Chapter 792 Ladies' Club

“Godmother, Anne, I have to go back. I still need to prepare some materials, at least to design that house.”

“Hongmei, please finish your meal before you leave. It’s just the two of us at home; they’re not coming back. Also, let’s think of a name for the club.”

Zhang Hongmei glanced at the clock in the living room and nodded. "I haven't thought of a name yet, you can think of one."

"Annie, could you go get Mommy some paper and pencils?"

Anne nodded and went upstairs.

"Godmother, what name do you think would be good?"

Huang Meihua shook her head, "You should start this."

Zhang Hongmei took the hot tea handed to her by the maid. "Godmother, what do you think of the socialite club?"

"A socialite? A famous woman?"

"Is it alright? I think it's better if the store name is easy to understand at a glance. What do you think?"

"Okay, I think it's pretty good too."

Annie brought down everything Zhang Hongmei needed. Zhang Hongmei leaned over the coffee table, thinking about the layout of the house, but she felt that it wouldn't achieve her ideal effect. She thought that if she did a major renovation, it would cost more than building a new house.

“Godmother, I’ve thought about it, and this house really isn’t ideal. I’ll go back and visit the service company; we’ll buy land and build something new.”

"Isn't the construction taking too long?"

Zhang Hongmei put down her pen and said, "Yes, it won't be completed in less than two years."

"How about we buy a house?"

"But the cost of renovating a house can be very high. Should I call a service company and ask first?"

Zhang Hongmei picked up the phone and dialed the number, informing them of her needs.

There were indeed several properties registered on the case: ten acres of land in the city center, a three-story building with fewer than a hundred rooms, located on Wall Street, and a five-story building there as well. Zhang Hongmei noted them down.

"I want all three places. I'll have Zhao Haozheng go there tomorrow."

"Yes," the person in charge replied respectfully immediately.

"Hongmei, what do you need all those buildings for? You wanted to build office buildings, but then you ran out of funds and it all fell through, especially that big one on Wall Street. It's been almost two years, and I heard the workers haven't even been paid their wages." Huang Meihua knew that Zhang Hongmei was buying land. One building would have been enough, why buy so many?

“Godmother, these things are likely to appreciate in value in the future. The money is just sitting there anyway. I’m thinking of going to Chinatown to buy some.”

"Hongmei, the house I gave you is on Fifth Avenue, haven't you gone to see it yet?"

Zhang Hongmei shook her head, indicating that she really hadn't noticed.

"Godmother, is Fifth Avenue a residential area?"

"It could be a business opportunity too! Let's go check it out after we finish eating. You're so ambitious!"

Zhang Hongmei could say that she initially intended to leave everything for Annie. So, she didn't notice? Obviously, she couldn't say that.

It seems I don't need to convert everything to cash. This year's dividends probably won't be enough to buy these three properties. I still have two million in the ring, hopefully that will be enough.

“Hongmei, that house is three stories with a yard. You have the property certificate and the keys. The houses on both sides are the same as ours.”

"Godmother, shall we go take a look this afternoon? Or shall the three of us go back for dinner?"

"Grandma, shall we go eat Aunt Chen's cooking?"

"Okay, I'll go change my clothes and bring a gift for Ningning."

Zhang Hongmei called home. The two cars set off together. Zhao Tiancheng and his son knew Huang Meihua was coming over for dinner, so they stayed home and waited.

After Zhang Hongmei got home, she handed the paper with the record to Zhao Haozheng. "Tomorrow, you and Lauren Frain will pool all the money you have and buy this piece of land and both buildings. Also, remember to notify the service company that they will notify you first whenever there is land or houses for sale in the city center."

Zhao Hao glanced at what Zhang Hongmei had written and didn't raise any objections. "I understand. Then it doesn't have to be all cash?"

"Hmm. If that's not enough, I have two million more."

"It probably won't work. Didn't you ask about the price?"

"No, I only had that thought afterward."

"Okay, I understand. I'll go over there this afternoon and figure everything out first."

"Come with me to Fifth Avenue this afternoon to look at houses. I have one there."

"Alright."

Zhao Tiancheng sat to one side and said, "Hongmei, if you don't have enough money, I have another 500,000 here."

"Hehe, let me know if it's not enough."

Sigh! There's still not enough money. If we want to get things done, we'll find ourselves stretched thin.

Suddenly it occurred to me that the group company could be located on Wall Street. With that thought, I called Wyatt.

"I thought I'd have to ask my assistant to call you. I didn't expect such a busy person to have time to answer the phone?"

"Zhang Hongmei, you're so unfair! I'm so busy because you always shirk your responsibilities!"

"I've got my eye on a five-story building on Wall Street. How about we make it our group's headquarters?"

“I know where it is, and the price they're asking for isn't low. We're already working on it here, so we're not going to change it.”

"Then I'll stay?"

"What use are you?"

"Buy it, renovate it, and rent it out."

"The group bought it?"

"I'll do it myself. I don't see you're very interested in that."

"Yes, I plan to use the group's money to auction off land."

"I don't understand this. You and Carlos can discuss it. As long as you two agree, I have no objections. Alright, busy man, go ahead and get busy."

"Okay, but make sure Zhao Haozheng answers the phone."

"Here's your phone!" He handed it directly to Zhao Haozheng, who was drinking tea.

"Okay, I understand. Can I go there the day after tomorrow morning?"

"Okay, I understand." Zhao Hao hung up the phone after saying that.

"The CEO told me to submit the clubhouse plan the day after tomorrow."

"Why don't you write at home this afternoon?"

Zhao Hao immediately looked at Zhang Hongmei in a fawning manner, "Let me see your plan. I'm just using it as a reference. I don't even know what a club is. Please."

"It's all about eating, drinking, and having fun! Think about it yourself!"

"Good red plum, just let me see it. I absolutely won't plagiarize, I just want to take a look."

Zhang Hongmei had no choice but to take out the project plan and give it to him.

"Hehe, I'll go with you to look at houses this afternoon, and we'll even take a look at some houses on Wall Street."

"Alright, it would be even better if we could finalize it this afternoon!"

“I know they’re all in a hurry to sell. If you can pay tomorrow, the paperwork can be done tomorrow.”

“Yes, I heard from Wyatt that the workers’ wages for that five-story building haven’t been settled yet, so it’s best to call the service company and have them investigate so that there won’t be any trouble later.”

Zhao Hao picked up the phone and called the service company, instructing them to investigate. This was a flaw; in the future, when acting as an agent, investigations must be conducted to avoid unnecessary trouble. This must be brought up in the meeting.
