Seeing the man retreat in terror, Chi Xia smiled and said calmly, "If I want to kill you, all I need to do is set fire to your back. Do you think anyone will help you? Don't say I didn't give you a chance. I'll count to three, and you'd better release General Han immediately, or you'll suffer the same fate as Huo En."
"one!"
Before he could even utter the two words, the man's pupils constricted, and he screamed as he released Han Zheng: "Ahhhhh! Don't kill me!"
Chi Xia stopped laughing, looked at the man who was almost scared out of his wits, snorted coldly, and turned to Han Zheng, saying, "Uncle Han, let's go."
Han Zheng nodded to her, came to her side, and followed her outside.
Chi Xia walked out step by step. The people who rushed in at the door were both surprised and frightened when they saw her face. With each step she took, they unconsciously backed away.
And so, Chi Xia led Han Zheng out of the small building without any hindrance.
In the distance, Qian Xiangdong, Lu Ang, and Yu Guang were confronting a group of people guarding the road ahead. Lin Yi, Wang Dalong, and Xu Fan were also among the crowd.
Upon seeing Chi Xia and Han Junche from afar, Lin Yi immediately called out, "Sister-in-law!"
This shout drew everyone's attention.
Qian Xiangdong and Lu Ang watched as Chi Xia led Han Zheng out of the small building with an air of nonchalance, while the people standing inside and outside the building remained silent, not daring to utter a sound or move an inch.
Moreover, the way they looked at Chi Xia was as if they had seen a ghost, their eyes filled with fear.
Qian Xiangdong and Lu Ang were taken aback, but now was not the time to ask questions. They simply exclaimed with delight, "General! Captain Chi!"
Han Zheng nodded to them, stepped forward to the group blocking Qianxiang East Road, and said coldly, "Hurn kidnapped me, attempting to use my life to threaten my old subordinates and seize the base. He's dead now. Do you still want to rebel?"
These people, like those guarding the small building, had no idea what Horn had done.
Hearing Han Zheng's words and the news that Huo En was dead, they were all shocked and frightened. Upon hearing the word "rebellion," they quickly denied it, saying, "General, we didn't mean that."
Qian Xiangdong sneered: "You didn't mean it that way, but you did it anyway!"
Han Zheng waved his hand at him and said to the others, "It seems you were also misled by Horn and made a mistake unintentionally. I won't pursue the matter with you. Get out of the way now."
Upon hearing this, the group immediately stepped back and made way.
Some people tried to explain to Han Zheng, but Han Zheng ignored them and instead said to Qian Xiangdong, "Arrest Yu Jing and Zhan Kaixian inside. These two are one of the masterminds behind this rebellion."
Chi Xia added from the side, "And in the first-floor restroom, there's a guy named Zhang San who's in cahoots with them."
Qian Xiangdong nodded in agreement and led a group of people toward the small building.
Lin Yi took two steps forward, came to her side, looked her up and down, and asked with concern, "Sister-in-law, are you alright?"
Chi Xia shook her head: "I'm fine, but I need a helicopter right now."
Lin Yi, unaware that Han Junche and Qin Zhao had gone to the capital, asked curiously, "Sister-in-law, what do you need a helicopter for?"
After saying that, he suddenly felt something was wrong and looked behind him: "Where's the boss?"
Chi Xia's face darkened, and she didn't answer. Han Zheng, who was standing to the side, understood what she meant and frowned, saying, "You're going to find him?"
Chi Xia nodded: "Yes, I'm going to find him."
