"Such a big order?"
"Yes, the president called personally to inform us."
"Oh, good that Wyatt knows. Get to work quickly and set aside five people specifically for testing; there can't be any problems."
Okay. I understand.
Dinner was porridge, and pancakes were also prepared for the men. Zhang Hongmei's eating habits are becoming increasingly bland; she has no interest in meat at all. At one point, we even thought she was sick, but with the blessing of the spiritual spring water, it's hard for her to get sick.
Zhang Hongmei guessed that it might be because of the space and the relationship with Tai Chi that she was going to become a vegetarian. Was she going to become a vegetarian rabbit?
It's been a long time since I've read a book, so I'm going to read through all the textbooks today and do some pre-reading.
The next morning, Zeng Zhongkang drove Zhang Hongmei to the farm, intending to visit Cao Binggang and the others, and also to slaughter a sheep at the ranch.
“Let’s go to the ranch first. You stay here, and I’ll go and get rid of these two hot potatoes.”
"I'll go with you!"
"No need, it's inconvenient that way."
"It's too dangerous for you to be alone."
Zhang Hongmei remained silent. Zeng Zhongkang was truly at a loss.
Upon arriving at the ranch, Zeng Zhongkang got out of the car. Zhang Hongmei switched to the driver's seat and drove away.
I just wanted to take a stroll in the direction of the beach. This direction is actually the opposite of what I expected. Luckily, I had time today, so I could take my time.
There was actually nothing in the box. I wasn't worried about anyone stealing it.
It took them an hour and a half to drive back. By the time they arrived at the ranch, it was already afternoon. Zeng Zhongkang figured Zhang Hongmei wouldn't be back until before noon, so he didn't slaughter the sheep early, but told the ranch manager to wait until after lunch.
When Zhang Hongmei arrived, the blood and fluids from her body had already drained. She was loaded onto the vehicle and taken to the farm.
"Hongmei, how's it going?"
"Hmm, it's alright, we should arrive back home soon. Don't worry."
Cao Binggang and his companion were quite happy to see Zhang Hongmei and the others arrive.
"Zhang Hongmei, look, this is the hybrid corn we cultivated, about one acre in size. Let's see the results in the fall, shall we?"
"You guys are so fast?"
"Right now, it's just ordinary corn. We'll come over and help with pollination when it starts to tassel."
"So that's how it is. I thought you had succeeded."
"It can't be that fast. These seeds are from the McKen family's experimental field. We got some seeds with their permission, and these are corn seeds from the farm."
"Hehe, I don't understand this at all. I thought it was like fruit trees that needed grafting."
"This is also an experiment for us. If it works, the yield should be much higher."
"Hehe, as long as you try your best, even if you don't succeed, having a research direction is still good."
"Yes, but I think there should be a dedicated seed farm. Seeds need to be updated and replaced frequently."
"Are you two coming back with us?"
"No, we'll stay here. We'll have to trouble you to pick us up the day before school starts."
"Okay." Zhang Hongmei saw the car approaching. Zeng Zhongkang was going to distribute the mutton to the farm. In the end, only two lamb legs were left.
The two arrived home after 3 p.m. Zhang Hongmei took a shower and changed her clothes before coming downstairs to play with Ningning.
"Aunt Wang, I'm taking Ningning to McDonald's tomorrow."
"Alright, go ahead. That brat's itching to be used outside. He's too wild."
"Aunt Wang, is Ningning almost able to walk? Look how steadily he stands!"
"He's standing there, which is good. It's just that he doesn't dare to take a step. This guy is quite timid."
Zhang Hongmei laughed, "Most children are like that. My little nephew is the same way; he can even take a few steps while holding onto the windowsill. It's probably because he doesn't feel safe."
Zhang Hongmei took a few steps back. She squatted down and said, "Ningning, come find your sister!"
Little Wang Zining was also hesitant about whether to go over. Looking around, she realized there was no one to help her, so she had no choice but to hold onto the coffee table and slowly move towards Zhang Hongmei.
There was still some distance to go, so the little guy simply crawled over. He laughed as he crawled.
Zhang Hongmei picked him up and tapped his little nose. "You little rascal. How can you be so smart? I wanted you to walk, okay? You're almost nine months old. You really are adaptable and quick-witted."
Wang Xinyi was already laughing heartily. "Hongmei, he's always like this. If you want him to do something, he always finds the simplest way."
"Aunt Wang, how did you find out?"
"At first, I wanted him to crawl, so I asked him for toys. In the end, he got impatient and just threw the toys at me."
She's been like this ever since she started learning to walk. She's just too lazy.
The phone rang. Wang Xinyi answered it—"It's Hongmei Lauren Frain on the phone."
"Hello!
Okay, I understand. Thank you for your hard work.
"What's wrong?"
"The money used in yesterday's auction has already been transferred to the McCann family."
"Hongmei, Kong Yushun and the others should be coming over tonight, right?" Wang Xinyi changed the subject, as she didn't want to know the answer to that question.
"I don't know? Miao Xinyue and the others said it yesterday?"
"You brought back mutton, I thought they were coming back."
"Oh, Wyatt is coming over tomorrow morning. Besides, this leg of lamb is for our whole family."
Sometimes people really can't help but talk about things; as soon as Wyatt was mentioned, the phone rang.
"Hongmei, I'm going over tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to country Y with a film company for promotional activities."
"Sure, everything's ready. You can come tonight. What would you like to eat?"
"Anything is fine, but cumin lamb would be a good choice."
"No problem. Will you be there at six o'clock tonight?"
"It's almost seven o'clock. The service company will come to report this afternoon."
"Okay, I got it." Zhang Hongmei quickly hung up the phone, otherwise she would have complained again.
Because Zhang Hongmei was on the phone, she neglected Ningning. The little guy, trying to get Zhang Hongmei's attention, kept squirming on her lap. His mother couldn't even take him.
"Alright, alright, stop fooling around. How about I take you outside to play? Let's go to the yard?"
Aunt Wang, Ningning can understand everything now, right? Look at him. I told him to go play in the yard, and he got so happy.”
"He's too wild; he doesn't want to stay indoors for even a moment."
The two pushed Ningning around the yard twice, and the little guy pointed at the door and kept making "ah ah ah" noises.
Finally, having no other option, the three of them had to leave the courtyard.
Walking down the street, we didn't see many people, and the little guy got upset, constantly fidgeting in the car.
"Wang Zining, if you continue like this, let's go home."
The little guy behaved himself now, but he looked rather aggrieved.
"Aunt Wang, are you preparing to be a strict mother?" Zhang Hongmei found it quite amusing.
