Chapter 367 Weekend

"Then you can consider this. You can design different materials, thin ones, thick ones, and different sizes. If you have any ideas, you can start by thinking about the design of plastic bags. You can't just seal the left and right sides. It would be best to design a handle, and it would be best to have a bottom so that the capacity is large."

Zhang Qiang fell into deep thought. Zhang Hongmei looked at the other three people and said, "You can also consider what you are familiar with. It doesn't necessarily have to be different from others. Being practical is the best approach."

Zhang Hongmei felt that the discussion was ineffective and was a little disappointed, but this was normal. Planting seeds now might just lead to something that takes root and sprouts later.

Because I need to drink soup every day, I stopped going to Shuren Hutong. I went to the school mailbox, put the letter for Huang Ying in there, and then went home.

After washing up, Zhang Hongmei sat in the living room and said, "Aunt Wang, if you're bored, you and Aunt Li can go for a walk."

"Hehe, I like quiet. Are we making clothes for you?"

What clothes?

"Summer dresses."

"I'd rather not. Most of the girls at school wear pants, and I don't wear skirts either. I don't want to attract attention."

"Then wear it at home."

"Okay, it's comfortable to wear loose clothing at home."

"You can't think like that. Girls can't be lazy. They can't have any thoughts of being sloppy."

"Hehe, I've learned something."

"Don't take it lightly. Women should always pay attention to their appearance. They can't be sloppy and careless. I'll correct your little flaws in the future."

Zhang Hongmei was secretly distressed. She was used to being carefree and undisciplined, but now she would have to be restrained.

Friday arrived, and I was supposed to go to the compound tonight. I really didn't want to go, but I had already promised and couldn't break my promise.

As soon as I stepped out of the school gate after school, I saw an eye-catching car. Couldn't they have been less conspicuous?

Zhang Hongmei pushed her cart and moved with the crowd to the car. The window rolled down, and there was Zhang Shouyi inside.

Uncle Li came over from the side and took the bicycle from Zhang Hongmei's hands.

"Hongmei, come up here, I'll take you out to play."

Zhang Hongmei was startled and hurriedly looked around, attracting a lot of attention. However, it seemed that no one recognized Zhang Shouyi. She opened the door, got into the car, rolled up the window, and did it all in one smooth motion.

Zhang Shouyi smiled as he watched her actions.

"Brother Zhang, you're scaring me. From now on, just wait for me at home."

"Fine, I won't come next time. I'll come out to pick you up, and you're still complaining."

"Of course I would dislike it. If you were recognized, it would be both troublesome and dangerous."

"Okay, okay, I won't do it again next time." Zhang Shouyi rubbed Zhang Hongmei's head.

Zhang Hongmei slapped Zhang Shouyi's hand away, "Ugh, are you petting your pet?"

"Hongmei, shall we go to the beach?"

"Am I dreaming? You can get out of here? Give me a break, don't try to fool me."

“Really, I’m going to the retirement home to see an old veteran. We can spend two days at the beach.”

"Hehe, okay, you go ahead with your work, I can play by myself, it won't bother you."

"So considerate? Don't worry, I'll have time to play with you."

Zhang Hongmei thought to herself, "What can you do with me? It's much more comfortable to be alone." However, the joy of being able to go out and have fun outweighed her reluctance.

Are you going home again?

"Yes, I want to. It'll be a two-day trip. I need to prepare some supplies. Even though I can't go into the sea, I can collect seashells on the beach."

When Zhang Hongmei returned home, she packed two sets of clothes but took nothing else; this was just a cover.

Looking at Zhang Hongmei, who was as cheerful as a little swallow, Zhang Shouyi wondered if he had neglected her too much in the past.

I'd like to take her out every week, but that seems unrealistic. There are pros and cons to it all. I really need to keep a close eye on her; I don't have much time, and if she runs away, there'll be no going back.

We finally decided to set off at 8 p.m. and arrive at 5 a.m. the next day, just in time to watch the sunrise over the sea.

Aunt Li had already prepared dinner: dumplings with wild vegetable and pork filling. They tasted quite delicious, but Zhang Hongmei didn't dare eat too much, afraid that the bumpy ride would make her uncomfortable.

Zhang Shouyi put a dumpling in Zhang Hongmei's bowl and said, "Eat more."

"No, I'll have to stay in the car all night, it's too uncomfortable."

“My car should be more shockproof than other cars. If you don’t want to eat, that’s fine. I’ve brought you some snacks and your favorite sesame seed cakes. You can eat them in the car if you get hungry.”

After finishing their meal, they strolled around the yard for a while, took a shower, and then got into the car and set off.

"Hongmei, you can sleep with your head on my lap."

"I'm not sleepy yet. I see your eyes are a little red. You didn't sleep last night, did you? How about I go to the front and you lie down in the back to sleep?"

"No, I'm not tired. If you're not sleepy, let's chat."

"I'm just worried you'll get tired. It's really not good for you to always be like this. You should see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor to see what you need to pay attention to."

"We'll look for it when we get back. We'll look at it together. You can keep an eye out for the important points and remind me later."

“Okay. I want to buy more seafood this time when I go to the beach, and I can also mail it back to the elders in the village.”

"Okay, I'll go with you no matter what you want to do."

"Brother Zhang, why are you being so kind to me? I'm a little scared."

"Afraid? What are you afraid of? Your entire fortune is in my hands, and my entire fortune is in yours. What's there to be afraid of?"

This reason didn't make sense, but Zhang Hongmei didn't know how to explain it either, so she simply stopped racking her brains and decided to take it one step at a time.

"Brother Zhang, do you think it's possible to mail something to Uncle Zhang?"

"That's not very realistic; it's not safe there."

"Honestly, we eat well at home and live a comfortable life, but we let the elderly go on dangerous trips?" Zhang Hongmei grumbled.

The two were sitting close together, so Zhang Shouyi naturally heard everything. Although the woman was subtly criticizing him, he wasn't unhappy at all. His father hadn't spoiled her for nothing.

"Brother Zhang, is it okay for Xiao Li to drive alone?"

"No problem, don't worry, it's safe. Aren't you tired? I'm a little sleepy, I'll lean against you and take a nap."

"I'll go ahead."

"No need, it'll be done in a moment."

Zhang Hongmei could hear Zhang Shouyi's steady breathing as he leaned on her shoulder, and soon she fell asleep as well.

Zhang Shouyi opened his eyes. He grinned at the carefree little girl sleeping soundly, adjusted himself, lay down on her lap, wrapped one arm around her waist, and closed his eyes to sleep again.

Zhang Hongmei was awakened by the heat. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in Zhang Shouyi's arms. Honestly, she felt stiff all over and it would have been more comfortable to sit in front of him.

He slowly sat up, wanting to open the car window, but then worried that Zhang Shouyi might be sick. He thought to himself, "Never mind, he'll be fine in a little while."

I checked the time in the dim light; it was already 3 a.m. We should be arriving soon. This car was indeed more comfortable, at least it wasn't as bumpy.
