Chapter Thirty-Six: I'm tired of using the word "envy".

Tang Wan craned her neck to look ahead, still somewhat curious.

But she soon lost interest in paying attention to others.

Many people came and surrounded little Tang Wan.

no way.

The other kids either looked indifferent, arrogant, or nonchalant, not taking it to heart at all.

Only this little cub wearing a panda coat was diligently wiping the mushrooms and arranging them according to color.

It looks very homey.

She really loves these cute little mushrooms; she's a little rascal who loves life.

It also appeals to these elderly women.

They watched Tang Wan busy at work, and saw her tail wagging behind her, and they burst out laughing.

"Whose child is this? So young and already knows how to set up a stall."

"Hey kid, how much is that mushroom stuff you're selling?"

Tang Wan blushed slightly.

She pulled her hat up to make sure her face wasn't showing, then took out her tablet and started writing.

[They're all selling for 2 yuan per jin (500g)]

Tang Wan knew that these old women were all residents of the neighborhood; she had seen them since she first arrived.

The mushrooms here are very cheap, usually only two or three yuan.

Perhaps because the mountain where mushrooms are picked is very close to everyone, the mushrooms are sold cheaply.

Tangwan did not ask for a high price.

The grandmothers noticed that Tang Wan didn't speak and only communicated with them using a tablet. Although they found it a bit strange, they were considerate enough not to ask any questions.

One of the elderly women, with a full head of white hair, patiently said, "Then give me two jin."

Her voice was gentle, and she wore modern Chinese-style clothing, giving her a scholarly air.

Tang Wan quickly stood up, took short strides to get a plastic bag, and then weighed two jin (1 kg) for the old lady.

The small scale was quite handy in Tang Wan's hands, and the sight of the little one using it was especially adorable.

It made all the grandmothers feel much better.

There weren't many mushrooms in Tangwan.

This old lady bought it, and there's only a little left.

The other old ladies almost got into an argument over the last bit of mushroom.

Of course, they argued in a very polite manner, without pushing or yelling.

However, this made Tang Wan very anxious.

The little girl was running around the old lady, unable to speak, and could only anxiously call out "Ah!"

Her little face was rosy, like a sweet apple.

In the end, Fu Wenzhi couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward to carry Tang Wan away from the "danger zone".

Then he whispered to Tang Wan, "Aren't you afraid of getting stepped on?"

Tang Wan shook her head, somewhat anxious.

She pulled Fu Wenzhi along and took the mushrooms from his stall as well.

Then he tugged at the old woman on the far right and pointed to his own stall.

"Ahh!"

I always said this family can't function without Tangtang!

[How adorable Tangtang is! She even knows how to mediate a fight!]

The grandmas just love Tangtang so much and want to buy Tangtang's mushrooms.

Wait, wait a minute, these old ladies...

Hmm, these old ladies look kind of familiar.

【Aaaaaah, isn't that my textbook professor?! What's she doing here, retiring?!】

[I was just about to say this, but the way they were grabbing the mushrooms was so different from their usual classroom demeanor; I almost didn't recognize them.]

What kind of riddle are you playing?

[Sob, you might not know these big shots, but let me put it this way: the old lady who bought the first two pounds of mushrooms is actually a professor of traditional Chinese painting at our art academy.]

Her surname is Li, and her given name is Ming Suo. You can search her on Baidu; you'll find her profile there.

[Waaah, they haven't been out in ages, and now they're arguing over two mushrooms.]

[Haha, I laughed and then cried. Professor, when are you coming back? Waaah, Cai Cai, please help me out.]

[Professor: It's too late! It's too late, no one will be able to retrieve you.]

What good will it do you to make me laugh to death? Hahaha.

Tang Wan didn't know the identities of these old women, but she knew she couldn't let them cause any more trouble.

Suddenly, an old woman pinched Tang Wan's cheek, and then she heard, "How about this, you let each of us pinch you once, and we'll buy all the mushrooms."

Just as Tang Wan was about to agree, the children behind her objected.

Gou Xi and Lu Ze, in particular, simply couldn't stand it.

Lu Ze, used to being a little tyrant, suddenly appeared in front of Tang Wan, spread his arms, shielded her behind him, frowned, and put on a stern face, looking quite convincing.

Lu Ze: "No, Tangtang isn't a commodity, you can't calculate it like that."

"You don't have to buy; buying and selling is entirely voluntary."

With that, he grabbed Tang Wan and prepared to leave.

Just then, an old woman came out, looked at Lu Ze, and reached out to pat his head: "Little Ze."

Lu Ze: !!!

Tang Wan clearly saw Lu Ze tremble.

She turned her head with some confusion, looking at the old woman who looked very elegant and noble, and then at Lu Ze who dared not turn around. In a daze, she understood something.

After a while, Lu Ze slowly turned his head, looked at the old woman in front of him, and whispered, "Grandma."

Then, with his eyes closed and a steely resolve, he handed Tang Wan over.

He shouted, "We're all family, feel free to pinch me if you want."

"But! You need to know that this is my aunt. My uncle will definitely be angry if he finds out you're bullying Tangtang!"

Grandma Lu laughed as soon as she heard that.

She pulled Tang Wan close, pinched Tang Wan's soft little face, and snorted, "Do you think I'm afraid of that brat?"

[What does it mean to have one thing subdue another, or that there's always a higher mountain to climb? This is the insurmountable gap for little Lu Ze!]

[Lu Ze: Damn it, I've been manipulated!]

Tang Wan obediently let Grandma Lu pinch her cheeks, and then she was passed to another old woman.

They were still careful; they didn't use much force. They said they were pinching, but they were actually just gently touching it.

Only one elderly woman did not join in the fun.

Her hair was completely white, and the signs of time on her face were more pronounced than those of the other elderly women.

But she wasn't as gentle as these old ladies; she even seemed a bit domineering.

Seeing Tang Wan looking at him, he took a step back with a hint of "disdain".

Seeing this, Tang Wan did not step forward, but stood still, pointed to the mushrooms on the stall, and whispered "Ah".

Then I picked up the tablet and started writing on it.

Do you want more mushrooms?

Tang Wan thought for a moment and then drew a little rabbit on the back, looking at everyone with a pair of big, round eyes.

Even with Tang Wan's head bowed, one could still discern a hint of anticipation.

The old woman at the head clapped her hands, took out ten yuan, and put it in Tang Wan's hand.

"Buy it all!"

They managed to turn a business that only cost a few dollars into a business worth millions.

Wow, I'm so envious of these grandmas! They can see what Tangtang looks like and they can even pinch Tangtang's cheeks!

Tangtang is also very lucky to have met these kind grandmothers.

[Family members, this is a two-way journey!]

I'm so tired of saying the word "envy"!
