Chapter 677 Dragged Out Bound

The constable didn't answer Old Lady Chen, but just looked at her with a half-smile. Old Lady Chen immediately shut up and dared not ask any more questions, lowering her head.

I can't see it!

Unfortunately, her attempt to feign death failed. They were all members of the Chen family; how could they remain uninvolved?

"Go help! We're busy, we don't have time to waste here! Get them out before I run out of patience, or we'll arrest them all!"

Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Chen's survival instinct kicked in, and she vanished in a flash.

That speed... it's unbelievable that an old woman could do that!

He doesn't look sick or unable to take care of himself at all!

The villagers finally saw through Old Mrs. Chen; she had been lying to them again, telling lies everywhere!

He described himself as being so miserable that even his food was being withheld, but look at the way he ran, how could that be!

At this moment, Old Mrs. Chen could no longer care about the villagers' disdain and ridicule. She had only one thought in mind: she must not be arrested again!

She didn't do anything wrong, so whoever did the wrong should be arrested!

It doesn't matter who it is, even if it's my own son!

The grandson is even more problematic; he's not her biological son, and they're a generation apart. Even her son might not be filial, so there's even less reason to expect anything from her grandson!

Life is getting shorter every day, and she hasn't even had a chance to enjoy it yet. She can't afford to take the blame; if she does, she'll be buried with her!

"This won't do! The officers are getting impatient. If you don't take this person out, we'll all be guilty and thrown in jail! You have to accept punishment for your mistakes. You can't escape it! You dared to commit murder. If you don't get rid of the evil spirit, the village won't tolerate you! Stop pretending to be kind and just break down the door!"

Old Mrs. Chen saw it from afar and started yelling. She got angry when she saw her son and daughter-in-law trying to persuade her in a humble manner, and she spoke in a very unfriendly tone!

Pooh!

Why didn't you do this sooner? You can't even teach your children properly!

It's one thing to spoil them too much in the past, but now they're acting like loving mothers and fathers, how could they possibly bring them out like this!

A bunch of brainless idiots!

It must be that those useless guys said something in secret, and those brats overheard it. Otherwise, how could they have the audacity to do something like this!

She, Old Lady Chen, is only capable of throwing tantrums and acting like a rogue, and she might be a bit of a bully in the village, but she doesn't have the guts to kill anyone!

This is happening in broad daylight! It's utterly lawless!

The Mo family is a tough nut to crack; they're not people like them. Don't they even consider who else in the village would dare to be arrogant towards the Mo family?

She's so angry!

She might end up in jail too!

That prison is no place for a human being; it's where nightmares begin!

Whether others are afraid or not is unknown, but she is definitely terrified!

She would rather die than go back in!

So, let's push those brainless people out and let each person take responsibility for their own actions!

Don't drag this old woman, who's half-buried in the ground, into this mess!

She would rather eke out a living outside than go to jail!

Chen Laoda and Chen Laoer hardened their hearts and smashed open the door.

The house was flimsy to begin with, and so was the door; they were so old and worn out that they couldn't withstand a strong slam. They opened in no time.

The next moment, screams and squeaks came from inside, accompanied by clattering sounds, creating a rather chaotic scene.

Finally, regardless of their wishes or how much they cried and struggled, the child inside was still tied up and taken out.

Yes, it was Old Mrs. Chen who went to get the rope. She didn't trust her son and daughter-in-law, nor did she believe those bastards would be so well-behaved!

Once they're tied up, it'll be much more secure. There's no need to catch them one by one; you can't possibly catch them all, and they won't run away!

The villagers were still shocked when they saw a string of children being dragged out.

It was only for a moment, humph, not pitiful. If they had a conscience and didn't do bad things, they wouldn't have ended up like this!

This is nobody's fault!

They are now disheveled because they refused to be punished and struggled desperately. It's not like anyone did anything to them. If we pity them, then who will pity the Mo family's child?

If no one happens to pass by, the person will be gone!

What a wonderful child! Sensible, diligent, and eager to learn. If he were really gone, the Mo family would be devastated!

How much did people sacrifice to raise such a child? He did nothing wrong, he was completely innocent, and then he was suddenly gone. It's so unfair!

Thinking about it this way, the villagers felt no sympathy for the Chen family's children, only that they deserved it for not learning good things at such a young age!

They must have been planning this for a long time to commit the crime together!

When the group of children reached the constable, they dared not cry out anymore. They just lowered their heads, gritted their teeth, and dared not look at anyone.

Seeing this, Old Lady Chen kicked each of them, forcing them to kneel before the constable, to show that she was being sincere.

"Officers, we've brought the person here. Ask him whatever you want. If he's really committed a crime, deal with him according to the law. We have no objections! If you do something wrong, you have to accept the punishment, otherwise you'll never improve!"

Old Mrs. Chen was upright and dignified, displaying an air of putting righteousness before family ties. She was the most cooperative and sensible of them all!

She did this simply to show the police her sincerity so they wouldn't arrest her!

She didn't care how resentful her children and grandchildren were looking at her. They had already fallen out, so what difference would it make? Besides, it wasn't their place not to support her. As long as they weren't cut off from the relationship, they had to support her!

"You all participated in the murder of Mo Jiaxing?" the officer asked coldly.

The children looked at each other, probably because they couldn't agree on anything, and didn't answer for a long time.

"My sister wasn't involved! She didn't know anything! She just panicked because she saw us panicking!"

“My brother wasn’t involved either! He came looking for us later, and we’ve all come back!”

The constable chuckled. "Have you all forgotten about Mo Jiaxing? He saw everything clearly—who was involved! I'll ask you again, who wasn't involved? Think carefully before you answer!"

The children were drenched in cold sweat, their backs soaked with sweat, and they were terrified as they listened to the officer's words.

The officer spoke very clearly and slowly, in a low, eerie tone, which made them feel uneasy.

They nearly fainted; the pressure was too overwhelming. They were no match for it!

How naive!

The village chief rushed over and just happened to see this scene.

He ran to a nearby village to look for the person, so he didn't know immediately. Later, when he heard that the person had been found, he ran back. As soon as he got back, he heard that the police had arrived, so he rushed over again.

well!

He's really going to be exhausted!

It's been spinning non-stop!

But he couldn't worry about himself, because such a big thing had happened, and the police had come; he had to deal with the situation first.

He truly never expected something like this to happen!

How could the Chen family be so heartless? They all look so alike; they're all black-hearted!

It's terrifying that someone so young is like this!

The Chen family is probably doomed!

The Mo family will definitely not let this go, and the constable must have been hired by the Mo family!

Even at this point, they still want to escape? They're hopeless!

Instead of trying to behave better and receive a lighter punishment!

"We're still children!"
