Chapter Twelve: Well, thank you for the compliment?

"careful!"

Guo Yueze reacted even faster than Su Jiajia.

He grabbed Tang Wan and pulled her under his body.

The iron bench smashed onto Guo Yueze's foot.

However, he remained silent and endured the pain of the iron object hitting his foot.

Only Tang Wan, nestled in his arms, heard a soft inhale.

Tang Wan quickly realized what was happening. She jumped out of Guo Yueze's arms, looked at him nervously, and clutched his sleeve tightly with both hands, as if she didn't know what to do.

Lu Lin walked up to Guo Yueze, picked up the iron stool, and frowned as he felt its weight.

Then he casually turned off the live stream.

What's going on? Is there anything our esteemed VIPs can't watch?

[Is this considered a live stream mishap? That stool looks pretty heavy.]

[Guo Yueze is really good at riding on people's coattails. He knows Tang Wan is Lin Ge's partner, so he tries to shield her from attention, completely disregarding his own partner.]

[Are you really a fan of Lu Lin? If you are, I truly believe Lu Lin is incredibly unlucky to have met a fan like you.]

[I was just saying, in this situation, wouldn't anyone help the child? That stool was clearly close to Tang Wan; if it had hit her, she probably would have had to be hospitalized!]

The comments section was noisy, and the staff looked at each other in bewilderment.

The photographer asked, somewhat bewildered, "Director, what do we do next?"

The chubby director pondered for a moment, then shook his head: "Let's go check on Teacher Guo first. I remember that stool was quite heavy."

After saying that, the chubby director sighed, lifted his hat, and touched the few hairs he had left.

Who would have thought that the guest would fall twice before the show even started!

This is really a bit of a Mercury retrograde!

Lu Lin first tugged at Tang Wan's sleeve, asking her to make room for him, then looked at Guo Yueze and said, "Why don't you try standing up?"

Guo Yueze was flattered to hear Lu Lin's concern for him.

He quickly shook his head: "It's okay, that thing just looks heavy, it's actually fine."

"It wasn't very high, so it cushioned a lot of the impact, thankfully."

As he spoke, he stood up, stomped his feet to make sure he was alright, reached into his pocket, took out a new lollipop, and handed it to Tang Wan.

He lowered his head, seemingly a little embarrassed: "Here you go, thank you for helping me pick up the candy."

Tang Wan glanced at the candy in Guo Yueze's hand, then turned to look at Lu Lin, as if asking herself if she could accept it.

This obedient appearance immediately softened Lu Linxin's heart.

Although he was still a little angry.

However, he wasn't angry at Tang Wan, but at that impulsive and unruly brat Su Jiajia.

However, Lu Lin couldn't stoop to the level of a child. He simply ignored Su Jiajia, then pinched the two yellow ears on Tang Wan's hat and said irritably, "You just stood there and let her bump into you? You didn't even know to dodge."

As soon as he finished speaking, he reached out and took the lollipop from Tang Wan: "Eat it if you want. After the show is over, I'll buy you a bigger one."

Tang Wan could tell that beneath Lu Lin's irritable voice lay concern for her.

She lowered her head, her face flushed red.

Actually, it wasn't that Tang Wan didn't react; it's just that she realized there was that iron stool right next to her, and if she dodged it, it would definitely fall on Su Jiajia or Guo Yueze.

She thought that although it would hurt if she hit it, nothing serious would happen.

I'm dressed so warmly, I won't get hurt.

It would be a shame to get my nice clothes dirty.

Tang Wan just didn't expect Guo Yueze to protect her.

This surprised Tang Wan, and she was also pleasantly surprised.

It turns out that, besides Brother Lu Lin, there are still people who don't dislike him.

Tang Wan carefully took the candy and then cautiously put it into her backpack, looking as if she cherished it very much.

It should be said that Tang Wan cherishes everything she receives.

She had so little that even the smallest act of kindness from others seemed incredibly precious to her.

The world's malice began the moment she appeared at Xin Xin Orphanage.

Finally, light has illuminated the darkness, giving Tangwan a sense of spring.

Just that little bit was enough to give Tang Wan the courage to keep living.

The production crew came over to take a look and found that Guo Yueze did not have any injuries, so they prepared to continue filming.

Before setting up the camera, Lu Lin's gaze fell on Su Jiajia, who was silently sitting in the corner, and then he spoke in a slightly cold voice: "Aren't you going to apologize?"

At the same time, the live stream was reopened, and viewers flocked to it.

Upon entering, they saw Lu Lin throwing a tantrum, and everyone remained silent, subconsciously holding their breath and not daring to type or speak.

This was the first time in Su Jiajia's life that Lu Lin had taken her seriously.

What should have been a long-awaited eye contact now looked like a death knell.

She bit her lip, her eyes slightly red, and large tears welled up in her eyes.

Then, she wiped the corner of her eye with the back of her fair hand and said to Guo Yueze in a choked voice, "Brother Yueyue, I'm sorry, I, I, I didn't mean to."

Although Guo Yueze was a little annoyed, he forgave her immediately when he saw the little brat crying so sadly.

He kindly picked up a tissue and carefully wiped away her tears, saying inarticulately, "It's okay."

Su Jiajia originally thought that was the end of it.

Unexpectedly, before she could even breathe a sigh of relief, Lu Lin's voice rang out again, this time tinged with displeasure: "Apologize to Guo Yueze? What about Tangtang?"

"Shouldn't you apologize to Tang Wan?"

As soon as he finished speaking, not only Su Jiajia was stunned, but Tang Wan was also stunned.

She stared blankly at her brother, who had protected her and stood up for her, and a strange emotion welled up inside her.

She reached out her hand, made a small fist, and then opened it.

The little face hidden under the hat was a little red.

Tang Wan didn't even want to blink.

The older brother is feeling indignant on his behalf!

He treats himself very well!

Su Jiajia was so frightened by Lu Lin that she finally couldn't hold back her tears.

Tears the size of beans streamed down her face.

However, Su Jiajia is not a real child, so she naturally knows which posture is most heartbreaking.

So she opened her eyes, letting the tears fall, looked at Tang Wan, and sobbed, "Yes, yes, I'm sorry, sob sob, I, I, didn't, did it on purpose..."

Even the comments section felt that Lu Lin had gone too far, arguing with a child.

[What I'm saying is, Lu Lin has a really bad temper, and he even yells at kids. Aside from being good-looking, having strong professional skills, and being from a wealthy family, I don't know what you guys like about him.]

[Emmm, well, thank you for the compliment, darling upstairs?]
