Jade and stone burned together
The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Liu Xirou remained silent for a long time, and everyone watched the man in front of them nervously, afraid that he would suddenly make a move.
“Xirou, come with me. I promise you, once we get to Y country, you’ll be studying at the top university. I can give you any kind of luxurious life I want. I will definitely make you happy.” Ji Weixuan took two steps forward, his gaze sincere. “I’ve also found jobs for your parents in Y country. They can continue their careers there.”
"Don't worry, I've prepared everything."
Liu Xirou shook her head and said firmly, "I still prefer living in China. Besides, I don't like you, so please don't make decisions for me without my consent."
Ji Weixuan's face gradually darkened, and he suddenly turned to look at Long Chen, "What can this kid give you? He can't protect himself, let alone you!"
“It has nothing to do with him.” Liu Xirou’s expression was firm, her gaze resolute. “This is my own opinion.”
Ji Weixuan chuckled a few times, then raised his face. "Xirou, why did you send your uncle and aunt on a trip abroad? Are you afraid someone will harm them?"
She had alerted the enemy, and Liu Xirou gritted her teeth, remaining silent in the face of his questioning.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you when we get to Y country." Ji Weixuan reached out his hand to her, his tone gradually becoming frantic. "Now, come with me, or none of them will leave this villa."
Mosa couldn't help but shout, "My dad is the director of the Public Security Bureau! If you dare to lay a hand on me, you won't even be able to leave S City, let alone the rest of the country!"
Ji Weixuan suddenly looked at her, his eyes terrifying and sharp as knives.
Mosa showed no fear, raising her head to meet his gaze.
Wenyan mentally called out to the system: "Can we use time reversal now?"
System: "Time travel can only go back to half an hour ago at most."
Wenyan: ...It takes half an hour to go up the mountain, so it's definitely too late now. Even if they drive down, they'll just happen to run into Ji Weixuan.
With Mosa's voice masked, Fei Qingyu leaned closer to Liu Xirou and said, "We'll hold them off for a bit, then you can run up to the attic and slide down the chimney."
Lin Pianyue secretly slipped the car keys into Liu Xirou's pocket. "My car is parked outside the cedar forest behind the villa. It's blue."
“We’ll run too, and cover Xirou from behind,” Wenyan said softly. “Don’t worry about us, they won’t dare to do anything to us.”
"Heh, they won't give way?" Ji Weixuan waved his hand. "Go up and grab them."
The bodyguard in black rushed towards the stairs. Lin Jiapeng was already prepared. The moment his fist swung, he half-squatted down, grabbed the bodyguard's waist with both arms, and threw him down the stairs in an instant.
Liu Xirou ran upstairs, followed closely by three girls, with Wen Yan providing cover behind them.
A man in black rushed over from the second-floor balcony, moving swiftly and nimbly, heading straight for Liu Xirou.
"You guys go first!" Wen Yan immediately pounced on him and started fighting.
She grabbed a vase and smashed it hard on his head, instantly drawing blood.
The bodyguard in black seemed to feel no pain; his movements were swift, and his right fist aimed straight for Wen Yan's forehead.
"How much did Ji Weixuan pay you? I'll pay you ten times that!" A fist grazed his face, causing Wen Yan a sharp pain. She began to distract him.
The bodyguard remained silent, dodging Wen Yan's heavy punch, and then swept his leg out at him.
Wen Yan easily dodged the kick by bracing herself on the stairs with both hands, and then kicked him straight in the face.
The man covered his face with his hands; his arms were as hard as iron, impossible to attack. When you kicked his hands, the impact numbed them.
"Damn it!" Wen Yan was about to use her superpowers. "System, activate pain immunity for me."
"Okay." The system's cold voice came through. "Activated. Enjoy using it, host."
"I'm not happy about these stupid missions!"
The bodyguard lunged forward, but Wen Yan dodged to the side and struck him squarely in the chin with her elbow. With a "crack," the bodyguard fell to the ground.
There was another commotion on the balcony, and two bodyguards in black moved nimbly and quickly climbed up.
Wen Yan clenched her fists, cursed under her breath, and stared intently at their movements.
The four of them climbed to the attic, and Sanno suddenly grabbed Liu Xirou, "Let's change our clothes."
They were similar in build and looked exactly alike from a distance.
"Okay." Liu Xirou knew that escaping would be the best outcome, so she quickly took off her clothes and put on Sanno's.
Mosa had climbed the roof ridge before, so she crossed it in no time. Lin Pianyue was brave and jumped over it with a determined heart. As a sports student, Fei Qingyu's jumping ability was beyond question.
In the courtyard, four bodyguards in black stood at the four corners of the villa, their sharp eyes searching for Liu Xirou's figure.
The four people crawled slowly along the eaves. Fei Qingyu took the lead, leaning over the chimney and peeking downstairs. A security guard was at the bottom of the chimney.
Fei Qingyu cursed, then turned around and said, "Sanno, when I slide down, you immediately stand up to attract their attention, and the rest of you follow me."
Sanno nodded: "Okay."
Fei Qingyu crawled into the chimney, let go of her hand, and her body quickly slid down the track.
Sanno immediately ran to the other side, stood up and shouted, "I'm here! You can't catch me! I'd rather jump down than go to Y Country with you!"
The four security guards looked over and saw a white figure standing on the roof in the cold wind, seemingly about to fall.
Fei Qingyu plummeted downwards, curling her legs up and using the bodyguard's momentary lapse in attention to kick him. She tackled the bodyguard to the grass, locked her legs around his throat, and with a sharp twist, sent him sprawling to the ground.
The other three bodyguards were unsure what to do. The leader of the bodyguards said, "Go and inform the boss, quickly!"
“Okay.” One bodyguard rushed into the room, while the other two stood below Sanno so they could catch her if she fell.
Inside, the living room was a complete mess, with all the furniture instantly reduced to shards. One bodyguard after another fell, and the wounds on the four men gradually multiplied, with blood trickling from the corners of their mouths.
Ji Weixuan sneered repeatedly, "Not bad." He took off his coat, and his fists flew like thunder as he attacked Long Chen.
Long Chen had injuries on his back, abdomen, and left leg. He could only dodge by turning to the side, but his leg made a cracking sound, and a sharp pain struck him. He collapsed to the ground in agony.
Ji Weixuan's fist slammed down, aiming straight for Long Chen's vitals. Long Chen couldn't dodge in time and was about to be hit.
Suddenly, the fist in front of him disappeared, and Ji Huaixuan began to struggle violently. Su Jibai tightened the rope around his neck and pulled it away with all his might.
A bodyguard in black suddenly burst in, saw Ji Weixuan suffocating with his eyes rolled back, and roared as he charged toward Su Jibai.
Lin Chia-peng and Ke Shu-yao worked together to knock down the last bodyguard and rushed forward to stop him.
Su Jibai didn't intend to kill him, so he wrapped the rope around his arm and tied it to the stair pillar with a tight knot.
When the two bodyguards outside saw that he had not returned for a long time, they sensed something was wrong and ran inside.
The four men were nearly exhausted, panting heavily. They exchanged a glance and retreated upstairs.
The bodyguard immediately stepped forward and used a knife to cut the ropes. Ji Weixuan stood up, his eyes filled with a sinister and terrifying look. "Where is Liu Xirou?"
"Outside."
Ji Weixuan thought they had captured Liu Xirou, so he stopped bothering with the other four people and left the villa.
His eyes searched for Liu Xirou's figure, but she was nowhere to be found. His cold gaze shot directly at the bodyguard, who shuddered and pointed to the rooftop.
Ji Weixuan took a closer look and realized it was clearly a fake!
"A bunch of good-for-nothings! They can't even find the right person!" He roared in anger, his eyes bloodshot, radiating a menacing aura that made people afraid to look him in the eye.
He glanced at the chimney and walked over quickly. He saw friction marks on the inside of the chimney wall and another bodyguard lying on the grass.
He understood immediately and said to the bodyguards behind him, "Drive over here and follow me!"
The four ran upstairs and happened to see Wen Yan fighting with two bodyguards. Wen Yan kept moving between the two men, nimbly dodging their attacks. Even when he was punched, he seemed not to feel the pain and continued to block their way.
Wen Yan retreated from the balcony to the corridor, drenched in cold sweat and panting heavily. Luckily, she had activated her pain immunity, otherwise she really wouldn't have been able to hold on.
The two security guards, their eyes deep, walked towards Wen Yan together.
"Again?" Wen Yan adjusted his breathing, preparing to face the enemy, when two different hands pulled him behind him. "You should rest first."
In the midst of the struggle, Su Jibai and Lin Jiapeng lured the two bodyguards to the stairwell, separated them as they attacked, and in an instant, two ropes flew out and locked their throats.
Long Chen and Ke Shuyao each restrained one bodyguard, while the other two slashed their carotid arteries with a chop to the neck. The two bodyguards closed their eyes and fell to the ground.
"Wow!" Wen Yan clapped as she walked over. "He's quite handsome."
Ke Shuyao tossed his hair, revealing his bruised and swollen face. "Thank you for the compliment."
Lin Jiapeng kicked the two bodyguards into a corner and laughed, "One against two, you're even more handsome."
Su Jibai stroked Wen Yan's face with a hand, his eyes showing concern. "You've worked hard."
A fierce wind howled through the cedar forest, rustling fallen leaves to the ground, leaving only jagged branches. A thick layer of withered branches and leaves piled up on the ground, making a crisp sound with each step the three of them took.
The faint sound of wheels could be heard, and the lights gradually brightened. Mosa, the weakest runner, was at the back of the pack. Breathing heavily, she glanced back. "They're catching up!"
Lin Pianyue made a quick decision, "Let's split up and run."
"Okay." Fei Qingyu put on Liu Xirou's coat to cover her body, and the four of them parted ways.
Liu Xirou ran in the direction Lin Pianyue pointed, until her throat felt like it was on fire and the smell of blood rose in her head, before the crystal blue car finally appeared in front of her.
Just as she fastened her seatbelt, a horn sounded from behind, and Ji Weixuan's voice rang out softly, "Xirou, you can't escape."
"Why..." Liu Xirou was exhausted, both physically and mentally. She hurriedly started the car, cold tears streaming down her face. She shouted angrily, "Why did you come after me!"
Ji Weixuan's low laughter drifted over, like the whisper of a devil, "Because I love you."
"Love? I don't need this kind of twisted love! I don't need your love either!" Liu Xirou shouted hoarsely, her throat slightly sore.
Ji Huaixuan caught up. So, what happened to Wen Yan and the others? Were they captured by those people?
He brought at least a dozen bodyguards. When Liu Xirou thought about how many people had been injured because of her, she felt nothing but self-blame, guilt, and a surge of hatred towards Ji Weixuan.
She might escape this time, but what about next time? Does she intend to let those close to her live in such fear?
Liu Xirou was utterly despondent and trembling all over. "Fine, since you love me so much, then die with me!" She turned the car around, adjusted the direction, and floored the accelerator.
Ji Weixuan was about to follow when Liu Xirou, as if she didn't care about her life, charged straight at him.
His pupils contracted sharply, and his brain seemed to freeze, forgetting to run away, and he faced her head-on.
