When Zhao Tiancheng got home from school, he was home. “I arranged everything for the workers yesterday, so don’t worry. But they don’t have a place to live yet, so I contacted the construction team. Both houses can be completed this Saturday. The remaining warehouses and the like can be built after the land is cleared. After all, it’s good to settle them down first.”
"Uncle Zhao, thank you for your hard work."
"Hehe, why are you being so polite? Don't worry, you go ahead and get busy, I'll take care of things here. To be honest, I actually think I would be a qualified housekeeper."
Zhang Hongmei chuckled after hearing Zhao Tiancheng's words.
With Zhao Tiancheng's help, Zhang Hongmei was spared a lot of trouble.
The research team's office is all set up, and all the researchers will be there this Wednesday. I'll need to give them a brief introduction.
Life is incredibly fulfilling now, with one thing after another, and I always feel like there's not enough time.
On Wednesday evening, Zhang Hongmei met with ten people. They were all young and seemed quite arrogant, but Zhang Hongmei ignored them. Only by letting them know that she was far superior to them would she truly win their respect.
"Does anyone know the code? Please raise your hand."
Everyone looked at Zhang Hongmei and raised their hands.
"That's great. Now that everyone understands, we can start designing. Each of you will have a copy of my game development steps. Once you've learned them, design your own game that you like. The latest you can do this is Monday evening. I hope everyone will submit their work."
Also, the ten of you don't have to come every day, but you must come on Mondays and Tuesdays every week. We'll discuss and decide on things on those two days.
Another point is that although you don't have to come every day, you are receiving a salary, and my requirement is that you can create at home, but you can't be without a job.
I don't know if you understand what I'm saying?
They all nodded in agreement. This kind of job is great, it's so free!
"Now go and choose your own positions. And I want to emphasize again, there can be no plagiarism. You are all proud and knowledgeable people. Competition is fine, but what I cannot tolerate is malicious slander, excluding others, and plagiarism."
Upon hearing this, the ten people had all sorts of thoughts. This request was highly advantageous to everyone; no one wanted their hard work to be stolen.
Since they were all new computers, it didn't matter where they sat. So the ten people didn't have any disagreements about where they were seated.
Zhang Hongmei felt that two people should be selected as group leaders. Without rules, there can be no order, so a set of rules and regulations had to be drafted.
By the time Zhang Hongmei had sorted everything out, it was Friday evening. Two people were indeed absent, but Zhang Hongmei didn't mind. As long as you have work to show, you can be anywhere. There really isn't a strict rule about this.
Annie was with Zhang Hongmei here. "Mom, I feel like none of them are working seriously!"
"Oh? How did you figure that out?"
"Look, they're all staring blankly at their computers, and some are even playing games."
"Hehe, don't just look at the surface. Mom doesn't know their results yet, but it's not too late to draw conclusions after seeing the results."
Annie seemed to understand, but not quite. "We'll eat in a bit, and then we'll come back to see what they've accomplished."
This group hasn't been assigned a cafeteria yet, so everyone has to find their own way to eat.
Zhang Hongmei and Annie returned half an hour later. Only half the people were there. Since they had requested to see the results on Monday night, they hadn't paid much attention to this. Zhang Hongmei simply took Annie's hand and walked around behind them. Of the five people, only one was actually working; the rest showed blank screens.
It would be a lie to say I wasn't disappointed, but we can't expect too much from them either.
You are free to leave here. There's no time limit, so after a short while, two more people said goodbye to Zhang Hongmei and left.
Zhang Hongmei coaxed Annie upstairs to play games, while she sat down at the empty computer and started typing rapidly.
Before long, the remaining three people gathered around, watching Zhang Hongmei type away at the code without stopping, the characters on the screen constantly increasing.
Half an hour later, Zhang Hongmei pressed Enter one last time.
Then they started operating the game. It was just a simple brick-stacking game, but the three people were completely captivated by what they saw.
Everyone was recalling Zhang Hongmei's actions. They realized that this could be done in this way, and what else needed to be added to that area.
Zhang Hongmei checked the time; it was already eight o'clock. "Gentlemen, it's time to go home. Our latest closing time is eight o'clock. If you need anything, you can come anytime during the day."
The three of them then came to their senses. In their minds, Zhang Hongmei's image had become incredibly lofty. They all left, still dazed.
Annie came downstairs. "Mom, we should go home now."
"Yes, let's go. We can leave once Mom turns off the power."
Back home, I picked up the phone and dialed Wyatt's number. "This is Zhang Hongmei. Come over Monday night, let's see what these people have accomplished these past few days."
Okay, I'll tell Carlos myself. Also, I'd like you to arrange for someone to manage this. Yes, I have no experience managing these things.
Zhao Hao was sitting to the side watching TV with Annie, so he heard Zhang Hongmei's speech. When he saw her put down the microphone, he asked, "What's wrong? Is it not going well?"
"Maybe there's something wrong with my arrangements. Why can't I see their performance? We should hire professional managers so that Aunt Chen doesn't have to be responsible for opening and closing the doors every day."
"Mom, shall we go to the movies tomorrow?"
"Sure, but we have to go in the afternoon. Mom is going to visit the farm and ranch in the morning."
"Go ahead and do your thing. I'm taking Annie out for a day trip tomorrow and won't be back until then."
"Is Annie okay?"
"Of course! I love playing with Uncle Zhao the most. Don't worry, Mom."
Zhang Hongmei felt she had shirked responsibility, and that someone was even helping to take care of the child; Zhao Haozheng was quite patient.
Two busy days passed, with Annie playing wildly outside with Zhao Hao. This gave Zhang Hongmei time to arrange everything at the farm and ranch.
On Monday evening, at six o'clock, Carlos and Wyatt arrived. They ate dumplings at home before the three of them went next door.
As soon as they arrived at the entrance, a middle-aged woman got out of a car parked next to them.
“Hongmei, this is the manager I invited, Celine Glad, madam. She will be living here from now on.”
The two shook hands. The group then entered together.
