Upon hearing Chunli's address, the man smiled and nodded at her: "Young lady, you have excellent taste!"
Upon hearing the words "little girl," Chunli immediately perked up, waved to him, and said in a sweet voice, "Little brother, have you eaten yet? Come and eat with me."
Chi Xia was disgusted by her sudden, overly sweet voice and shuddered, getting goosebumps all over her body.
Clearly, Chi Xia wasn't the only one who felt disgusted. Apart from Han Junche, who remained expressionless, everyone else shuddered. After shuddering, Liu Daniu gave Chunli a resentful look.
Chunli was completely unaware, and even moved her chair to make room for him: "Little brother, don't be shy, come into my bowl... uh, I mean, come here."
The handsome guy seemed taken aback by Chun-Li's enthusiasm. He paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Okay." He turned around and said, "Little Grey."
A wolf sprang out of the bushes, its fur a greyish-brown color, its eyes blood-red, and it reached just above the handsome man's calves.
As soon as Little Gray appeared, Mengmeng changed her low growl to a threatening howl: "Awoo~"
Upon hearing the roar, Little Gray crouched low, assuming a ready-to-attack stance, bared its teeth, and growled at Mengmeng, "Awoo~"
The man seemed surprised by this turn of events, and he called out warningly, "Little Gray!"
Little Grey glanced at him, then withdrew its teeth, but its fur was still bristling, giving it an aggressive look.
The man smiled apologetically at everyone: "I'm sorry, my little gray dog isn't usually like this."
Chi Xia waved her hand at him: "It's okay, Mengmeng isn't usually like this."
"Is its name Mengmeng?" The man seemed intrigued, staring at Mengmeng and saying, "Is it a mutated wolf king? My Xiaohui is too. No wonder these two little guys don't get along at first sight. It's true that two wolves cannot share one mountain."
Han Junche frowned at this person who suddenly appeared: "Who are you, and how did you get here?"
"Huh? Haven't I introduced myself yet?"
The man blinked, looking somewhat bewildered. He smiled at the crowd, revealing neat, white teeth: "My name is Qin Zhao, Qin as in Qin Shi Huang, and Zhao as in Zhan Zhao. I am a lone superhuman. Since H City is sparsely populated, there should be plenty of supplies, so I thought I'd try my luck here. I didn't expect to run into you all."
"At first I thought you were some kind of robbery squad, so I didn't dare show up. But the food you made smelled so good, I couldn't resist..."
Qin Zhao scratched his head sheepishly, looking rather shy.
Hearing this, Lin Yi breathed a sigh of relief. So this guy was there from the beginning. No wonder they didn't notice him even though he was so close.
However, upon hearing this, Han Junche frowned even more deeply: "Coming here alone to try your luck?"
Qin Zhao didn't think anything was wrong and still smiled as he said, "Yes, I came from City C. I originally wanted to find a base to join, but the person in charge of the base in City C was crazy. He insisted that I hand over all the supplies I found, so I got angry and decided to go solo."
