Chapter 24 Numb.24 Licking

Chapter 24 Numb.24 Licking

Xu Wu was held tightly in his arms, unable to move. When she tried to avoid his touch by tilting her head, she actually gave him a more suitable angle.

With her other hand, she suddenly grabbed Jieying's collar, squeezing and crumpling the fabric in her hand.

He bit my earlobe, as if venting his anger, without holding back his strength. I knew without a doubt that it would leave teeth marks, some deep and some shallow.

The moment his warm lips touched her earlobe, Xu Wu almost went weak in the knees. His teeth gently nibbled and caressed her earlobe, subtly venting his dissatisfaction.

In the darkness, her senses were heightened; the sounds of their hot breaths overlapped intermittently, and Jie Ying's increasingly heavy panting fell on her ear. Xu Wu's heart tightened, and her hand, gripping Jie Ying's clothes, trembled as if it would loosen its hold—

Jieying grasped her wrist and guided her hand back to his chest, covering her heart.

Through the clothes and flesh, the heartbeat beneath his palm was exceptionally clear, one after another, strong and powerful, instantly clearing Xu Wu's mind.

She bit her lip, trying to pull her hand back, but Jieying held her firmly, preventing her from moving, so much so that she couldn't even muster any strength.

Immediately afterwards, Xu Wu felt a dampness on her earlobe.

She froze, her pupils trembling.

Jieying was licking her earlobe, more than once.

It was just the tip of its tongue, but it was cunning. It gently touched the spot where the bite mark had been made, and within two seconds, the earlobe, which had been moistened by saliva and exposed to the air, quickly became cold again.

When it's cold, lick it until it's warm; when it gets cold again, lick it again.

And so it goes, in a never-ending cycle.

"Jie, Jieying." Xu Wu felt suffocated. The seawater surging up like a tide made it difficult for her to breathe. She didn't even notice that her murmured voice was slightly choked and confused.

The next second, she felt Jie Ying's hand on her waist tighten, and she pressed herself even closer to him.

Xu Wu wanted to kick him away, but as soon as she raised her knee, Jie Ying released her wrist and placed it on her knee, gently but forcefully making her put her leg down.

Through his trousers, his hands touched her skin, and an intense, tingling itch climbed up her knees and down to her earlobes, which had been licked. The overwhelming pleasure almost devoured Xu Wu completely, leaving not a trace of bone, and made her scalp tingle.

Using the faint light that streamed in, Jie Ying looked down and easily scanned Xu Wu's facial expression.

Her eyes were misty, the corners of her eyes were red, and the two moles on her left cheek, one above the other, looked beautiful like tears. Her gaze was somewhat unfocused, and she looked incredibly pitiful.

Jie Ying's eyes darkened, and she replied in a hoarse voice, "Mm."

"Let go, let go." Xu Wu's voice trembled, completely unlike his usual demeanor as a person in a superior position, showing no intimidation whatsoever.

She was too weak and afraid that Jieying would suddenly let go, so she could only hold his clothes insecurely. What she said and what she did were completely different things.

Jie Ying clearly noticed it too, and chuckled softly, in a very pleasant mood. Then, he lowered his head again and nuzzled against Xu Wu's neck, letting the scent of freesia permeate his features and the strands of hair on her body.

"Fog, have you made up your mind?" he asked softly.

These words landed right on her pulse in her neck, spraying there with her breath, causing Xu Wu to shudder.

“…” Xu Wu gritted her teeth and glared at him: “Get lost.”

What do you mean by not having thought it through? It's just letting her smuggle in her own agenda.

A person like him... a person like him...

"Can you stand firmly in the fog?" Jie Ying looked down at her, but her hand on her waist showed no intention of letting go.

"......"

Suddenly, Xu Wu, with a burst of strength she didn't know she had, held her breath and shoved him hard across the chest with both hands.

Caught off guard, Jie Ying stumbled back a few steps. Before he could regain his balance, Xu Wu took a deep breath, walked over, and kicked him hard in the shin, cursing, "Disgusting!"

As she spoke, she raised her hand and rubbed the earlobe he had licked with the back of her hand in front of him, with great force. Under the glaring light, she looked down at him with a frown and made no attempt to hide her disgust.

Jie Ying squatted down, clutching his calf and letting out a muffled groan. He watched as Xu Wu turned away angrily without saying a word to stop him. He narrowed his eyes, his bangs obscuring his expression.

The moment the front door was opened, a key was thrown over, sliding forward a little with inertia and stopping at his feet. When he looked up again, Xu Wu had already closed the door.

The room returned to darkness. Jie Ying sat down on the floor and, thinking of Xu Wu's reddened eyes, absentmindedly licked her lips.

Her earlobes were slightly cool, but could be easily warmed up.

That was the apple that Satan tempted him to eat in the Garden of Eden. He knew the consequences, but he obeyed and left his mark on the apple.

.

Xu Wu got home just after 10:15. She stayed in the bathroom with the tap running, letting the sound of the running water fill the narrow space.

She looked up and stared at herself in the mirror. The stray hairs by her ears were wet with water, dripping from time to time, while her right ear was red from being rubbed, like a bleeding ruby.

It's dirty, really dirty.

Xu Wu scooped up another handful of water and poured it onto her earlobe, using all her strength, feeling extremely irritated.

What on earth is Jie Ying doing? Xu Wu was so angry she wanted to punch the mirror.

Once she had calmed down, Xu Wu leaned on either side of the sink, panting, her chest heaving as her oxygen-deprived brain regained oxygen.

Why not push it away?

Xu Wu pondered that it was because she lacked the strength.

Thinking of this, she unconsciously touched her earlobe in front of the mirror. It was red and hot from being rubbed, and the teeth marks were only a faint trace, which she guessed would disappear completely after a good night's sleep.

The sound of running water from the shower came from the bathroom.

Twenty minutes later, Xu Wu finished showering and came out. She quickly dried her hair, sat on the bed in the bedroom, and reached for her phone, which was charging on the bedside table. When she opened it, she found that a message had popped up ten minutes earlier.

This is the report card for the recent monthly exam at No. 1 Middle School.

The school does not issue paper grades; instead, all grades are sent directly to parents' mobile phones. The school does not post or publish them, but the names of the top ten students are posted on the honor board.

Xu Wu had used Fang Rumei's phone number when she was in her first year of high school. However, after she asked about her grades once, she found that Fang Rumei didn't care. So she stopped bothering her and went to her homeroom teacher to make up an excuse to change the number to her own.

The further down Xu Wu looked, the deeper her brows furrowed, and the worse her complexion became.

She scored lower this time than usual, with her total score dropping by almost fifty points, now only slightly over five hundred.

Mathematics was her weak subject, and she was quite unbalanced in her studies. To make matters worse, she didn't score well on English reading comprehension, which dragged down her overall score.

Xu Wu pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a wave of exhaustion. She knew, without a doubt, her homeroom teacher would call her to the office for a talk tomorrow.

As expected, she did not participate in the morning exercises during the second break the next day. After the homeroom teacher left her with the words "follow her," Xu Wu tactfully got up and followed her into the office.

There were only four or five teachers scattered around inside, two of whom were making tea and chatting, while the rest were sitting in their seats grading papers.

"Xu Wu, have you seen your grades?" the homeroom teacher asked her, sitting down.

Xu Wu nodded.

If she could, she wouldn't really want to receive it.

"You've regressed so much this time, don't you need to give me a reason?" the homeroom teacher pressed, frowning. "Look at the difference between your performance at the end of last semester and this time, isn't the gap a bit too big?"

Xu Wu remained silent.

The homeroom teacher continued, "Is there something you don't understand in class? Look at your math, you used to at least hover around the passing mark, but now you can't even get below 80."

Xu Wu's thoughts drifted a little, not because of the problems in class, but because she had clearly not been focusing on her studies lately.

If anyone's to blame... it's the person who's sick.

"I'm sorry," Xu Wu said, bowing her head in apology. "I'll get myself in a better state."

Upon hearing this, the homeroom teacher didn't say anything more, nodded, and changed the subject: "The class monitor gave me the list yesterday. Are your parents still not coming to the parent-teacher conference this semester?"

Xu Wu gave a soft "hmm," her heart not feeling particularly stirred.

This is the norm, and she didn't want to go to Fang Rumei's place and make a fool of herself.

"Where is your mother?" the homeroom teacher asked.

“She’s very busy,” Xu Wu replied.

"And what about your father?"

Xu Wu said, "He has passed away."

Seemingly surprised by the answer, the homeroom teacher was rather embarrassed. Looking at Xu Wu's calm expression, she didn't know what else to say. After giving Xu Wu a few more instructions, she sent her back to the classroom.

After Xu Wu left, the math teacher sitting opposite the homeroom teacher also heard the conversation and couldn't help but chime in, "Her mother is really carefree, not showing up for her daughter's parent-teacher conferences for two years."

The homeroom teacher could only shake his head helplessly.

On the other side, Xu Wu stood upstairs watching the densely packed running exercises on the playground. The music coming from the loudspeakers was extremely loud. She even spotted Fu Xi, who was slacking off and pretending to tie his shoelaces while pulling Zheng Liangwen aside.

Xu Wu's gaze shifted, intending to look for Jie Ying—

Found it, Xu Wu paused.

He jogged slowly behind the class line. Apart from the sports committee member leading the run and him, the rest of the team was scattered, with many people sitting outside the track, pretending to have stomach aches.

Xu Wu watched silently. Jie Ying's running posture was very standard, and she didn't seem to be exerting much effort.

After running seven or eight laps to the rhythm of the music, the school leaders on the podium finally took the microphone and announced the end of the event.

The crowd began to disperse densely towards the teaching building or the cafeteria, and Jie Ying waited until they had almost all left before following them.

Running made his body radiate heat, but there was very little sweat on his forehead, only his face was slightly red.

As he was about to turn the corner on the stairs, he suddenly stopped as if he had sensed something, turned around and looked up to meet Xu Wu's eyes, who was standing high up.

Looking down at him, a restless rage still lingered in his eyes.

Jie Ying's gaze fell on her earlobe—

Logically speaking, she shouldn't be able to see it, because Xu Wu usually wears her hair down.

But today she tucked her hair on the right side behind her ear.

Jie Ying's Adam's apple bobbed, and the teeth marks he had left behind disappeared.

Author's note: I've seen all the recommendations [cat emoji], I'm so touched!

I don't know what to say, so I'll just pretend to be tearful (wiping away tears).

I've posted a new pre-order synopsis for "Breathing Disk," which is still tentative, but the story remains the same. The old one has been renamed "Even a Fox Can Pretend Better Than You" [cat emoji].

The description of "Breathing Disk":

Yan Xi felt utterly disgusted by Shen Hui's superficial perfectionism; the man's eyes, hidden behind his glasses, were always gentle and polite.

Taking advantage of the fact that he wore a hearing aid, Yan Xi would always turn around and mutter a few curses at him in secret.

Until one party, she drank and fell into a deep sleep. When she woke up again, she was in an unfamiliar room, and Yan Xi had a splitting headache.

The bookshelf was filled with cassette tapes, all bearing her name.

Press play button —

Her breathing was even.

Rapid breathing.

even-

Have you heard enough?

His smiling voice came from behind me.

.

Yan Xi then realized this.

The seemingly muffled hearing aid is actually a heart rate monitor.

His glasses have a macro camera function.
