Chapter 176 What do you mean by saying that?

Xie Zhou was almost laughing in anger at this disciple's shamelessness. He had just not realized it before, but now he was sure he would understand.

She then retorted with a sneer, "What do you mean by that?"

He hadn't expected that even after making himself so obvious, the woman in front of him would still pretend to be stupid. His face instantly turned sharp and sarcastic, and the words he uttered were incredibly unpleasant.

"Miss Xie, it's probably not a good idea for you to keep the treasure to yourself. As the saying goes, 'whoever sees it gets a share.' With so many of us watching you, shouldn't you take it out and share it equally?"

The disciple stepped forward, staring intently at Xie Zhou, as if he would never let Xie Zhou off the hook if Xie Zhou disagreed.

"Hmph, what you're saying is quite interesting. Since we're on my master's territory, these treasures naturally belong to me. Do you expect to gain some benefit from them?"

Xie Zhou burst out laughing and rolled his eyes at him, making the disciple furious.

"I already said, everyone who sees it gets a share. It's not right for you to keep it for yourself like this."

The disciple was taken aback by her confident demeanor, and his face turned ashen. However, when he thought of the treasures in the woman's hands, he instantly regained his composure and told himself to stay calm.

"What do you mean by embezzling? Since it belongs to my master, it is naturally mine. You people are really greedy and dare to ask me for my things. You are not worthy of being human."

Xie Zhou took all the treasures without letting them see any of her own. She had no intention of giving these despicable people a kind look.

Seeing that his aggressive approach had only resulted in being ignored, the disciple became enraged and rushed forward to grab Xie Zhou, trying to force her to vomit everything up.

Seeing the figure rushing towards him, Xie Zhou immediately unleashed a burst of spiritual energy, knocking the disciple to the ground.

The disciple was knocked over by her, then staggered back a few steps, spitting out a mouthful of blood. He looked dizzy and unsteady on his feet.

Xie Zhou looked at the greedy disciple with a hint of contempt. Her eyes were devoid of warmth as she glanced around at the others who were still watching her. Their expressions became even more bizarre. Without hesitation, she spoke, "Truly overestimating yourself. Greed knows no bounds."

Her words seemed to provoke public outrage. In fact, everyone had been eyeing the treasures in her hands for a long time, but no one had said anything. Her arrogant attitude now was really making everyone angry.

"What do you mean? The rule in the cultivation world is that whoever sees it gets a share. Do you think you can take it just because it belongs to your master?"

Someone stepped forward, their eyes burning with rage that could scorch the entire place.

If eyes could cause harm, Xie Zhou would have been badly injured and scarred long ago.

Xie Zhou was not afraid of their intimidation at all. All those rules and regulations were nonsense to her. Whatever she said should be done, that was how it should be done.

This thing clearly belongs to her master, and she can't even get it herself. These people are just a bunch of rabble who came to play around, yet they actually dare to try to snatch the treasure from her hands. How dare they?

Xie Zhou grew angrier the more he thought about it, wishing he could take action right now and wipe out all these people in front of him to boost his own prestige and deflate their morale.

"Do you really think you can take my things? If you dare to take this from me, then come and challenge me. If you can beat me, I'll give it to you."

After carefully collecting all those items, she placed them perfectly into her storage bag, then glanced around at the remaining menacing and resentful people.

Xie Zhou made a stern statement and then prepared to leave.

But when she tried to leave, the others wouldn't let her go and rushed at her.

“Miss Xie, isn’t it a bit unfair of you to do something like this? After all, we’ve come all this way with you through thick and thin to get to this tomb, and we’re not here to be bossed around by you.”

One of the disciples stepped forward and blocked Xie Zhou's path as he tried to leave.

Xie Zhou knew these treasures were incredibly valuable, so valuable that they could cause all his relatives and friends to turn against him. But he never expected that these people would be so ruthless as to try to rob him outright.

It's one thing to blatantly rob someone, but to pretend you don't care at all—the treacherous face of a supposedly respectable family is utterly disgusting.

Xie Zhou was disgusted by them. Their faces, which had previously been righteous and claimed they only wanted to help, were now completely distorted. They would do anything for profit and possessions.

The things left behind by Master Xie Zhou do indeed look incredibly ordinary, as if they were just brushes, ink, calligraphy, and paintings that could be found anywhere in a study.

But all the people in front of them knew about it, so they didn't see it as an ordinary thing at all.

Even if her master only left behind some ordinary things, these people would still fight over them for profit.

Xie Zhou already knew what kind of people they were, but she didn't intend to get entangled with them. Now that they had delivered themselves right to her doorstep, she wouldn't hold back.

Xie Zhou took a step back, a sharp glint in her eyes, and her expression gradually turned even more unpleasant.

Everyone else moved closer to her, and the loudest among them were the disciples of Huangsha Sect.

The disciples of Huangsha Sect had already devised a secret plan to join forces with disciples from other sects to force Xie Zhou to divide these literary treasures equally.

"What if I say no?" Xie Zhou saw them all closing in on her and knew that this battle was unavoidable. Since they were so unethical, she wouldn't hold back either.

"Xie Zhou! Don't be ungrateful. We're not telling you this to persuade you. If you know what's good for you, you'd better hand over the stuff obediently, or don't blame us for being impolite."

The disciples of Huangsha Sect curled their lips into a sinister smile as they approached Xie Zhou step by step, playing with their spiritual energy. Their smiles were almost piercing the sky.
