Chapter 822 Uncle Comes to the Door

Everyone was overjoyed; they had finally found it!

The village chief looked the group up and down, not really believing them. "So what's your relationship to A-Lian? Uncle or aunt?"

The leader, with a dark complexion and yellow teeth, smiled and replied, "I'm her eldest uncle! These are her second and third uncles. Our family is resting not far away! We found out you were here, so we came to check on things. This morning, we met A-Lian's family and heard that A-Lian was lost. Sure enough, we just heard you calling out, and came over, half believing and half doubting."

The man pointed to the two people behind him and introduced them, then pointed to the crowd not far away to show everyone.

Su Nanxi noticed that these people all seemed honest and simple, and their words didn't seem to have any flaws, but she still asked one more question, "How long has it been since you last saw A-Lian? Do you remember what she looks like?"

Upon hearing this, the smiles of the three men noticeably faded, and the leader looked somewhat embarrassed. "We haven't seen A-Lian for quite a while. Well, everyone's been quite busy, and also, her family isn't very welcoming. But we still remember what A-Lian looks like; she's easy to recognize—she has a birthmark the size of a little finger on her right cheek!"

Su Nanxi had been secretly observing the three people's every move. She noticed that they didn't seem to be lying and were probably A-Lian's relatives.

However, she didn't pay much attention to whether Ah Lian had any birthmarks on her face, and besides, Ah Lian was dirty all over, her face was covered in mud, and she didn't wipe it clean.

I don't know if she deliberately made it dirty, or if she just didn't see it and that's why she never cleaned it.

There was no need to specifically call someone to verify; someone in the crowd went to check with Ah Lian and then excitedly ran back, "That's right, she does have a birthmark on her face!"

That should be correct!

The village chief quickly called over Ah Lian, who was hiding in the corner, and pointed at the newcomers, asking, "Do you know them?"

Ah Lian was actually quite willing to be called over. She knew about the three men when they appeared, and she deliberately hid even further away.

Because she doesn't want to go back to her family!

Following these uncles, I'll be taken back sooner or later!

These uncles are useless; they can't even feed themselves, let alone raise her. If she goes with them, she probably won't even have anything to eat!

That's not all; they also have to be mindful of their aunts' moods and suffer from the exclusion from their cousins!

Where is a good place to live when you're dependent on others?

She doesn't want to!

Her mind raced, trying to figure out a way to deny it. After much thought, she decided that pretending not to know him was the only option.

As long as she firmly denies it, no one can force her. She can just pretend to be crazy and fool her, and she'll definitely be able to get away with it!

She wanted to strike first and shut them up, but before she even got close, the three men saw her and called out, "Ah Lian! Ah Lian! Over here! Your uncles have come to pick you up!"

"My child! You've suffered so much! It's all your grandmother's fault for being so heartless, how could she just leave you all alone! I don't believe a second that you got lost, they must have abandoned you on purpose!"

"Exactly! Your father is useless too, he can't even protect his own daughter! She's his own flesh and blood, how can he be so heartless? It's infuriating! You should stay with your uncles! Your mother is a spineless coward, don't count on her!"

"That's right! Stay with your uncles, they won't abandon you. As long as we have food, you won't go hungry! No matter how hard it gets, just hang in there! Everything will be better in this new place!"

"Yes! We'll rest over there for a bit. Come with us later, we'll eat something and rest before we go! Your dad and the others went ahead, they ran very fast, they didn't wait for you at all. Just come with us for now! If we run into them, you can go back if you want!"

The three men started talking non-stop, and Ah Lian was a step behind, so she couldn't get a word in edgewise.

Presumably because they had found her again, the three men were very excited and happy, talking non-stop, and even went to greet A-Lian.

Unfortunately, Ah Lian's emotion was only momentary. She lowered her head, bit her lip, shrank back, and even took a few steps back, showing some resistance.

After hesitating for a moment, he finally uttered the words, "I don't know you!"

The expressions on the three men's faces froze instantly. They probably didn't expect Ah Lian to say that, so they were stunned for a moment before they came to their senses.

The three of them exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with disbelief and incredulity!

Fearing they might have made a mistake, they leaned closer to take a closer look, but as soon as they got close, Ah Lian retreated in fear, terrified!

That's not all. Ah Lian deliberately lowered her head and turned it to one side so that no one could see her right cheek!

Then she started screaming in panic, "Ah! I don't know you! Who are you? Don't come near me, help! I don't know you!"

Suddenly, chaos erupted at the scene, and no one had time to realize what was happening.

Ah Lian desperately tried to squeeze into the crowd, as if she were terrified, so no one stopped her.

The three men were honest and didn't want to be wronged, so they chased after them, turned A-Lian's face around, and wiped the dirt off her face.

“You are Ah Lian! How could I mistake you! When you were little, your mother sent you back to your maternal grandmother's house, and I was the one who took care of you for two or three years. How could I possibly forget you?”

The younger man pointed to the birthmark on Ah Lian's face, "This birthmark is rare, and even if someone does, they won't all look exactly alike! I don't know why you don't recognize us, but we haven't made a mistake, we're not bad people!"

Seeing this, Ah Lian screamed even louder and struggled fiercely. Finally, she broke free and ran into the crowd, hiding at the back.

The three men were also dumbfounded. They didn't know how this could have happened. They just wanted to take her back, and they were being kind. How did it turn out like this?

They were unaware, but Su Nanxi knew.

She chuckled softly. How interesting!

There are no so many whys. If I don't want to go back, I just don't want to go back. I want to stay wherever I like!

How simple!

Su Nanxi understood A-Lian's thoughts, but that didn't mean she agreed with them.

Who doesn't want delicious food and drinks!

Judging from the way these three uncles are dressed, they can't be from wealthy families. Naturally, they wouldn't have much stockpiled goods. Following them is nowhere near as comfortable and carefree as following the Mo family's main group!

Su Nanxi could understand this mentality, but deliberately refusing to acknowledge relatives and showing such disdain for her uncles was going too far!

If it were anyone else, let's see who would go to such lengths to find her!

Ungrateful, selfish bastard!

The village chief quickly came to the rescue, saying, "Ah Lian was a little frightened earlier, and she probably hasn't processed it yet. Why don't we wait until she calms down?"

Upon hearing this, the three men immediately believed it; they must have been deliberately abandoned to frighten them!

"Then, shall we go back over there first and wait for her to calm down?"
