Cannot say

Cannot say

The next second, Su Jibai grasped Wen Yan's hand, and his burning body temperature made Wen Yan's heart race and her cheeks flush.

"I..." Su Jibai was about to speak when a piercing electric shock rang in his mind, his temples throbbed, and the world began to spin before his eyes.

I can't tell!

I can't say, I can't say...

The voice echoed in my mind, shattering the words I was about to say.

Wen Yan anxiously gripped his hand, "Su Jibai! What's wrong?"

A few minutes later, Su Jibai's vision gradually cleared, and he shook his head. "It's nothing, I just suddenly have a bit of a headache."

Realizing he was still holding the other person's hand tightly, Su Jibai quickly let go, his eyes filled with apology, "I'm sorry, I don't know how I just now..."

"It's nothing." Wen Yan looked at his hands, feeling a little empty inside. The warmth of his hands was still there, and he clenched his fists.

The two walked in silence for a while, and as they were about to reach the door, Su Jibai suddenly spoke up: "Are you and Lin Jiapeng very close now?"

"Yes, he's my boxing coach." Wen Yan said absentmindedly, kicking a pebble on the ground.

Su Jibai's gaze followed the pebble being kicked around on the ground. "I heard he transferred schools, apparently because of you."

Wen Yan was taken aback, and a pebble slid off his feet. "People at school are just talking nonsense."

The heavy punch landed with a dull thud on the sandbag, and Wen Yan, sweating profusely, threw punches faster and faster each time.

"Are you taking your anger out on the punching bag?" Lin Jiapeng walked over with a bottle of mineral water. "You've been practicing for so long, take a break."

The sounds of "bang bang" still echoed in the empty boxing room.

Seeing that he was still continuing, Lin Jiapeng advised, "You haven't trained for almost half a month. You trained too hard today. Your muscles will be sore tomorrow."

Wen Yan then stopped, took off his boxing gloves, and grabbed a towel hanging on the ropes to wipe his sweat. An opened bottle of mineral water was handed to him, which he took, sat down, and drank it down in large gulps.

Lin Chia-peng sat down in front of him. "Are you in a bad mood?"

Wen Yan knew her feelings were written all over her face, so she didn't deny it, her fingers unconsciously picking at the plastic packaging of the water bottle.

"Tell me about it, it'll make you feel better. Don't keep it bottled up inside," Lin Jiapeng said with a smile.

Su Jibai suddenly had a headache, which must be the system causing the problem, but he couldn't tell Lin Jiapeng.

Wen Yan sighed, "I've just been feeling a bit tired lately."

Lin Jiapeng sat down behind him. "Then I'll give you a massage to help you relax."

The soreness in her shoulders and neck was greatly relieved, and Wen Yan tilted her head back comfortably. "Your massage skills are pretty good. It seems that besides being a boxing coach, you can also be a technician."

Lin Jiapeng laughed out loud, "Ask the young master if he wants to consider renewing his subscription? Buying a boxing class comes with a free massage service."

"Okay, let's extend it for another three months!"

"If you're feeling generous, just transfer it to me directly. You don't need to tell my uncle."

Wen Yan laughed and said, "You're still greedy for this little bit of money?"

Lin Chia-peng: "Even a small mosquito is still meat."

Suddenly remembering what Su Jibai had said that afternoon, Wen Yan became quite curious, "Have you met me before?"

The massage frequency slowed down, and Lin Jiapeng's hands paused. "Yes, but you probably didn't see me."

"At Long Chen's birthday banquet?"

“Hmm.” Lin Jiapeng couldn’t help but laugh when he thought of the first time he met Wen Yan. “I was on the second floor when I saw you wearing a short skirt, jumping around. You were so cute.”

Seeing how embarrassed he was, Lin Jiapeng was already being kind by not mocking him, let alone transferring schools for him? It's truly laughable; people at school really know how to exaggerate.

Wen Yan's lips twitched. "It's incredibly embarrassing, isn't it?"

"It's really cute." Lin Jiapeng laughed so hard he was shaking. Afraid that Wen Yan would be angry, he sat up straight and coughed. "But why didn't you wear women's clothes again later?"

Wen Yan was speechless: "...Because I feel more comfortable in men's clothing."

Lin Jiapeng gave a regretful "oh," as he had heard from a friend that Wen Yan had always dressed in women's clothing, but he had only seen her once.

After taking a shower, Wen Yan rolled around on the bed a few times. He tried to close his eyes and sleep, but Su Jibai's gentle expression under the sunset and his calm face after his headache kept appearing in his mind.

It felt like countless needles were pricking his heart. Wen Yan stared blankly at the ceiling, his fingers constantly stroking the blanket.

His sudden headache was definitely not without reason, but if the system intervened, perhaps what Su Jibai was about to say to him would be out of character or affect the main plot development of the novel.

What exactly did Su Jibai want to say to him?

"Knock knock!" The knocking on the door interrupted his thoughts.

Wen Yan turned over and said, "Please come in."

Wen Ling pushed open the door and entered carrying a tray with two small dishes and a bowl of rice, all of which were Wen Yan's favorite dishes. Wen Yan had no appetite that evening and ate only a few bites before going upstairs, probably because the housekeeper had mentioned it to Wen Ling.

"Get up and eat something." Wen Ling was still wearing a suit and shirt, obviously having just returned from the company.

Wen Yan simply didn't have an appetite for the time being. He had expended a lot of energy during the day boxing, and if he didn't eat now, he would definitely wake up hungry in the middle of the night. But if he ate too much, he wouldn't be able to sleep. He got out of bed without hesitation.

"I'm in a bad mood," Wen Ling said firmly after staring at him for a few seconds.

Wen Yan ate a few mouthfuls of rice, but still had no appetite. He put down his chopsticks, turned his eyes to Wen Ling, and asked, "Brother, have you ever been in a relationship?"

"No."

"You're this age and you've never been in a relationship?" Wen Yan exclaimed in surprise.

Wen Ling laughed and flicked his forehead. "I used to be busy taking care of you, and now I'm busy taking care of the company. I don't have time."

The original owner used to cause trouble all the time, and Wen Ling would follow him around cleaning up his messes every day. Now that Wen Yan has behaved himself, Wen Ling is busy with work and wishes he could split a day in half, so he probably doesn't have time to find a partner.

“That’s true.” Wen Yan rubbed her temples.

"What, have you fallen for someone else?" Wen Ling suddenly blurted out.

Wen Yan said speechlessly, "We've never been in love, so what's this about falling in love with someone else?"

“You used to always pester me for news about Long Chen, and you'd beg me to take you to any Long family event. But lately you haven't mentioned Long Chen at all.” Wen Ling patted his head. “Have you fallen for Su Jibai?”

"No way!" Wen Yan turned her head away from his hand, her jaw involuntarily tightening.

Wen Ling couldn't help but chuckle, "Last time when the cruise ship had an accident, Su Jibai saved you, and I thought you had fallen for him."

"No, brother, don't talk nonsense." Wen Yan hurriedly interrupted, then picked up her chopsticks and started eating again.

"I'm just kidding," Wen Ling said with a smile as she stood up. "I'm leaving now, remember to finish your food."

"knew."

In his dream, he returned to that afternoon when the sun was setting and the sky was bathed in its golden light. Su Jibai's eyes sparkled, her gaze filled with affection as she looked directly at him and whispered, "You are my..."

Wen Yan woke up with a start, his forehead covered in cold sweat. He turned over, picked up his phone from the bedside table, opened the chat box, typed a few words, hesitated for a moment, and then deleted it.

What am I to you?

The agitation brought him back to his senses. Wen Yan turned down the air conditioner and hid under the covers, but he still felt a strange, inexplicable anger. He didn't fall asleep until almost dawn.

After Yan had been slumped over her desk, looking dejected for three days, Liu Xirou finally couldn't help but ask, "Yan, what's been bothering you lately?"

"Nothing, I'm just so bored." Wen Yan turned over, revealing the dark circles under her eyes, and kept drawing circles with her hand.

Liu Xirou: "Your dark circles are getting worse every day. Have you not been sleeping much these past few days?"

"I can't sleep," Wen Yan said dejectedly.

"That's strange, Ah Chen told me that Su hasn't been doing well lately either." Liu Xirou suddenly smiled, "You two are really..."

It seemed that Su Jibai was facing the same predicament as him. Wen Yan blinked and looked behind her. Su Jibai's expression was indeed not good.

Wen Yan slowly straightened up, rested her chin on her hand, and whispered, "Xi Rou, how...did you fall in love with A Chen?"

Liu Xirou's eyes softened even more. "Before summer vacation, I went to the library to borrow books. A cat suddenly ran in. The security guard couldn't catch it no matter what he did. The kitten ran up to the second floor. I happened to be there and wanted to help catch it. Unexpectedly, it jumped onto Achen's books and kicked Achen a few times while running away. But Achen took the opportunity to catch it and sent it back to the cat house."

"That's when I realized that he wasn't as cold as he seemed; on the contrary, he was very gentle and warm-hearted." Liu Xirou cupped her face in her hands, smiling broadly.

Wen Yan asked thoughtfully, "So that's why you developed feelings for him?"

“Hmm.” Liu Xirou continued to recall, “During the summer vacation, the school gymnasium was going to be renovated, so I wanted to become a member of the high-end gym next door, but unfortunately it was not open to the public, and the other gymnasiums were too far away, so I simply worked part-time there. The work there was very easy, and there were very few customers. After I finished picking up the balls, I could move around freely.”

"Not long after, I ran into Ah Chen, and to my surprise, he greeted me first..."

"Later, when he was injured and hospitalized, I brought him a book that he had also read. We even discussed the plot, and we surprisingly agreed on some of our views. After that, I often brought books to read with him, and that's how I gradually came to like him."

"Oh, I see... That's quite sweet," Wen Yan exclaimed.

Liu Xirou leaned closer to him, "Did you and Su have a fight? You two haven't spoken for days."

"No," Wen Yan shook her head.

Liu Xirou looked at him and then at Su Jibai, feeling utterly helpless. "The school is organizing an autumn outing the day after tomorrow. Our class plans to go to the Suer Manor in the suburbs..."

"I heard there's a super big swimming pool there, I really want to swim!" Liu Xirou laughed again, "Last time I was swept away by the waves and didn't get to swim much."

The gentle whispers of the waves seemed to be right beside his ear. His body relaxed as he was pulled into an embrace, the warmth of her body seeping through the thin fabric...

The small mirror on the table in front of her reflected Wen Yan's bright red earlobes. Startled, Wen Yan raised her hand to cover her ears and rubbed them, her heart pounding.

Seeing that he was silent with his head down, Liu Xirou thought he hadn't heard her and asked, "Ayan, did you hear that? We're going on an autumn outing."

"I heard you. I'm a little sleepy, I'm going to sleep for a while." Wen Yan kept in an awkward position, closed her eyes, but was not sleepy at all.

Liu Xirou felt embarrassed to say anything more after hearing what he said, so she opened the test paper and started doing the practice questions.
