“You’re not making the right fist. Your wrist should be slightly turned inward,” Zhong Qihui pointed to his wrist and then looked at his feet. “Left foot forward, right foot back.”

His gaze fell on Zhong Qihui's shoulder, and his expression became serious. "Don't shrug. Push your shoulder forward when you throw a punch, and clench your fist when you hit the sandbag."

After adjusting her posture, Wen Yan threw a few more punches. The sandbag made a dull thud, and Zhong Qihui smiled, "Not bad."

Wen Yan looked at her strangely, "Coach Zhong, are you really thirty years old?"

Both his voice and his face are like those of a young heartthrob.

Zhong Qihui lowered his voice, "Do you look like you're thirty now?"

With a deep, husky voice like a middle-aged man, Wen Yan laughed heartily, "This coach is so interesting."

"Lin Jiapeng! You brat!" A man wearing a black vest, with a buzz cut and a muscular build, came up cursing. He had heard their conversation from below. This kid actually dared to impersonate him. He was so handsome and strong, how could someone with such a small frame impersonate him!

Wen Yan: "..." This is the real Coach Zhong, isn't it?

Zhong Qihui's face contorted with rage as he reached out to kick him, but Lin Jiapeng grinned and hid behind Wen Yan. "Uncle, you're the one who's late. I took good care of the client; you should be thanking me."

At this point, Zhong Qihui stopped what he was doing, looking embarrassed. "I'm sorry, Mr. Wen, my phone suddenly broke down. I'm stuck in traffic and can't tell you."

Wen Yan waved her hand, "It's nothing, it's nothing. This clock... uh, Coach Lin is doing a great job. Can I have him as my coach?"

Although Lin Jiapeng seems carefree, he is very capable when it comes to teaching. Moreover, he is kind and young, which is why Wenyan likes easygoing people.

“He’s not a coach at all,” Zhong Qihui glared at him fiercely. “He’s my nephew, only seventeen years old.”

Lin Chia-peng remained all smiles, showing no embarrassment at being exposed.

No wonder she looks so young.

Zhong Qihui paused, "But he learned boxing from me since he was a child, so he's more than capable of teaching you, a beginner. It depends on whether you can accept it."

Lin Jiapeng's eyes lit up, and he winked at him, as if to tell him to accept it quickly.

Wen Yan didn't disappoint him either, "Of course I can accept it."

"Alright, you guys continue practicing. I won't disturb you any longer." Zhong Qihui nodded and walked away on his own.

Lin Chia-peng first had Wen-yen do a ten-minute warm-up, followed by five minutes of dynamic stretching and five minutes of jump rope. Wen-yen was sweating profusely and panting heavily.

"Oh dear, you look a bit weak," Lin Jiapeng said, looking at his pale face. "You should exercise more in the future."

Wen Yan had no way to refute him. He wrapped his hand with bandages and continued practicing the straight punches he had been taught.

Lin Chia-peng was a good teacher. He took a step-by-step approach and didn't rush to teach Wen-yen all the basic boxing techniques. Instead, he demonstrated one technique first and then let Wen-yen practice another.

After an afternoon of practice, Wenyan felt that she had become stronger, at least stronger than yesterday.

He looked terrible; he looked like he'd just taken a bath in sweat. His hands and legs were weak, and he lay on the fence like a limp animal. He could already picture himself limping and unable to even open a bottle cap tomorrow.

Lin Jiapeng went downstairs to get water and tossed a bottle to Wenyan, saying, "You've lasted this long, that's pretty good. Judging from how you looked at the beginning, I thought you could only last an hour at most."

"I was just barely holding on."

"Learning martial arts requires perseverance, keep it up!" Lin Jiapeng smiled at him. "I hope to see you again next week."

Wenyan's boxing lessons are scheduled for weekend afternoons, four hours at a time.

"I've paid the money, I'll definitely come." He couldn't bear to waste so much money. He was rich now, but his frugal nature hadn't changed.

Lin Jiapeng laughed even harder, "Rest for a while and then go take a shower. There are new clothes prepared for guests inside. I'll get them for you later."

After his sweating stopped, Wen Yan got up to take a shower. Before closing the door, he heard a muffled mutter: "It feels different than before."

Looking back, Lin Jiapeng was fiddling with the bandages in his hands, seemingly unconcerned. Had she misheard? Wen Yan continued walking inside.

As soon as the door closed, Lin Jiapeng revealed a sly smile.

Feeling refreshed after the shower, Wen Yan packed her things and went home. To make it easier to stay in touch, she added Lin Jiapeng on WeChat before leaving.

Wenyan also bought a punching bag and put it in her room, punching it for ten minutes every night.

The once thin and frail younger brother has suddenly fallen in love with boxing. Wenling thought he had been traumatized, so she kept asking him all sorts of questions, afraid that he would be bullied and keep quiet.

After Wenling's nth attempt to test her, Wenyan said helplessly, "Am I the kind of person who swallows my bitterness? If someone bullies me, I'll definitely beat them to death."

Wen Ling thought about it and realized that it made sense. Wen Yan used to retaliate immediately when he was wronged, and he would ask Wen Yan for help even if he couldn't handle it himself.

He left with peace of mind.

During morning self-study, Wen Yan was openly eating breakfast downstairs. He never had this kind of treatment when he was in high school; he would wolf down his breakfast on the way to school. Now, no one cared because almost everyone was eating.

Wen Yan used to eat breakfast on his way to school, but since he started boxing, his sleep needs have increased significantly. He doesn't get enough sleep every day and sleeps whenever he has time, so he has to move his breakfast time to morning self-study.

He brought sandwiches for breakfast, which didn't have much of a smell or noise, so it wouldn't disturb other students studying.

The homeroom teacher suddenly came in, and Wen Yan subconsciously hid his breakfast in his desk. Seeing the other students looking calm and collected, he took his breakfast out and continued eating.

A tall boy was standing at the door, but his face was obscured by the door frame.

The homeroom teacher said, "We have a male student who transferred back from abroad. The learning pace abroad is different from that in China, so everyone should help him as much as possible."

"Come in, Jiapeng."

Chia-Peng? That name sounds familiar, but Wen-Yan couldn't quite place where she'd heard it before.

When the transfer student came in, the whole class cheered and applauded because it was a handsome guy.

His handsome face immediately captured the hearts of most of the class. He smiled brightly and said, "Hello everyone, my name is Lin Jiapeng. Please take care of me." After writing his name on the blackboard, he went down and sat in the empty seat at the back.

When Lin Jiapeng walked over to Wen Yan, he winked at him and whispered, "We meet again."

Wen Yan stared blankly as he walked away. Oh right, he was only seventeen years old and should be in his second year of high school.

Mosa leaned closer and said, "Ayan, you're so familiar with Lin Jiapeng. At Long Chen's birthday party a couple of weeks ago, I saw that he was quite handsome and took a second look. I never expected it to be Lin Jiapeng. He hasn't been back to China for so many years, and he actually went back to study here."

Being able to attend Long Chen's birthday party, and having studied abroad since childhood, suggests that Lin Jiapeng is from a wealthy family. As the saying goes, "The rich don't fight," and Wen Yan truly hadn't expected Lin Jiapeng's family background to be so impressive.

"Uh, we exchanged a few words." Wen Yan didn't want others to know that Lin Jiapeng was his boxing coach, so as to avoid unnecessary gossip.

Mosa: "His sister Zhongyi is still studying abroad, and he actually came back on his own. It's really strange."

Zhong Yi is his older sister? Yes, Lin Jiapeng's uncle is Zhong Qihui. The siblings take their mother's surname and their father's surname, respectively.

Wen Yan glanced back at Lin Jiapeng, recalling Zhong Yi she had seen at the birthday party that day, and suddenly realized that their eyes and eyebrows were somewhat similar.

The phone lit up, and Lin Jiapeng sent him a message.

Lin Chia-peng: Why are you staring at me like that?

Wenyan: It's nothing.

Lin Chia-peng: Hehe, aren't you surprised? I recognized you at a glance, but you didn't remember me.

It seems that Lin Jiapeng and the original owner had some interaction when they were young.

Wenyan: You've changed so much, I didn't recognize you at first.

Lin Chia-peng: Have you become more handsome?

Wenyan: ...

On the other side, Long Chen sent a message to Su Jibai.

Long Chen: Your boyfriend is flirting with someone else.

Su Jibai: ? Where did I get a boyfriend?

Long Chen: Isn't Wen Yan your boyfriend?

Su Jibai: We are not together.

Long Chen: Hehe, you two were so enthusiastic before, I thought you were dating.

Su Jibai: ...

Su Jibai: When did you start paying so much attention to him?

Long Chen: Why would I pay attention to him? I just happened to glance at him while looking at my girlfriend.

Su Jibai glanced to his left and saw Wen Yan grinning and Lin Jiapeng smiling broadly; they were indeed exchanging glances.

After class, some students went to chat with Lin Jiapeng, asking him how studying abroad was and why he wanted to return to China to study. Wenyan was also quite curious and leaned back to listen quietly to what was happening.

"There are definitely fewer assignments abroad than in China, so it's easier."

"Actually, I came back to China because I wanted to find a partner."

"Wow." Their eyes gleamed with gossip. "Isn't the dating environment more open abroad? Do you have someone you like now that you're back in China?"

Lin Jiapeng didn't answer the next question. Instead, he chatted with them about his life abroad. He was witty and humorous, easily getting along with his classmates and instantly becoming the most popular person in the class.

"Wenyan," Lin Jiapeng suddenly walked up to him, "could you show me around the school at noon?"

The ghostly voice startled Wen Yan, but he pretended to be calm and asked, "Weren't you going to play basketball with them at noon?"

Lin Chia-peng smiled and said, "Are you listening to us? I said I made plans to go out with friends and will call again tomorrow."

“It’s hard not to hear you when you’re talking so loudly.” Wen Yan looked up at him. “And what do you mean by saying you made plans with your friends and I haven’t agreed to meet you yet?”

Lin Chia-peng: "You're such a nice person, you'll definitely say yes, right?"

After lunch, they stood at the cafeteria entrance and asked Yan, "Where would you like to go?"

Lin Jiapeng looked around blankly, "Let's just walk around and digest our food."

The campus is shaded by green trees, and many flowers are planted in the green belts. A gentle breeze blows, and the fragrance of flowers wafts through the air, making people feel relaxed and happy.

After passing the science building and the library, they arrived at the cat house. Throughout this time, Lin Jiapeng kept asking about him, and Wen Yan gave him a suspicious look, "Why are you so concerned about me?"

“You’re the first friend I made after returning to China, so of course I want to get to know you better,” Lin Jiapeng said without changing his expression.

The original owner was not familiar with Lin Jiapeng, and Wen Yan seemed to be deep in thought.

"What an adorable kitten!" Lin Jiapeng's eyes lit up, and he excitedly walked into the cat house.

He reached out and stroked the cats' backs, then tapped their chins, "Little kitties, meow meow meow."

Wen Yan was amused by him, and when she turned around, she found Su Jibai in the cat house as well.
