Chapter 1489 Liu Qiang's Wedding

"Okay, your mother and I believe you. Alright, let's eat, and you two should go home and rest early."

Xiangbei didn't eat at home today either; he went up the mountain after lunch. There were only five of them at the table.

After finishing their meal, the young couple drove away.

"Mom, when are you going back?"

"Leaving the night after tomorrow. Little Er, do you hope you do well on the exam?"

"Dad, don't worry, I guarantee I'll pass the exam."

"Are you really not going to stay in the capital to attend military academy? Your second uncle studied at the military academy in the capital, and it's a pretty good place."

"Dad, I want to go outside and see the world."

"Okay, go ahead."

Su Chen had no objections. The children should choose their own paths and walk their own way from now on.

Liu Qiang and his companion went straight back to the apartment building, which was decorated in a particularly festive manner. Everything was red; as soon as they entered and turned on the lights, the entire place was bathed in a warm, red glow.

"Huixin, go change your clothes and take a shower. I'll go tidy up and boil some water."

"Okay, I understand." Liu Huixin was very nervous. This was her wedding night, and the two of them hadn't even kissed yet.

Liu Qiang was boiling water in the kitchen, thinking about what his brothers had told him and the book Ping An had given him. His ears turned red, and he felt quite embarrassed, but more than that, he was looking forward to it.

Liu Huixin went into the bathroom, turned on the shower, and stood under it. She felt very comfortable, but she was also more nervous.

After she finished washing up, she quietly returned to the bedroom. Liu Qiang had already put the blankets away. Seeing the two blankets, one red and one green, placed together, she felt her heart almost jump out of her chest.

Liu Qiang boiled water and made two cups of milk powder. Hearing no movement from the bathroom, he knew his wife had finished washing up.

"Huixin, there's some milk powder I made outside. Come and have a cup. I'm going to take a shower."

When Liu Qiang came out, he saw that one of the cups on the table was missing. He picked up the other cup, drank it down in a few gulps, went to the kitchen to wash it and put it away, and then went into the new house.

Their first time together wasn't particularly pleasant, but the night was long, and Liu Huixin finally fell into a deep sleep around 3 a.m.

Liu Qiang was really satisfied; now he finally understood what Ping An had said.

The next morning at five o'clock, Liu Qiang woke up without disturbing his wife. He got dressed and went downstairs for a run, and bought breakfast when he came back.

After washing up, it was just 6:30. I returned to the bedroom and looked at my wife in the bright red quilt. Suddenly, my heart trembled. This was my wife, and I had my own little family now.

He sat on the edge of the bed, gently touching her smooth, soft cheek, and leaned down.

So, by the time the couple got up, it was already eight o'clock, and breakfast had gone cold. Liu Qiang went to the kitchen to heat it up, and after they finished eating, they drove back to Liu Qiang's parents' house.

The custom of returning to the bride's parents' home on the second day after the wedding varies from place to place.

Seeing his wife sitting beside him, clutching her back, he asked, "What's wrong? Still not feeling well?"

Liu Huixin rolled her eyes at him. How dare he ask?

The Liu family's homecoming banquet had even more guests than yesterday's wedding banquet. By the time the couple arrived home at nine o'clock, many relatives had already arrived.

The young couple were surrounded by two groups of people. Liu Qiang was a little uncomfortable, but he could still accept it.

"Huixin, is your husband good to you?" asked Jia, a childhood friend.

"Hmm, it's alright."

"Huixin, your in-laws must be very wealthy, right? This car is imported from abroad."

"Xiaoling, you know about this?"

"I like cars, so I know them."

"This isn't my boyfriend's car, it must belong to his brother, right? I don't know."

"Huixin, your dress is really beautiful. And the gown you wore yesterday was absolutely gorgeous."

"Yes, that was designed by a designer, and I think it looks good too."

A group of girls were chattering away, and Liu Huixin felt her vanity was satisfied; everyone envied her.

On Liu Qiang's side, they were all Hui Xin's cousins, uncles, and aunts.

They met the leader at the wedding banquet yesterday, and today they're all trying to get close to him, even if it's just to become acquainted with him.

The lunch banquet was quite lavish, and Liu Qiang accompanied Liu Jiancheng in toasting. Liu Jiancheng was happier than ever before. Everyone praised him for having such a good son-in-law.

After the banquet, only close relatives remained.

"Liu Qiang, where will you work after graduation?"

"Go work for my older brother?"

"Is it still not confirmed?"

"Well, I haven't decided yet whether to go to my eldest brother's or my third brother's."

"Liu Qiang, why don't you go to your second and fourth brothers' places?"

"Wait until my brother and the others arrive over there."

Although Liu Jiancheng felt it was a pity, he wasn't stupid and knew it wasn't something he should meddle in. So he dropped the subject.

“Son-in-law, I’m your aunt. Your cousin graduated from university a year ago and still doesn’t have a job. If you’re so capable, why don’t you go and help him find one?”

"You're still unemployed a year after graduating from university?" Liu Qiang frowned as he looked at the slick-haired man, finding it quite unbelievable.

"Liu Qiang, I graduated from the University of Posts and Telecommunications. The job the school assigned me was too tiring and didn't pay much, so I resigned."

"So what kind of job are you looking for?"

"Sitting in an office means earning more money and having power."

Liu Qiang sneered, "I don't have that ability. If you want to do manual labor, I can really arrange it for you. As for your idea, I really can't help you."

The living room fell silent, and Liu Jiancheng felt a little awkward. He quickly changed the subject.

Liu Huixin was furious. "Dad, Mom, let's go home." With that, she grabbed Liu Qiang and left.

Liu Huixin was still sulking after getting into the car.

"Okay, don't be angry, I'm not angry at all."

"How can I not be angry? Today is my joyous day, and yet I'm feeling unhappy?"

"Alright, they're not important people. Huixin, let me tell you, if your two younger brothers want to find jobs in the future, I will definitely help them, but I won't help others."

Liu Huixin nodded. "Okay. I understand. From now on, if my parents contact you and their demands are excessive, you don't need to pay them any attention."

"You're just saying this out of anger. If I really don't take care of you in the future, you'll be angry."

"I won't, I mean it. I know my parents' temper. Even if my younger brother is also ambitious in the future, you don't need to pay attention to them."

"Okay, I understand. Let's go home. I think Mom and Dad will leave in the next few days."

When the two returned home, Su Chen and Er Lengzi were making dumplings.

Liu Huixin greeted them, washed her hands, and then sat down to work.

The next morning, Er Lengzi and Su Chen went to Liu Aiguo's house.

Uncle, Aunt, I can't attend Chongyu's wedding. Something has come up, and we both have to leave tonight.

"Okay, we got it. You go ahead with your work." Liu Aimin understood Er Lengzi's situation.
