Han Junche restrained his impulse and said again, "Xu Fan has regained his superpowers. It's more useful for you to find him than me."
This person is not as cute as before.
Chi Xia pouted and started to play the victim: "Not only do my hands hurt, but my feet hurt too. I twisted my ankle when I was moving supplies before, and now it's swollen so much that it hurts to take a step. But I know I made you angry before, so I came to coax you after dinner. You have no idea how I got through this."
Chi Xia started shamelessly trying to make herself look good, claiming that she had come on her own initiative when she was the one who was kicked out by Li Han and Zhang Xin.
While boasting about how much she wanted to coax him, she also played the victim: "Although it's true that you shouldn't avoid seeking medical help when you're sick, Li Han is still a man, and I still feel a little awkward. After all, even you haven't touched my feet yet, so I was thinking that it would be nice if A-Che could massage them for me."
At this point, she added another strong dose of truth, saying in a wronged voice, "If...if you don't want to, if...if you dislike me, then...then I'll go find Li Han or Xu Fan instead."
Chi Xia stood outside the door and waited for a moment. Seeing that there was still no movement inside, she made a gesture as if she was about to leave: "Then...then I'm leaving."
After saying that, she turned around and walked back, looking back every few steps.
One step, two steps, and before he could even take the third step, Han Junche yanked open the door.
His handsome face was ashen, and he looked at Chi Xia coldly, saying, "Come here!"
Chi Xia immediately threw herself into his arms, so forcefully that Han Junche was knocked back two steps before he could regain his balance.
To avoid him retaliating later, Chi Xia casually closed the door and locked it.
The movements were fluid and seamless, without the slightest pause.
She nestled into Han Junche's arms, whimpering sweetly, "Ah Che, I missed you so much."
Han Junche's gaze swept over her 'injured' ankle, and his face darkened even more. He reached out and pulled her out of his arms, gave her a cold look, and sat back down on the bed.
The sun was shining brightly outside, but the room was quite dark because the blackout curtains were drawn.
Han Junche sat on the edge of the bed, his long legs forming a large "几" shape with the edge of the bed. He lowered his head, his slightly long bangs covering his forehead. His clothes hadn't been changed, obviously because he hadn't moved since returning from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Chi Xia touched her nose and came to the bedside. She was all dirty and embarrassed to sit on his snow-white bed, so she simply knelt down on the carpet next to the bed.
She gripped his knees with both hands, craned her neck to look up at him, and smiled at him: "Is A-Che angry?"
Han Junche lifted his eyelids to look at her, and uttered two words indifferently: "No."
"Ache is definitely angry."
Chi Xia tilted her head and rested it on his lap, letting out a soft sigh: "After all, I spoke without thinking today, saying that I would leave you, so it's understandable that you're angry."
Han Junche's dark eyes looked at her silently, their eyes meeting, but he didn't say a word.
Chi Xia just lay on his lap and looked at him. When she went upstairs, she had thought about it carefully. Han Junche had such a strong will and was so proud. In everyone's mind, he was an image that could not be beaten or crushed.
What could possibly make someone like him, looking so weary, utter the words "I'm tired"?
After much deliberation, the only possibility she could have come up with was that she was so angry at the time that she thought the last of the three rules he made with her was to keep Jia Jing from knowing about their relationship, and she said that she had never met him before and then left.
