Chapter 25 The Dispute Over the Residence (1/2)

Yu Mingxiang frowned, "Are you a drunkard?"

She had heard the old village chief mention the owner of this courtyard; his nickname was "Drunkard."

I didn't realize that this lecher was not only a lecher, but also an alcoholic.

Gu Guanhai's face darkened.

"no!"

He quickly replied, "My surname is Gu, Gu Guanhai."

Yu Mingxiang wasn't interested in what the person's name was; what she cared about was the courtyard.

She said in a deep voice, "This is my yard! I just bought it!"

"What a coincidence, this is also my yard."

Gu Guanhai raised an eyebrow and looked at her with a smile, "I just bought it too."

Yu Mingxiang: "!!!"

She glared at him angrily, wanting to kill him with a knife.

The two quickly came to a standoff, and the truth soon came to light.

Gu Guanhai was not lying.

This courtyard was indeed an unused courtyard belonging to the drunkard, and he did ask the old village chief for help in finding a buyer. However, Yu Mingxiang bought the courtyard from the old village chief, while Gu Guanhai, as a native of the village, bought the courtyard directly from the drunkard.

Although it is a case of selling the same item twice, it is not a true case of selling the same item twice.

This is equivalent to the parents not coordinating their relationship and arranging for their daughter to marry into two different families.

Having understood the whole story, Yu Mingxiang looked at the spacious courtyard and gritted her teeth, "Go find that drunkard and get your money back. This courtyard is mine!"

"On what grounds?"

Gu Guanhai crossed his arms and looked at her with interest. "This is also a courtyard that I properly bought. I also paid money to write a deed."

As he spoke, Gu Guanhai subtly glanced behind Yu Mingxiang.

Behind her stood three young people. The young man and woman supporting each other were clearly a couple. He recognized the other young man from afar in the black market; he must be her son.

Most of the people who went to the black market to buy things from him were men, but this woman, who had dealt with him several times, was always alone, except for her son who accompanied her once.

Is she a dead man?

Gu Guanhai secretly speculated, unsure.

Yu Mingxiang really liked this courtyard house and didn't want to miss it.

"Aren't you a native of this village? What kind of courtyard do you want to buy?"

She glared at him, her face full of anger, and said, "Besides, your business is so big, you don't seem to be short of money. If you really can't make ends meet, why don't you just build another courtyard? Why do you have to compete with us?"

Building a yard takes time, doesn't it?

Gu Guanhai shrugged upon hearing this and said, "My mother kicked me out of the house, and I'm homeless right now."

Yu Mingxiang: "!!!"

Is it something to be proud of to be kicked out of the house by your mother? This man has the nerve to bring it up?

Neither of them wanted to give up the yard, and they couldn't reach an agreement, so in the end they had to go to the brigade headquarters to reason with each other.

Before leaving, Yu Mingxiang stopped the three children who wanted to follow.

"You can just wait here."

She looked at her daughter-in-law with concern and said, "Xiaoru is quite far along in her pregnancy and must be exhausted from the journey. You two stay here with her and rest for a while. I'll come back as soon as I've finished this."

Seeing that Gu Guanhai did not stop them, the three children obediently stayed.

After the two left.

Xue Ru and her husband exchanged worried glances and asked, "Will Mom be alright?"

Qin Weiguo was also worried about his mother and didn't know how to answer her.

Qin Xiangdong shook his head upon hearing this.

"Nothing should happen."

He rested his chin on his hand and pondered, "I think I saw that man with my mother at the black market in Beijing. Besides, the old village chief and the others are in the village. They won't make things difficult for us educated youth who went to the countryside."

The couple breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

After a long journey, Xue Ru was indeed a bit tired. Qin Weiguo originally wanted to go with her to the brigade headquarters, but seeing his wife holding her waist and looking exhausted, he had no choice but to give up and help her find a stool to sit down.

While the three of them were resting in the courtyard, the brigade headquarters was quite lively.
