Cruise Party

Cruise Party

"yeah!"

Lin Chia-peng smiled helplessly.

"Thanks to this boxing class, otherwise I wouldn't have had a chance to fight back." Wen Yan recalled the situation at the time. There were four people with knives. If it weren't for his boxing training and Liu Xirou's help, he would probably have been beaten half to death.

Lin Jiapeng frowned. "That was too dangerous. Luckily you're all alright."

Wen Yan was only melancholy for a short while before immersing herself back in the game, happily sliding the controller.

“However,” Lin Jiapeng looked at him, then changed the subject, “you’re protecting Liu Xirou so desperately, is she your girlfriend?”

Upon hearing this, Wen Yan was shocked and sat up abruptly from the bed. "How is that possible? She's Long Chen's girlfriend!" Even without the mission to protect the protagonist, and even though he and Liu Xirou weren't friends, Wen Yan would still step in to help anyone in need.

Lin Jiapeng said with great interest, "Didn't you like Long Chen before? So, you've protected your rival in love."

“I would have done the same thing if it were anyone else.” Wen Yan leaned back on the bed.

Lin Jiapeng asked, "You still like Long Chen?"

“Yes.” Wen Yan’s lips twitched. “How come everyone knows I like Long Chen?”

Lin Jiapeng's expression shifted unpredictably. "What happened before left a deep impression on us."

For example, she played "Wedding in My Dream" for Long Chen at her own birthday party, tripped up everyone who got close to Long Chen, and even though Long Chen refused her many times, she still frequently visited him under the guise of visiting elders.

These actions were enough to make Wen Yan a laughing stock in the circle, but because the Wen family was so powerful, they dared not openly make fun of her.

Wen Yan gave a dry laugh, hoping the topic would be dropped.

After a week's rest, it just so happens to be National Day, so Wenyan can have another week off, which is truly a double blessing.

The Lin family is preparing to host a three-day cruise party to celebrate Lin Chia-peng's return to the country. Wen-yen, who has been cooped up at home for a week, immediately said she would go to the party.

His injuries had almost healed, and Ling agreed.

Wen Yan happily went to pack her things: three days' worth of clothes, a power bank and charging cable, and even some snacks.

Looking at the large and small bags of things, the butler said embarrassedly, "Young Master, let me help you pack." He immediately started taking things out one by one, leaving only the clothes and charging cables, and adding a bathrobe and a towel.

"This is enough." The butler got up with satisfaction, preparing to take the suitcase downstairs.

Wen Yan couldn't go on a field trip like a middle school student carrying a schoolbag; he would definitely be laughed at. He silently looked at the things left outside and sighed.

He complained to Lin Jiapeng about this while playing games, his words dripping with resentment at not being able to bring snacks. After saying that, he tore open the snack packaging one by one, intending to eat them all that night.

Lin Chia-peng laughed heartily on the other side, asking Wen-yen to take a picture for him, promising to have someone deliver snacks to Wen-yen's room.

Wen Yan cheered, "He truly is my good brother!"

I don't want to be your brother.

Lin Jiapeng chuckled, "I live next door to you."

"We can play games together again!" Lin Jiapeng is skilled and always carries the team. Wen Yan is happy to play with him because when she duos with him, she can play some heroes that she has wanted to play but is afraid to.

"But you must be very busy, right?" Since it's a party for Lin Jiapeng, as the host, Lin Jiapeng can't avoid socializing.

Lin Chia-peng smiled and said, "It's just a few greetings, it won't interfere with our game time."

Thinking of the seafood feast, Wenyan was excited and couldn't wait to board the cruise ship.

The Pearl of the Night stands majestically in the harbor, its 300-meter-long hull boasting a beautiful and smooth silhouette. The teak deck gleams golden in the sunlight, while the pearl-white dome sparkles brilliantly.

Smiling waiters in tailcoats stood at the port guiding guests onto the ship, while the ship's attendants carried luggage to various rooms in an orderly fashion.

As I boarded the cruise ship, the sound of a band testing their instruments drifted from the deck. Following the sound, I leaned against the railing, gazing down at the azure sea, and quietly enjoyed the music.

Blue waves crashed against the cruise ship, the bursting spray shimmering with silver light, churning up snow-white foam, and disappearing into the turbulent sea.

The reception hall was spacious and luxurious, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly framed the sea view. The long table covered with an exquisite embroidered tablecloth was gradually filled with food. Wenyan took two macarons and went to her room.

The suitcase is placed in front of the bed. Some guests don't like strangers touching their things, so they will just leave the luggage in the guest's room and won't help the guest unpack and put the luggage away.

The tray on the bedside table was filled with Wen Yan's favorite snacks; he had eaten too much yesterday and was a little tired of them.

Wenyan opened her suitcase, put her clothes in the closet, put her bathrobe and towel in the bathroom, and lay on the bed for a while, feeling bored.

He pushed open the door and went out. There were two rooms next to him, one on each side. He knocked on the door of the room on the left and asked, "Lin Jiapeng, are you in there?"

The door slowly opened, and his smile froze. "How come it's you?" Wen Yan pushed Su Jibai aside, trying to find Lin Jiapeng's figure.

Su Jibai remained expressionless, moving left and right in sync with his movements.

"Wenyan, I'm here." Lin Jiapeng's head popped out from another room. He came out of the bathroom and heard Wenyan's voice, so he knew that Wenyan had come to find him.

Wen Yan pushed Su Jibai inside, smiled, and said, "There was a mistake. You should get some rest."

Su Jibai: "..."

Lin Chia-peng had a towel on his head and was wearing a bathrobe, clearly indicating that he had just taken a shower.

"Why did you arrange for Su Jibai to stay next to me?" Wen Yan was still a little embarrassed.

Lin Jiapeng paused, wiping his head. "Aren't you close to him?" Having been in China for half a month, he had learned about Wen Yan's interpersonal relationships from his classmates and the school forum.

Wen Yan and Liu Xirou have largely turned from enemies to friends, Wen Yan and Su Jibai have gone from having no communication to often being together, and Wen Yan's relationship with Long Chen is not as tense as before.

"I also arranged for Liu Xirou and Long Chen to stay next to me, is that alright?" Liu Xirou is Long Chen's girlfriend and gets along well with Wen Yan, so he casually sent her an invitation.

"It's nothing." He just felt that Su Jibai was a little strange. Usually, when Su Jibai saw him, he would greet him and exchange a few pleasantries. Just now, Su Jibai glanced at him a few times but didn't say anything, and his expression was indifferent.

After spending the afternoon playing games with Lin Jiapeng in his room, Wen Yan felt aches and pains in her back. She got up, stretched, and then slowly collapsed onto the sofa.

There was a knock on the door, and an old voice came from behind, "Young Master, the banquet is about to begin."

"Okay, Uncle Zhang, I'll be there soon." After finishing the game, Lin Jiapeng put away his phone.

Lin Jiapeng, as the protagonist, needed to arrive early, and Wen Yan also needed to go back to change clothes for the banquet, so the two parted ways in a hurry.
