Chapter 6: Show me your teacher's certificate when you take a bath

Qi Qing originally wanted to fall asleep like this, but he couldn't resist the faint smell of blood that kept drilling into his nose.

He pretended not to smell it, but the smell became more and more obvious, brewing and fermenting in the warm bed, with nowhere to hide.

After enduring for a long time, Qi Qing finally opened his eyes and frowned at the child in his arms: "Are you hurt?"

The little thing didn't make a sound, as if it had fallen asleep, but Qi Qing felt his sleeve suddenly being pulled tightly. He took a look in the dim light and saw that the eyelashes of the person in his arms were trembling slightly.

"What's going on? Get up and let me see."

Qi Qing didn't want to see him continue pretending to sleep, so he lifted the quilt and picked up the child without saying a word.

He sniffed carefully, turned Yue Ji around, and pulled up the clothes behind him.

The child was still struggling, but Qi Qing held his shoulders down like a fish that had just been salvaged from the shore: "Don't move."

After a few seconds, the little thing finally stopped moving and hung its head in depression.

On the child's back, a palm-sized wound was particularly eye-catching. The bleeding had stopped, but the struggle had caused the wound, which had not yet scabbed, to tear again, and blood flowed down his back, which was shocking.

Qi Qing frowned even more tightly and wiped the flowing blood gently with his sleeve, and the more he wiped, the lighter his hand became.

He sighed softly, a trace of helplessness appearing on his brows: "Why didn't you tell me that you were injured?"

Yue Ji lowered his head and whispered, "Master is very sleepy."

Qi Qing glanced at him and swallowed back the words of reproach that were on the tip of his tongue: "I'm not a tiger, how can I eat you? Wait, I'll find some medicine for your wound."

He opened the ring and couldn't help wondering, when did this child get hurt? Was it during the trial?

But when Yue Ji broke the impasse, I was clearly with him the whole time, so it’s impossible that... something’s not right.

No, there were indeed no enemies after he arrived - but what about before that?

Qi Qing's hands slowed down as he searched.

He thought Yue Ji had avoided getting hurt, just as he thought he would never have any contact with Yue Ji again.

But it is hard to defy fate.

Is it true that no matter what choice he makes, he cannot change his future destiny?

The room became quiet, with only the sound of the two people's breathing. It was almost the beginning of spring and the night air was still cold. Qi Qing relit the remaining candle, got out of bed and took out a wooden barrel from his ring.

He closed the doors and windows tighter, and with a wave of his finger, a pool of clear spring appeared out of nowhere in the bucket.

"Come here and wash your wound." Qi Qingchao waved to the child.

Yue Ji knew that hesitation would make the young man unhappy, so he got out of bed silently, his steps quick and light. When he reached the bucket, he suddenly stopped.

He glanced at Qi Qing uneasily, twisted the corner of his clothes with his fingers, and whispered: "Disciple... do it yourself."

Qi Qing didn't care about anything else. He rolled up his sleeves and quickly stripped the child's clothes in two or three moves. He then picked up the child and turned him around, and Yue Ji was in the water.

"You do it yourself? How long do you have to wait to wash? Finish it early and go to bed early."

He took out a small stool from the ring, sat down next to it, and started washing the child with a look of resignation on his face.

The water was warm, slightly higher than body temperature. Yue Ji clung to the edge of the bucket awkwardly, feeling uncomfortable all over.

His body was much thinner than that of people of his age. In addition to the new wound on his back, there were also many new and old scars on his shoulder blades and arms.

Qi Qing's hand paused, and the wiping movement became cautious, for fear of hurting the person.

"How did you get these?" He nodded.

Yue Ji didn't look back, his ears were red, and he said vaguely: "The previous injury has healed, Master, don't worry."

“But you originally…” You are just an ordinary family, how could you have so many old wounds?

Qi Qing wanted to say something but stopped himself. He struggled in his mind for a while, and finally decided not to arouse unnecessary suspicion: "Forget it, don't hide your injuries in the future."

After taking a bath and applying medicine, Qi Qing took out a set of the original owner's old clothes from the ring.

Although the clothes were a bit loose, they were made of good material, soft and clean. He wrapped Yue Ji up and threw him directly onto the bed: "Okay, go to sleep."

I was so sleepy before, but after all the trouble, I’m not sleepy at all now.

Qi Qing lamented that he was born to work hard, so he simply washed the child's dirty clothes stained with blood. After hanging the clothes, he came back and saw that the little thing was still looking at him eagerly.

"Didn't I tell you to go to bed?" Qi Qing stuffed him into the quilt.

Yue Ji pulled his sleeve, shrank towards the wall, and whispered, "Master, go to sleep too."

Qi Qing took a look in the candlelight. Now that the child had washed, she discovered that the child had very fair skin, dark and clear eyes, like a stone sunk to the bottom of a jar, and delicate features to the point of being beautiful. If it weren't for the clear brow bones and high nose bridge, this face could almost be described as "indistinguishable between male and female."

It looks pretty good.

Qi Qing rubbed his head, blew out the candle and went to bed.

The next day was a sunny day.

The sky is blue, the clouds are flowing like white gauze, and the mountains are filled with birdsong.

Qi Qing almost slept until noon. He opened his eyes drowsily and was stunned for a moment when he saw the room which looked as if it had been ransacked.

He sat up suddenly and remembered that he had traveled through time.

The young man reached out and touched the bed. There was no one around him. He quickly put on his clothes, got out of bed and called out, "Yue Ji, Yue Ji?"

The next moment, the crooked wooden door opened from the outside, and a little head popped in: "Disciple is here, what can I do for you, Master?"

Qi Qing breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I thought you had gone somewhere."

His outer robe was untied, and his hair was untied, hanging lazily behind him. He lowered his eyes to look at the child: "What are you doing in the yard?"

Yue Ji had changed back into his own clothes and gave him a standard disciple salute: "Disciple was just practicing martial arts."

Qi Qing paused when he heard this, "Practice?"

After it was over, I remembered that I still had to practice.

——He doesn’t even have a teaching certificate in the cultivation world.

Yue Ji saw his expression change, not knowing what he had misunderstood, and said solemnly, "My disciple is dull, please teach me, Master."

After saying that, the child took a stance, used the tree branch as a sword, and swung it through the air.

“Hey hey hey!”

Qi Qingyi tilted his head and narrowly avoided it, raising his hand to block the next move: "Wait..."

“Swish!”

The branch attacked again, this time targeting the upper body. Qi Qing staggered and dodged, dodging in a very awkward manner.

"I said, wait!"

Just as Yue Ji was about to make a move, blue spiritual power appeared and instantly took away the branch.

Qi Qing really didn't want to admit that he was forced to use his spiritual power by a kid, so he said with a straight face: "Are you injured yet? Why are you fighting here? If your injury gets worse, I won't care about you."

Yue Ji fell to the ground and bowed his head obediently: "Yes, disciple was inconsiderate."

"Okay, I don't blame you."

Qi Qing threw the branch away, looked around the shabby courtyard, and suddenly asked, "Have you had breakfast?"

After getting a negative answer, he stroked his chin in thought.

I have no money and no skills. It's not going to work this way. I have to find someone to help me and borrow some money for emergency. How about... finding yesterday's senior brother?

We are brothers, so it’s normal to help each other raise a child, right?

If you can help raise the kids, then it wouldn't be too much to ask for a place to live in, right?

After all, they are disciples arranged by the master. You can't really bear to let them, a big one and a small one, starve to death, right?

Qi Qing was beaming with joy at the thought, feeling that the future was bright.

He raised an eyebrow at Yue Ji, curled his lips and said, "Come on, Master will take you to see someone."
