Chapter 25 My Master is Rich

Suddenly, several men walked up to Shen Bai, looking down at him with strange smiles on their faces.

"Little beauty, why are you here all by yourself?"

Shen Bai didn't recognize them, glanced at them, and then lowered his head again.

"Want to try something from inside? This place is really expensive. How about this, you play with us, and I'll treat you to a meal inside?"

Hearing his tone and the way he kept looking at him, Shen Bai felt alarm bells ringing in his mind.

This looks a lot like the human trafficker Master was talking about; stay away from him.

He shook his head and turned to run away.

But he injured his knee and walked a little slowly.

Upon seeing this, one of the men quickly stepped forward and grabbed Shen Bai's arm.

"Trying to run? Not so easy!"

Another man went around to Shen Bai's back and blocked his way.

Shen Bai struggled desperately, but his strength was far inferior to that of the men.

Just as he was at a loss, a gentle voice entered his ears.

"Let him go!"

Shen Bai looked up and saw a handsome man in a white shirt walking towards them.

The man's eyes were cold and resolute, and he exuded an aura of awe.

The men released Shen Bai and looked at the new man warily.

"What are you doing? Robbing people in the street?" the man said coldly.

"Who are you? Mind your own business!" one of the men yelled.

"The surveillance equipment here is very comprehensive. What, do you want to go to the police station for tea?" the man said casually.

Upon hearing this, the men's expressions changed.

They had clearly forgotten about the surveillance cameras, but were unwilling to easily give up their "prey."

"Little beauty, you're lucky today. Let's go." After uttering this harsh remark, the men slunk away.

Shen Bai breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the man in front of her with gratitude.

He gestured in sign language: Thank you.

"You're welcome." The man frowned when he saw his gesture, but his voice remained indifferent.

"But why are you here all alone?"

Shen Bai hesitated for a moment, then pointed to his stomach.

The man glanced at the wound on Shen Bai's leg. "Come in, I'll treat you to something."

Shen Bai followed the man into the shop, where the man gave him some steamed buns and soup dumplings.

Shen Bai wolfed down his food; he was truly starving.

"Eat slowly, don't choke." The man looked at Chen Bai, a hint of tenderness flashing in his eyes.

After finishing his meal, Shen Bai mustered up the courage to ask his name in sign language.

However, the other party seemed confused, clearly not understanding the meaning of the sentence.

Shen Bai can only type on his phone.

"Jiang Chen," the man replied, realizing what was happening.

【My name is Shen Bai.】 Shen Bai smiled and typed on his phone again.

Thank you for your hospitality. I will definitely repay you in the future.

Jiang Chen nodded slightly: "You're welcome. However, don't run around alone again in the future."

After thinking for a moment, Jiang Chen asked again:

"Where are your family members? Do you want me to make a call to them?"

Upon hearing his question, Shen Bai instinctively thought of Song Yun's face.

He immediately shook his head.

I'm not going to go find that person; Song Yun will definitely break his legs.

Thinking of this, Shen Bai got up to leave.

Jiang Chen was still a little worried when he saw him like this.

This boy is clearly a troubled child; how could his family let him be alone out there?

After thinking about it, he called the driver and asked him to buy some medicine.

"Don't go yet, your leg is injured and needs to be treated."

Shen Bai also looked down at his knees.

He was wearing shorts when he went out last night, so you can see the injury on his knee right now.

Shen Bai just wants to go back to the Taoist temple, but he's already lost.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have been sitting in front of the restaurant for so long, and suddenly wondered if I could ask this person to take me home.

Thinking about it, he started typing on his phone.

'My home is in a Taoist temple, could you take me home?'

Thinking it over, Chen Bai wrote again:

'I'll definitely give you money when we get back; my master is rich.'

Jiang Chen frowned as he looked at the words he had typed.

"What kind of Taoist temple are you talking about?"

Shen Bai showed him the phone again:

'Qingyue Temple.'

Jiang Chen looked at the handsome young man and was surprised to find that he was cultivating in a Taoist temple.

He remembered that his uncle practiced Buddhism at Qingyue Temple, but he didn't know if he knew him or not.

Just as he was about to ask, an anxious male voice came in.

"Brother, are you hurt?"

Jiang Chen looked in the direction of the sound, shook his head, and softened his voice.

"No."

Ye Jin ran in and saw that Jiang Chen was alright, and seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

"It's good that you're alright. Then why did you make Xiaolin buy the medicine?"

Jiang Chen looked at Shen Bai sitting over there.

Ye Jin also looked over.

The boy's long hair was tied back with a headband, a few strands of hair fell by his ears, and his clothes were a little dirty, but he didn't look particularly disheveled. Instead, he looked strangely handsome.

Ye Jin lowered her eyes slightly, one hand gripping the hem of her clothes, lost in thought.

"It's because Xiaobai got injured that I asked Xiaolin to buy some medicine."

Jiang Chen spoke calmly as always.

Ye Jin frowned.

"Xiao Bai? When did you get such a good-looking friend, brother? How come I didn't know?"

"We just met. There are a few thugs here. Can you handle them?"
