In the car at the front, a man wearing a black shirt stepped out.
Shen Bai regained some strength and pushed open the car door with one hand, rolling out of the car.
He saw the man glance at him before walking directly to the car door.
He raised his hand and slashed twice with his short knife, and all Shen Bai heard were screams of agony from the people inside the carriage.
The man turned around, took off the disposable gloves he was wearing, and walked up to Chen Bai.
The man was backlit, and Shen Bai could only make out his strong facial contours and three-dimensional features.
A deep, magnetic voice came through:
"It's alright, I'll take you home."
After saying that, he hugged Shen Bai in his arms.
Shen Bai leaned against the man's chest and was carried into the car.
The sound of a man's uneven heartbeat could be heard beside her ear.
"Drive faster."
Hearing the man's gloomy voice, Shen Bai could no longer hold on and lost consciousness.
*
Shen Bai opened his eyes and was greeted by a pure white ceiling.
He rubbed his head, feeling dizzy.
Where is he?
His clothes had been changed by someone; he was now wearing a pure white silk nightgown.
Chen Bai calmed himself down and looked around. The room was decorated in a gray and white color scheme, with a light gray sofa and a solid-colored carpet, which made people feel comfortable.
Chen Bai sat on the large bed, his gaze drawn to the photo frame on the bedside table.
The photo shows a beautiful but serious-looking child holding a cute, smiling baby in his arms.
Shen Bai tilted his head. Is this that person's child?
He remembered being saved by someone, a man who had a familiar scent.
But he couldn't remember where he had smelled it before.
Shen Bai slowly reached out, wanting to touch the photograph.
"You're awake?"
The man's deep voice startled him, and he quickly withdrew his hand.
Shen Bai turned to look at the person who had spoken.
Wearing a black shirt and gold-rimmed glasses, he exuded a mysterious aura.
Feeling the man's powerful pressure, Shen Bai unconsciously took a step back.
Then I realized that this person had just been talking to me.
Shen Bai quickly raised his hand and began to use sign language.
He wanted to say, "Thank you for saving me."
However, when Song Yun saw him using sign language, his brows furrowed tightly.
Upon seeing this, Shen Bai slowly stopped moving his hands.
He looked down, somewhat annoyed. His master said that people outside might not understand sign language, and if no one responded, they could type on their phones.
Oh, right, the cell phone.
Upon realizing this, Shen Bai immediately looked for his phone in the room.
But he couldn't even see where his little bundle was.
He then tried to gesture with Song Yun.
The moment I raised my hand, it was grabbed by a large hand.
Shen Bai shuddered. He tried his best to break free from the person, shaking his head as he tried to get the person to let go of him.
"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. Shall I take you to get something to eat first?"
Song Yun's voice was somewhat hoarse, and she subconsciously loosened her grip on Chen Bai's hand.
Shen Bai still wanted to break free from this man, but her senior brother said there were many bad people down the mountain.
He must have encountered bad people.
What should I do? Shen Bai was panicking, but he couldn't even find his phone.
We have no choice but to compromise first, to keep the people calm, and then find an opportunity to escape.
I thought of what my instructor had taught me in safety class.
Shen Bai could only nod and let Song Yun lead him downstairs.
Only then did he realize that it was a beautiful villa. The furnishings were simple, but you could tell at a glance that everything was priceless.
Shen Bai was led downstairs and then sat down at the dining table, watching the servants bring out all sorts of breakfast items.
"Gurgle gurgle..."
Chen Bai's stomach growled particularly loudly, sounding even louder in the quiet restaurant.
"Eat if you're hungry. I don't know if these will suit your taste."
A man's voice, tinged with amusement, came from behind him, and Shen Bai lowered his head even further.
How embarrassing! QAQ
His small face, no bigger than a palm, was as red and rosy as a ripe apple.
A bowl of sweet porridge was pushed in front of him. Afraid that his stomach would growl again, Shen Bai quickly picked up a small spoon and started eating.
He took a bite of the sweet porridge and couldn't help but lick his lips; it was very sweet.
Xiaobai likes it.
Unbeknownst to him, Song Yun, watching his actions, swallowed hard.
"You can try everything on the table."
Shen Bai looked up at him and felt that this person probably had ill intentions.
My senior said that bad people like to use delicious food to trick children.
But he can't run away now, so let's eat it.
My senior also said, "If you don't eat it, you're wasting your time."
Thinking it over, he tentatively reached out to take the bunny-shaped bun on the table, and even glanced at Song Yun.
Seeing that the other person did not show any impatience or anger, he took the steamed bun in front of him and ate it in small bites.
Delicious, delicious! The bunny-shaped steamed buns are so tasty!
Perhaps because he had eaten something delicious, Chen Bai started reaching for the food on the table to eat.
He found that everything the people here made was delicious. The crystal shrimp dumplings were incredibly tasty, and there were other things he couldn't name that were also delicious.
As Shen Bai ate, he realized he couldn't eat anymore.
But he was still holding a plump pig's trotter in his hand. He hesitated for a moment, thinking of putting it in his small bundle and taking it with him.
