Chapter 36 The Show Begins (Part 2)

"You're just a mere child. Not only are you weak, but in every aspect, can you compare to any disciple who has trained in our Sword Sect?"

"For the Celestial Venerable to accept a disciple, you must pass the test of the eight elders. If you cannot pass our test, you will only have the title in name only, and no one will truly recognize you!"

"Ignorant brat, spouting nonsense! I can't stand your personality!"

The elders glared and cursed at Xie Zhou.

"Do you accept apprentices?"

Xie Zhou sneered and asked coldly.

"I'm asking you if it was you who accepted the disciples! It wasn't you who accepted the disciples, it was my master who accepted them, so what right do you have to point fingers here!"

Xie Zhou felt a surge of anger rising within him.

"System, help me absorb the energy of the magic stone. I'm going to teach these old guys a lesson soon!"

Xie Zhou began to take it seriously; these old men were really going too far.

"Okay, no problem. Don't forget to give me the 100-point reward!"

This system is greedy; I never expected that asking it to do a small favor would cost me 100 points.

"Alright, 100 it is. Stop talking nonsense and hurry up. I'm going to chat with them for a bit more now!"

Xie Zhou agreed without hesitation.

"Although it wasn't us who accepted the disciple, the fact that a Celestial Venerable accepted a disciple represents the reputation of our Sword Sect! Taking you out like this is utterly disgraceful to our Sword Sect!"

The Grand Elder's face turned a deep liver color from Xie Zhou's anger.

"Do you understand? This is absolutely impossible!"

"Immortal Venerable, look at your disciple! He has no respect for his elders. Can you still keep such a junior?"

Now, instead of criticizing Xie Zhou's strength, the group started criticizing his character.

No one could stand this situation.

"You lot look down on me, don't you? Fine, then how about you have a go at me!"

Xie Zhou's imposing manner startled Ling Feng, who was propping his head up beside him.

"This little thing's got some skills; it even knows how to hide its strength?"

Lingfeng's lips curled up slightly, a scene witnessed by several of his fairies.

"Look, look! The Immortal Venerable has laughed again! He's laughed twice in one day, and both times it's because of this woman!"

"My God, it's true! The Immortal Venerable really smiled!"

The fairies nearby started whispering to each other again.

...

"Compare with us? Hahahaha, you're absolutely hilarious!"

"Ignorant brat, don't think you can be so lawless just because you have the Sword Master's protection. You want to compete? Fine, pick one of us and see who you want to compete with! Don't say we're bullying you!"

Upon hearing Xie Zhou's words, all the elders showed expressions of disdain.

"Yes, that's it. You can choose any of the eight people here. We can even tell you their cultivation levels directly. The eldest is the strongest, and the eighth is slightly weaker. You choose, but don't say we're bullying the younger generation later!"

The elders burst out laughing.

"No need! However, I have one condition!"

Xie Zhou extended one index finger and shook it.

"Whatever your conditions, just say them. Fighting a kid like you who hasn't even grown his hair yet, I wouldn't mind giving you two hands or even one leg, let alone two hands."

The elders laughed again.

"You are only allowed to use pure energy attacks against me, and you are not allowed to use your swordsmanship. Is this request too much to ask?"

Xie Zhou's eyes narrowed; these old guys really didn't take him seriously at all.

"Alright, no problem, we'll agree to your request. If you have any other requests, just say so. There's nothing we wouldn't dare to agree to!"

The elders continued speaking.

"Apart from this, there are no other requirements. That's settled then. All of you, come at me together!"

Xie Zhou was eager to get started and was ready.

"System, that's enough. There's enough energy in my body. No more, or I'll give myself away!"

Xie Zhou yelled at the system.

"Alright, alright, I'll stop it right now." With that, the system really stopped helping Xie Zhou absorb the illusion stones.

"All of us attack together? This kid, are you kidding me?!"

"Exactly, this request is really excessive. What will people outside say about us if something happens to this kid!"

The elders began to back down again.

"Excellent, this is a good opportunity to test my disciple's resilience. Not bad at all."

Lingfeng, however, immediately started clapping.

"How about this, let's gather everyone from the Sword Sect together and watch you spar?"

But then Lingfeng made another suggestion.

"In this way, before the sparring, Xie Zhou can say that no matter what happens, the elders will not be responsible, and she will take full responsibility. With thousands of disciples of the Sword Sect watching, the elders can rest assured."

"That is indeed a good method, but we need to see if your precious apprentice agrees first."

The Grand Elder, being a cunning old man, directly passed the question to Xie Zhou.

In this way, if Xie Zhou doesn't agree, he'll be suspected of trying to frame the elders; if he does agree, the elders can kill Xie Zhou on the arena without taking any responsibility.

"I promise, hurry up, don't dawdle and waste time, it's best to come right away, anyway, it's still early."

The elder, who had hoped to discourage Xie Zhou, immediately changed his expression. He hadn't expected that his words would not only fail to make Xie Zhou give up, but would also ignite Xie Zhou's fighting spirit.

Xie Zhou actually urged them on right in front of them.

"Alright, that's great! I'd like to see just how capable you are, little thing!"

The First Elder snorted coldly and led the group of elders behind him out.

Just you wait!

Xie Zhou glared at the elders and made a face.

"Just don't be too embarrassed to admit defeat when the time comes!"

Xie Zhou had already forgotten that Ling Feng was standing next to him, and directly uttered provocative words.

"Um?"

Lingfeng snorted coldly, which extinguished Xie Zhou's anger.

"Master...Master...that..."

Xie Zhou was very timid and submissive in front of his master, even when faced with the elders' powerful attacks!

"Prepare well. In the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, let the fairy bring you to the arena."

Lingfeng, however, was clearly out issuing a notice or announcement.

"Hey! I don't need to prepare, I'll just go directly there, Master! I'll go with you!"

Xie Zhou quickly caught up with Ling Fengque's pace.

"Master, you didn't even ask me if I was confident about this match. What if..."

"Shut up!"
