Chapter 307 Attack

Xie Zhou simply waved his hand, leaving the spirit insect that had just transformed into human form outside.

After thinking for a moment, she said to him, "I'll go in by myself. If anything happens, I'll forcefully call for you, and you must take me away from there."

The spirit insect leaned closer, still a little worried, and asked, "What if there's not enough time to react?"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Besides, with my skills, what could possibly hurt me? This is just to be on the safe side. Listen to me, stay outside and wait for me to come back!"

"Director, how about we forget about it? Let's go back to the sect and discuss it with the other elders. If there's a way, we can come together. If all else fails, we can send more people."

The spirit insect gripped Xie Zhou's wrists tightly with both hands, unwilling to let go, afraid that if it did, it would be alone again.

The other person was clearly anxious. He turned his head and gently patted her soft head. "Spirit Insect, you need to know that the only person I can trust here is you. If something happens to you when you go in with me, how am I supposed to get out? So you are my last resort. I would never use you unless absolutely necessary."

The spirit insect was Xie Zhou's last resort. If there were any dangers inside, at least someone outside could easily bring him out.

It's not that they'll be trapped inside forever, but these kinds of problems keep happening one after another.

The spirit insect hesitated for a while before slowly releasing itself and grabbing the other's wrist.

Xie Zhou was saying that if he went in with her, or rather, if they left together, not only would the people inside be in danger, but they would also have no way out if something really went wrong.

It would be better to send someone outside; at least they can completely withdraw.

Xie Zhou slightly curled the corners of his mouth, chuckled, then turned around and leaped into the cave. As soon as he stepped inside, he suddenly felt a sense of oppression, as if something was pressing down on him.

Although I don't know exactly what's around me, it always feels very damp and dark, as if something that has been here for years is slowly crawling towards me.

right!

Xie Zhou was quite certain that those things seemed to have crawled over on the ground, moving very slowly but making quite a commotion.

Soon she clearly felt as if countless eyes were watching her from all around her.

It wasn't the feeling of being stared at; it was more like being glared at viciously, as if the slightest carelessness would drag them into the abyss.

Then, in just a moment, he clearly saw that the things slowly approaching him were actually a pile of headless corpses.

Their movements were initially very slow, but when they were still three steps away, they suddenly stood up and pounced on us with lightning speed.

Xie Zhou was startled by their sudden appearance, and his already fragile heart became even more uneasy.

These guys probably showed up from the beginning, which is why they reacted so quickly when I came in.

When Song Wu fell in just now, he was very likely attacked by them, so before the attack had subsided, he was lured back here by himself.

Xie Zhou held his breath, collected his energy, and leaped upwards to block their attack.

Rather than pounce, it was more like it swung its body and spread over.

These things have been living here for who knows how long, crawling aimlessly on the ground. Now, with the light coming in from outside, they are quite frightening.

Xie Zhou flipped backward and stepped directly onto the wall next to him, but suddenly felt that the touch was very soft, as if he had stepped on something.

Thinking back to what I had just seen, I couldn't help but feel a chill. Soon after, I felt my ankles get wet, as if something had wrapped around them.

They moved very quickly, as if these things were everywhere, and they were gathering in greater and greater numbers, rushing over one after another.

Xie Zhou couldn't imagine how many of these terrifying things were surrounding him, so he quickly called for the spirit insects that were outside.

Upon receiving the signal, the other party immediately initiated a flight through the air and began sending out symbols.

Xie Zhou leaped with all his might, freeing himself from the thing holding his ankle, and jumped into the characters, disappearing into the cave entrance.

The spirit insect immediately rushed forward to check and found that the other's ankle had been wrapped in something at some point, and it was covered with some kind of slime from the dark area.

Xie Zhou suppressed the nausea rising in his chest and began to sweep away the sticky liquid with leaves from the ground beside him.

She couldn't tell if it was blood or saliva anymore...

"Master, what exactly did you see inside? How did you end up in such a sorry state?"

The spirit insect simply couldn't believe that its master, who was always exceptionally strong, could be so easily reduced to this state.

"I encountered a bunch of headless corpses inside. They kept attacking me, and every time I stepped on something, it felt like I was stepping on something. I didn't have time to react, so I quickly sent you a message, which is why I was able to escape."

Suddenly, the spirit insect understood something and immediately took out a pill from its pocket and put it into Xie Zhou's mouth so that she would swallow it.

"Master, you must be careful at all times. Nothing here is very safe. It's best to be cautious."

She nodded in agreement, knowing that she should never enter such an unknown cave lightly. If it weren't for the spirit insect here today, she probably would have had to expend a lot of effort.

"However, I didn't see Song Wu when I went in. Judging from the speed at which those things attacked me, he must have left not long ago. Those things didn't even have time to reset before I lured them away."

If even he can become like this, then what about Song Wu?

They had no idea where they were now. The two of them just stared at each other and couldn't help but sigh.

Xie Zhou calmed down for a moment, stood up from the ground, and was about to enter the cave again when the spirit insect behind her grabbed her, took out another wooden box from its bosom, took out a large pill from inside, and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Keep it in your mouth, and don't bite it unless absolutely necessary. It might save your life in a critical moment."

Xie Zhou couldn't help but feel fortunate that he had brought such a capable assistant with him; otherwise, things would have been quite troublesome.

Afterwards, they went back into the cave to search for Song Wu's whereabouts. After finally getting around that group of annoying guys, they came to a slightly dark place and saw Song Wu standing there unharmed.
