Ten minutes later, the two entered the living room.
"Annie, would you like to go to my study and take a look?"
The little girl shook her head. "Sister, I don't like the study. When Dad is busy, I have to stay in the study with him."
"Okay, let's not go, but I have no experience playing with children, so I don't know what you all like. Could you tell me what you want to play?"
"Sister, I don't know either."
"So what does Annie usually do?"
"Watching TV, Tom and Jerry, and Bugs Bunny."
That's all?
"And another thing is to read books with my dad in the study."
“Annie is so amazing. So young and so sensible. Now, let me tell you, what do you want to play today? If I can do it, I'll definitely take you with me.”
"Is it really possible?"

Zhang Hongmei nodded when she saw the little girl's longing eyes. "Sure."
Then he looked up at Carlos McKenzie and said, "Sir, if you're busy, I can take Annie out to play by myself."
"Haha, even if I'm busy, one more day won't make a difference. Thank you for being so considerate of the child's feelings. Well then, let's go."
"Okay, I'll go back and tell my family. Annie, you go to the car and wait for your sister to come back."
When Zhang Hongmei returned, she found Zhao Tiancheng and told him she wanted to go out and have fun.
"Red Plum, why?"
"Why what?"
“You don’t know them at all. This is the first time we’ve met. I’m not comfortable with you going out with them like this. Let Zhongkang accompany you. I’ve never met them before either.”
Zhang Hongmei thought about it and realized she had been a bit too impulsive, but since she had promised the girl, she didn't want to go back on her word, so she decided to go.
When Annie saw Zeng Zhongkang who had come with her, she went up to Zhang Hongmei and asked, "Sister, is this uncle going too?"
Zhang Hongmei didn't want to lie. "Yes, just like your father was worried about you going out with me, my brother was also worried about me going out, so he came along too."

"Yes, I also brought some food. Ask me for it if you get hungry later."

Dad, can we live next to my sister's house? I want to eat at my sister's house every day; it's so delicious.

"Of course, I sincerely invite you and your daughter to my home for dinner tonight. But I need to call home in a little while to let them know we have guests tonight."

Carlos McCann drove, glancing at his daughter with affection. "We can have dinner at someone else's house tonight, but we can't stay here. Your grandparents won't agree. Your grandma can cook for them too, you know?"
After hearing this, Annie lowered her head dejectedly. "That's different. Grandma is too busy. She needs to drink tea, water the flowers, listen to the radio, and read books. She doesn't have time to spend with me."
"Hehe. You can ask Grandma for something. Only if you tell her will she know what you need?"
Annie kept her head down and didn't say anything, so Zhang Hongmei took her hand.
The little girl glanced at Zhang Hongmei furtively and said, "Sister, I'm leaving tomorrow. Can I come see you next week?"
"Of course! We can talk on the phone, really. If you miss me, call me at night. I have to go to school, so I can only answer your calls at night."
"That's the only way." He sighed after saying that.
Zhang Hongmei laughed heartily at Annie's mature and sighing expression.
"Annie, my little angel, how can you be so cute? I love you so much."
"Ladies, we've arrived. Please get off the bus."
Zeng Zhongkang got out of the car to help open the door.
"Sister, why isn't Uncle saying anything?"
Zhang Hongmei chuckled. "Zeng Zhongkang, you're here to have fun with us, not to sit in front of your computer, so please smile!"
Zeng Zhongkang looked at the goofy Zhang Hongmei and gave a helpless twitch of his lips.
“Annie, you see, he can’t smile. In fact, when he does smile, it looks worse than crying. So, he should probably just stop smiling.”
"Yes, that's what I think too."
"Dad, can I have just one Coke? Just one!"
"Okay, I'll meet all your needs today!"
The little girl cheered and pulled Zhang Hongmei along as they ran towards the fast food restaurant.
The two stood in front of the counter. "Sister, have you tried it? I especially love fried chicken!"
"I've never had this before. What do you like to eat? Order me a portion too."
"Where is that uncle?"
Zeng Zhongkang shook his head and said, "Thank you."
"Dad, do you need it?"
"Annie, could you please order me a coffee without sugar?"
So the two girls each had a Coke, a piece of fried chicken, and a French fry. Since they weren't hungry yet, they didn't order any hamburgers or anything like that.
Zhang Hongmei had just taken out her money when Carlos snatched it away.
"Mr. Carlos, let's split the bill. That way, everyone will be more relaxed."
"Alright."
Zeng Zhongkang settled Zhang Hongmei's bill.
The four sat down, and the two men, watching the two girls eating happily, couldn't understand it at all. What was so delicious about this?
Zhang Hongmei wasn't particularly interested in these fast foods, but since she hadn't eaten them for a long time, she thought they tasted pretty good.
The two women ate with great satisfaction, and the two people next to them thought they must be eating the most delicious food in the world; their happiness was palpable even to those around them. But they knew in their hearts that it was just fast food.
Since they couldn't exercise immediately after eating, the two held hands and started shopping.
"Zeng Zhongkang, call home and tell Aunt Wang that we have guests coming over tonight."
Zeng Zhongkang nodded and went to the public phone booth next door.
"Annie, what kind of toy do you like? I'll give you a gift as a token of our friendship."
"Sister, I have lots of toys, so you don't need to give me a present."
"Hehe, then come to my house. I have a roly-poly toy, I'll give it to you."
