Wang Xuan couldn't hold on any longer. He yawned continuously and gradually fell asleep with a heavy heart.
He was really worried. Would the world really change dramatically in three years? He was afraid that some of his assumptions would eventually come true.
Outside the window, the stars finally emerged, and a silver moon hung obliquely in the sky. Occasionally, a few yellow leaves fell in the evening breeze, hitting the window and making a slight sound.
Inside the room, the bone trembled slightly and quickly returned to silence, making it difficult for ordinary people to see clearly.
In the dream, Wang Xuan was lying drunkenly on the clouds, carrying a magic sword on his back. He was surrounded by magnificent buildings, the Milky Way, and falling petals with a faint fragrance.
In front of him was a jade table, on which were fresh peaches and fragrant red Poria cocos fruits, as well as a jade pot filled with fine liquor and the aroma of wine lingering in the air.
The clouds and mist rolled around, and it looked like a fairyland with the fragrance of flowers. Not far away, fairies were dancing, with graceful figures and melodious music.
Here, Wang Xuan is the peerless immortal sword! In the morning he travels to the North Sea and in the evening he travels to Cangwu. He swallows the essence of the sun and the moon, enjoys the fruits of Yaochi, wanders freely in the mortal world, and sleeps drunk in the palace of Guanghan.
Suddenly, a sword light came striking down, piercing through the sky and the earth, connecting to the thunderstorm in the sky, destroying the Yao Chi Palace, and shattering the jade buildings and Pan Tao Garden.
Wang Xuan was cut down to the mortal world by a sword. He screamed and almost woke up. Finally, he fell in a desolate mountain. The immortal sword on his back was broken into pieces, leaving only the hilt.
Under the cold moonlight, on a desolate hill, the female sword fairy stood in the air, gazing at the bright moon, her moon-white dress fluttering, looking ethereal and otherworldly, as if she was about to fly away on the wind.
She had a cold temperament, not interested in worldly affairs. She glanced at Wang Xuan indifferently, clearly showing disdain. Did he really think that becoming an immortal would eventually lead him to the top of the white clouds, in the so-called peaceful and prosperous palaces? How naive!
Wang Xuan was speechless. He often labeled the female sword fairy, such as arrogant, conceited, and liked to be praised behind her back. Now it seems that the sword fairy also often defines him and dislikes him from time to time.
He felt that he no longer had any guilt feelings. We were all human beings and immortals in the mortal world. It was normal and nothing to criticize each other occasionally.
"I haven't become an immortal yet, so I don't understand the concept of immortals. So I constructed the scene based on the legend and waited for the fairy to come."
After hearing the explanation, the female sword fairy was quite satisfied. At least he put his heart into it, even though he didn't understand the truth about the immortals and made mistakes in his arrangements.
She raised her snow-white chin, obviously arrogant again, but it was better than a sword. Wang Xuan guessed that she should not be very old when she ascended to heaven, so she maintained her straightforward nature, unlike the old monk who was so treacherous.
The Sword Fairy pointed the snow-white sword in her hand at a mountain, then pointed at herself and Wang Xuan, and finally nodded.
"Shan, you and me, the two of us...what are we going to do on the mountain?" Wang Xuan blurted out.
Instantly he was struck, the bright sword light slashed him from one mountain peak to another. The sword fairy followed him in mid-air with a cold face, her calves under her skirt were as white as jade, her feet stepped on the air, and she glanced at him, seeming to be very annoyed with him.
"It doesn't mean that the two of us are on the mountain..." Wang Xuan saw that her sword light was shining again, and quickly added: "It means that people and mountains together are immortals?"
Then, he quickly spoke again: "A true immortal may not be sitting high in the Ninth Heaven, but may be on the top of an unknown barren mountain."
The female swordsman was a little surprised, and felt that he was not so vulgar anymore. She tilted her head to look at him, and rarely was she cold anymore, but she soon tensed up her expression again.
Wang Xuan felt that he had touched part of her pulse, and he immediately sighed: "A true immortal has his own character, why should he admire vanity? If he lives in the Moon Palace or in Yaochi, it will only be another place where the turbid air of the world gathers."
The female sword fairy was surprised and looked at him for one more second. Her impression had obviously improved a lot, but she still raised her head proudly and looked towards the deep sky filled with stars.
Soon, she caught a glimpse of a smile hiding on Lao Wang's lips, and instantly realized something. She slashed at him with her sword, cutting him down to the middle of the mountain.
Wang Xuan grimaced in pain and secretly sighed that he was careless. The female sword fairy's perception was too sharp. He thought he had felt her pulse and was feeling proud of himself, but he was struck down in an instant.
The Sword Fairy was quite quick and decisive. She landed without any delay, stretched out three beautiful fingers, and looked serious.
Wang Xuan felt heavy-hearted. As expected, another three-year period had passed. What did she want? What were these immortal beings planning?
"Fairy, you can tell me whatever you think." He really needed to know the truth and wanted to know what the ancients planned.
The female swordsman raised her white left hand and drew a line in the night sky. Suddenly, some scenes emerged. It was a group of low mountains. It did not look unusual. There was a collapsed small Taoist temple with broken walls and sparse rubble.
Wang Xuan's heart moved. According to the files attached to the bones sent by the relevant departments, the hand bones of the female sword fairy seemed to have been found in the place before him.
The scene changed, and Wang Xuan appeared in the picture. He brought the bones to the desolate hill and buried them deep underground in the Taoist temple.
"Are you asking me to escort the true bones left after your transformation and bury them again at the original place?" Wang Xuan was surprised. He didn't expect that the Sword Fairy had come to him in his dream for this matter. It was not difficult.
Is this a reburial? He was wondering about it, but he felt much more relaxed.
The female swordsman held up three fingers. Was she mentioning the three-year period again? Was she asking him to stay in the old land for three years, or was she going to find him when the time was up?
Wang Xuan said: "Fairy, you can't speak? I will teach you how to write. The characters in this world have been simplified and are simpler than before."
The female sword fairy used a secret technique to directly illuminate Wang Xuan's mind, and immediately saw what Old Wang was thinking. It was a scene of red sleeves adding fragrance... The sword fairy was helping him grind.
