Chapter 7 Are They Still Going to Get Married? (1/2)

Looking at the pen, her heart sank quickly.

It seems I won’t be able to go back for a while.

Song Yiyi was somewhat annoyed. She didn't want to inherit someone else's life, nor did she want to stay in this era where she had nothing.

"Yiyi, Yiyi, are you up?"

There was a knock on the door, and Song Yiyi knew who it was without even thinking from the strange tone of voice.

She lay down and covered her head with the quilt.

Cen Bowen persevered outside the door and called out, "Yiyi, I brought you breakfast. I just brought it back from the cafeteria. It's still hot."

Although he knew that Song Yiyi couldn't see, Cen Bowen still waved the lunch box twice.

He was too high-profile. People coming and going in the courtyard would greet him when they passed by early in the morning.

"Good morning, Deputy Battalion Commander Cen."

"morning."

Cen Bowen smiled nonchalantly.

"Deputy Battalion Commander Cen, delivering food to your partner? What a man!"

An elderly lady made fun of it.

Cen Bowen didn't feel awkward at all and nodded, saying, "Yes, Aunt Wang, I'm off today and want to take Yiyi out for a walk."

The old building had no sound insulation, and even though she was covered with a quilt, every word Cen Bowen said was clearly heard by Song Yiyi.

She didn't want to pay attention, and couldn't sleep either, so she rolled up in the quilt and tossed and turned in a restless manner.

Soon, the sound of conversation was heard again.

"Bowen, are you waiting for Yiyi?"

Hearing this, Song Yiyi's radar instantly lit up and she sat up from the bed.

The conversation continues.

"Well, why are you here?"

Cen Bowen's voice suddenly lost its cheerfulness and sounded a little unhappy.

Song Yiyi jumped off the bed in a few seconds, lifted the curtains and looked out.

Sure enough, it was Kang Ying again.

"I came to see Yiyi, and I wanted to apologize to her in person for what happened yesterday."

Kang Ying was acting out of character today and didn't put her arm around Cen Bowen when she saw him.

The person who was wearing long pants and long sleeves yesterday is now wearing a skirt with a floral pattern and small leather shoes.

She raised her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, blushing slightly as she spoke softly, "I don't want her to misunderstand you."

Look at Xiadong from Song Yiyi's perspective.

She could see something red on Kang Ying's lips, which must be lipstick.

Cen Bowen was a little surprised. He looked at her carefully and said with a smile, "That's right. From now on, we will see each other every day. You and Yiyi will get along well and we will all be brothers."

He raised his hand and patted Kang Ying's shoulder. "Why are you dressed so frivolously today? Are you going on a blind date? Whose family is it this time? Do you want me to help you screen them?"

The smile on Kang Ying's face faded a little. Just as she was about to explain, the door in front of her creaked open.

Song Yiyi walked out in two or three steps, snatched the lunch box from Cen Bowen's hand, and said quickly: "Brother Bowen, you're here? Come on, come in and have breakfast with me."

She deliberately pulled Cen Bowen's sleeve and behaved intimately.

Cen Bowen was flattered, and a smile spread across his face: "Yes, yes."

The two of them walked into the house as if no one was around.

There was a square table in the room, and Song Yiyi pulled Cen Bowen to sit down at the table.

"Yiyi, Bowen said you like sweets. Here are the red bean buns I made myself. Come and try them."

Kang Ying came uninvited and sat down next to Cen Bowen.
