Chapter 12: There are steamed buns to eat! shuhaige.net

It hurts? Where does it hurt?

Did I bump him and hurt him?

She didn't seem to be using much force, and she didn't do it on purpose. Since it hurts, just rub it with your hand.

She reached out and touched his chest, then began to rub it gently, trying to be as light as possible so as not to hurt him.

But Su Nanxi's actions caused Mo Qinghe great distress, as she was unaware that she was testing his limits.

Mo Qinghe pressed down on her hand and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Not here."

Not here, that's probably the stomach.

Su Nanxi easily broke free from his hand, moved to his abdomen, and slowly massaged it in circles.

Mo Qinghe panicked and dared not say it wasn't there, afraid that if he did, he would rub her groin. He grabbed her hand to stop her from rubbing. After a while, he calmed down and said lightly, "It's okay, I'll be fine after a bit, no need to rub."

Su Nanxi felt a little pain from his grip, but thinking he was in pain and needed support, she let him be.

A while later, he let go of her hand, collapsed on the bed, and was as weak as a stranded fish.

Su Nanxi remembered that he was covered in sweat and had no towel to wipe it off, so she simply used her own sleeve to wipe it off.

On the surface, she wears her clothes every day without washing them, but secretly she washes and dries them every day in her spatial dimension, so her clothes are never dirty or smelly.

Mo Qinghe felt at ease smelling the lingering fragrance on her clothes. He looked up at the person in front of him, his eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted off to sleep.

I woke up with a start from my dream and found that it was just getting light. Su Nanxi was no longer in the room.

He quickly got up and went out into the yard. No one was up yet, and Su Nanxi was nowhere to be seen, but a delicious aroma filled the yard. Following the scent, he saw movement in the kitchen.

Smoke rose from the kitchen, filling the air with smoke, and shadowy figures moved about inside.

Who got up so early?

We don't usually light a fire in the morning, what's wrong today?

Just as Mo Qinghe was making all sorts of guesses, the person inside came out, saw that he had gotten up, brought him some rinsing water, and then turned around and went back into the kitchen.

A moment later, Su Nanxi came out carrying a small bamboo basket, steaming hot inside, and handed it to Mo Qinghe.

Mo Qinghe looked closely and was taken aback. There were two plump, white steamed buns in the basket.

His voice trembled, "You did this?"

Su Nanxi nodded and pushed the basket forward again, indicating that he should take it.

Mo Qinghe swallowed hard, slowly reached out and picked one up, and took a small bite under Su Nanxi's intense gaze.

Su Nanxi leaned closer to look at it, wanting to ask him if it was delicious.

Mo Qinghe nodded vigorously at her, "It's delicious!"

It was absolutely delicious! He had never eaten such delicious buns before. They were fluffy and soft, not sour at all, and had a sweet aroma. The filling inside was flavorful and juicy. One bite and it was bursting with flavor.

Su Nanxi smiled with satisfaction; her recipe proportions were correct.

Mo Qinghe wanted to eat another one, but Su Nanxi suddenly grabbed the basket and ran off. He watched her retreating figure and smiled helplessly.

Su Nanxi came running back a moment later, holding the smoking basket, and gestured in front of him.

"You mean, these three buns have different fillings and they're all for me?" he asked uncertainly.

She nodded vigorously, placed the small basket in his hand, and turned to run into the kitchen. Mo Qinghe watched her leave with a deep gaze.

Children have a more accurate biological clock; they get up as soon as it's light.

Mo Dongcheng was the first to run out. He saw Mo Qinghe eating in the courtyard and asked as he ran over, "Third Uncle, what are you eating?"

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be steamed buns!

"ah!"

The ghost let out a howl.

The old house of the Mo family trembled a few times from his shout, and the people inside rushed out of the house upon hearing it.

What happened?

People rushed over and asked Mo Dongcheng.

Mo Dongcheng pointed at Mo Qinghe and shouted to Grandma Mo, "Grandma, Uncle is eating steamed buns! I want some too!"

Everyone gathered around Mo Qinghe to look, and sure enough, it was steamed buns! No wonder it smelled so good so early in the morning! They all thought the ones next door made them and were secretly cursing them! Turns out, it was their own people eating them!

The children were so hungry they were about to cry, and the adults were also feeling their stomachs rumbling.

Grandma Mo asked her third son, who was calmly eating a steamed bun, "Third son, where did you get these steamed buns so early in the morning?"

Mo Qinghe pointed, "Over there."

Everyone looked in the direction of the kitchen.

They shared the same confusion as Mo Qinghe when they first saw it. In the end, Old Lady Mo stopped everyone and went into the kitchen to take a look herself.

As soon as I entered, I saw Su Nanxi. Before I could even ask her anything, a large basket of steaming hot buns was stuffed into my hand, and then I was pushed around and led out the door.

When everyone saw Old Lady Mo carrying out something smoking, they were startled. Old Master Mo, fearing that his mother might get hurt, quickly stepped forward to take it. He was even more shocked when he got closer and saw what was in the basket.

Grandma Mo pushed her eldest son aside, presented the basket to everyone, and said with a hint of pride, "This was made by the mute mother. Everyone, eat it while it's hot. Let the children take it first, one by one, don't push or shove."

Everyone took one, looked at it carefully, and then slowly started eating. After taking a bite, they couldn't stop.

The Mo couple were moved to tears; in all their decades of life, this was the first time they had ever tasted such delicious steamed buns.

After the children finished eating, they wanted more, so Grandma Mo went into the kitchen and came out carrying another large basket.

"Oh dear, these are different fillings. This child has worked so hard, getting up so early to make so many buns," Qin said with satisfaction.

Mo Yunmei scoffed and said with dissatisfaction, "Shouldn't she have done that?"

Boss Mo glanced at him coldly, his imposing presence radiating without anger. "What do you mean by 'should'? What should you do then?"

Mo Yunmei shouted at the top of her lungs, "Isn't that right? Which daughter-in-law doesn't have to get up early to work? If she's going to be a daughter-in-law, she should have this kind of awareness and take good care of our family."

Mo Laoda swallowed the bun in his mouth, looked at his increasingly outrageous younger sister, and said calmly, "You know quite a lot, but who told you that?"

Qin, who was listening nearby, knew that her husband was about to lose his temper, so she quickly came over and grabbed his arm.

Mo Yunmei, completely unaware that she was about to be beaten, raised her eyebrows smugly and said, "Sister Qiuxia knows a lot; she told me!"

"Oh!" Mo Laoda drawled out the last syllable, his wife gripping his arm, but his rationality remained. "She knows so much, but has she ever told you that a sister-in-law should always try to please her sister-in-law at home?"

Mo Yunmei snorted, "Why should I fawn over her? If anyone should fawn over someone, it should be her fawning over me!"

Grandma Mo also couldn't stand her daughter anymore, and became even more unreasonable. "Why should anyone try to please you? This is her home, not yours! In two years, when you get married, your husband's family will be your home! If you treat your sister-in-law badly, she won't even let you into the house anymore, and nobody will say a word!"

Upon hearing this, Mo Yunmei's temper flared up, and she retorted sharply, "She dares!"

Mo Qinghe coldly said, "She wouldn't dare, but I would!"

Mo Yunmei got angry, stomped her feet a few times, and ran away in a huff.

Su Nanxi happened to overhear this, and her heart warmed. She handed the basket in her hand to Qin Shi, then turned around and grabbed Mo Qinghe's hand to start drawing.

Mo Qinghe was stunned for a moment, then looked up at her, "Are you sure?"
