beach, where a small boat was moored.
He took Yingji on board.
The ordinary small wooden boat was covered with a layer of golden light and quickly sailed away from the coast. The calm and vast sea surface was like a giant sword, and the surging waves avoided it.
The excessive speed made the sea breeze as sharp as a knife. Yingji huddled in Kongfan's arms, resting her face on his chest to avoid the wind.
After a long while, Yingji shifted in Kongfan's arms, finding the spot where his heart was. She first placed her ear against his chest, listening to his heartbeat amidst the clamor of the sea breeze, then she tore open his monk's robe and gently bit his heart.
The force of the bite gradually deepened, and the white teeth ground slowly until a red mark was left on Kong Fan's heart.
Kong Fan lowered his head and watched her fooling around quietly.
Yingji suddenly raised her eyes to meet Kongfan's gaze. "How did you get here?" she asked.
"banana."
Yingji smiled and said in surprise: "You've grown up and become smarter!"
Ying Ji asked the question in her heart: "Do you know this place called the Hidden Village? I have never understood why there are no monsters in the deep mountains?"
"A long time ago, a venerable discovered the Hidden Village. At that time, there were demonic beasts in the mountains and forests. The venerable fulfilled his wish and secretly eliminated the demonic beasts. Hundreds of years later, other spiritual cultivators successively eliminated the demonic beasts, making the Hidden Village a place where ordinary people can live."
Yingji listened with a sigh. Ordinary people thought they had found a secluded place, but they were actually living under the control and surveillance of spiritual cultivators. Even the demonic beasts that posed a threat to ordinary people were secretly eliminated by spiritual cultivators. So what was the spiritual cultivators' purpose in doing this? Were they using the hidden village as a test subject for fun?
Suddenly, a sea breeze came with waves, interrupting Yingji's thoughts. She immediately buried her face in Kongfan's arms, but still couldn't avoid the pouring sea water.
Kong Fan looked down at her and reached out to move the two strands of wet hair that were wet by the sea water away from Yingji's face.
Yingji nestled quietly in Kongfan's arms for a long time, until the boat slowed down, the wind calmed down, and seagulls sang beside her ears.
Yingji raised her face from Kongfan's arms, hooked her hands around Kongfan's neck, and looked at him with a frown.
"Kong Fan," she muttered, "Can you please say something nice to comfort me?"
"What sounds nice?" Kong Fan looked at her and asked seriously.
"You said you were worried because you couldn't find me, that you missed me, that you didn't want me to marry someone else," Yingji curled her lips, "and that you wanted to kiss me."
Their eyes met.
Ying Ji looked at Kong Fan's clear eyes. His eyes were always so clean and clear, not like those of a mortal with selfish desires.
Kong Fan said nothing.
He just lowered his head and kissed Yingji's lips which were slightly salty from the sea water.
Guided by the love water of Hehuanyue and based on instinctive desire, Yingji hooked her arms around Kongfan's neck and kissed him back.
When his clothes were disheveled and his breath was heavy, Yingji suddenly distanced herself from him. Their foreheads touched, listening closely to each other's breathing. Yingji asked softly, "Kongfan, are you detoxifying me, or do you want to?"
Kong Fan didn't want to answer. He leaned forward and kissed Yingji's lips again.
Yingji stepped back and pulled away from the wet kiss again.
Kong Fan raised his eyes and looked at Ying Ji. He saw a strange self in Ying Ji's eyes.
I am such a mess and a bastard.
"I think."
Monks never speak falsely. I speak what I think.
Yingji's lips curled up into a cunning and satisfied smile, and she offered her lips to him as a reward, letting him take the initiative.
The sea breeze blew unscrupulously, blowing the bright red wedding dress high up. The wedding dress was stained with sea water and was blown up again. It fluttered in the air for a while and slowly fell into the sea.
When Yingji followed Kongfan back to Puja Temple, she was wearing Kongfan's monk robe.
Fortunately, Kong Fan teleported her back and no one saw her.
"I'll come to see you in two days." Kong Fan sent Ying Ji to the door but did not go in.
He tried his best to hide his lost spiritual power and surging blood in front of Ying Ji. He needed to return to the lotus pond immediately.
Yingji pushed open the door and saw Bajiao lying on the ground with his legs spread out, sleeping soundly.
Hearing the sound, Basho opened her eyes suspiciously. Seeing that it was Yingji who came back, she immediately jumped up happily and rushed towards Yingji.
Yingji held her tightly, patted her head, and praised: "Good girl, you've become smarter!"
Basho's smiling face suddenly turned pale and he shouted angrily, "You stinky monk dragged me down the mountain. Luckily I ran fast!"
Yingji hurriedly asked, "Did Wudao hurt you?"
"I'm so awesome!" Basho chuckled. "That stinky monk has been locked up by Kongfan!"
Kong Fan locked Wu Dao up? Ying Ji was a little surprised.
Yingji found it funny again. On the way back, she didn't ask Kongfan anything. She just kept kissing him...
Bajiao suddenly remembered something and immediately took out Yingji's Qiankun bag from his waist bag and handed it to her.
Yingji's eyes lit up, and she gave Basho a big kiss on the cheek. "You're so clever!"
She held the Qiankun bag solemnly again and swore in her heart that she would never leave it again!
After all the hard work along the way, or to be more precise, being tormented by Kong Fan, Ying Ji felt a little tired. She took a quick shower and immediately lay down on the bed and had a good sleep, sleeping until dawn the next day.
Yingji pushed open the door, stepped into the courtyard, and saw Kongfan's master Wuchen at a glance.
Basho came over and said, "This old monk came here last night, but he left when he found out you were sleeping!"
"Master Wuchen, is there something you want to talk to me about?" Ying Ji asked cautiously. Her previous experience with Wu Dao had made her no longer trust these Buddhists.
"Does the donor want to see Kong Fan's current state?" Wu Chen smiled compassionately. "Every time he goes into seclusion to practice, he is healing. In order to cure the donor's poison, he has lost nearly three hundred years of cultivation."
