Chapter 76 Be Gentle (Additional Update for Master Qiuqiu)

It was exactly half past eight when Fu Zhi arrived at the Li family villa.

Secretary Liu was waiting for her outside the door early in the morning.

The Li family’s villa in City A covers a large area.

As soon as he entered the living room, Secretary Liu called out, "Boss Li, Miss Fu is here."

Fu Zhi followed his gaze.

Li Nanli was curled up on the sofa. Perhaps he had gotten up too early and didn't get enough sleep. He was covered with a blanket, his head slightly tilted, his peach blossom eyes half-closed, looking deep, dark and obscure.

The cuffs of his black shirt were neatly rolled up to his wrists, revealing his porcelain-white skin, and his slender fingertips were fiddling with a tender green leaf.

The warm light reflected from the window frame not far away cast a few shadows on him.

Hearing the voice, Li Nanli turned sideways, his beautiful peach blossom eyes slightly raised, and he said in a gentle voice: "Zhizhi."

Fu Zhi didn't respond to his words directly, and said naturally: "Xiao Li, I'm here to check your pulse."

Li Nanli: “…”

Li Nanli felt a lump in his throat.

The hall was silent for a few seconds.

After a long while, he pursed his lips, as if he had thought of something, and a hint of interest flashed across his eyes. Then, he restrained his smile, stood up, and said "hmm" nonchalantly.

Fu Zhi put away her Scottish Fold backpack and sat on the sofa, very close to Li Nanli. She reached out and placed her fingertips on his wrist.

She had just had a cold drink and the temperature of her fingers was lower than usual.

The cold fingers slid across the warm back of Li Nanli's hand, like a tiny needle piercing the heart.

Li Nanli groaned almost subconsciously.

The voice is a little hoarse, but with a magnetic quality, and the deliberately prolonged ending makes it sound ambiguous and affectionate.

That voice echoed in the empty hall.

Fu Zhi paused, looked up, and met the man's smiling peach blossom eyes, which were rippling with bright spring colors.

His Adam's apple rolled and he called her name softly, "Zhizhi."

Fu Zhi withdrew his hand and said seriously: "It's just taking the pulse, why are you shouting?"

Is this a scam?

She didn't hit him!

Li Nanli was stunned. He felt that the skin she touched was hot and scorching, and there was an indescribable numbness.

The man didn't respond.

The corners of his eyes were tinged with red, and his beautiful peach blossom eyes were filled with a shimmering mist. His gaze was fixed on the place where their skin touched, and his breathing was a little rapid.

Fu Zhi could feel the burning gaze without even looking up.

She frowned for a long while, then leaned back slightly and looked up at him: "Your heartbeat is very fast and your pulse is very disordered. I can't take your pulse. Are you feeling unwell?"

"Yeah, I feel uncomfortable." Li Nanli turned his head to look at Fu Zhi, his eyes fixed on her, and lied, "You pinched me just now and it hurt."

“…”

But she clearly didn't use any force.

Fu Zhi didn't quite understand and asked, "Does it really hurt?"

Li Nanli coughed again. He held back the heat in his throat, nodded, and said in a low voice: "Yes, it hurts, be gentle."

"But I have been very restrained."

His brows relaxed, he couldn't hide his smile, and he turned his head away deliberately.

Fu Zhi didn't notice it, and he really, very gently put his hand on his wrist.

The force was like a feather, carelessly brushing across Li Nanli's heart.

Li Nanli felt that his heartbeat was really out of control. The blue veins on the back of his fair hand were clearly visible. He tightly grasped the blanket with one hand, and the tips of his ears were red.

"Is it angina?" Fu Zhi stretched out her hand and placed it on Li Nanli's chest.

Haven't waited to meet him yet.

Li Nanli grabbed her wrist, his ears turned red as if bleeding, he opened his mouth, and a heart-wrenching cough followed.

Fu Zhi felt that his symptoms were not right, so he asked, "What's wrong with you?"

"No, it's okay." Li Nanli held back his cough and spoke word by word, "Just don't keep touching me in the name of healing."

“…”
