Han Junche raised his hand to look at the watch on his wrist. It was already past six o'clock in the evening, and in a little while, it would be completely dark.
So he said, "Let's find a place to rest, and we'll search again tomorrow."
Chi Xia and Chun Li had no objections. Zombies were active at night, and their vision was obstructed. Even with Chi Xia's fire-type ability, it was still inconvenient. Besides, the light at night would make it easier for zombies to spot them.
Now that the zombies on the 13th floor have been mostly cleared out, it has become the safest place.
Although Xue Changjun became a zombie, he still retained human habits, which is one of the reasons why this building has been relatively well preserved.
The three of them found a clean room. Chi Xia took some winter clothes from her spatial storage and laid them on the floor, making three makeshift beds. She also took water and food, which the three of them shared.
Mengmeng knew she had done something wrong, and she followed Chi Xia obediently at her feet. She seemed a little down, unlike before when she would always cling to Chi Xia.
It eats whatever Chi Xia gives it, and drinks whatever Chi Xia gives it. Every now and then, it looks at Chi Xia with pitiful and innocent eyes.
She looked both aggrieved and pitiful.
Chi Xia was determined to punish it, so she ignored it and let it follow her around.
After seeing Chi Xia's spatial ability, Chunli couldn't help but admire her even more, exclaiming that she had finally found her tribe and would never have to live a life of hardship again.
In response to her flattery, Chi Xia shrugged: "You're making a mountain out of a molehill. At most, this is just a storage warehouse. You haven't seen any real space yet."
Chunli became interested: "Then Sister Chi, tell me what a real space is like? Let me broaden my horizons. I've never seen any space ability users before when I was in the Martial Arts Alliance."
Speaking of this, we naturally have to mention Jerry. Chi Xia glanced cautiously at Han Junche, who had no expression on his face, and said to Chunli, "You'll find out later."
When Chunli saw that Han Junche glanced at her when she mentioned spatial ability users, she roughly understood what was going on. She smiled and nodded, "Okay."
The three of them had separate sleeping mats on the floor. Han Junche lay on his mat, looking at the ceiling, and did not join their conversation.
Chi Xia looked at him, then at the distance between them.
She stood up, dragged her makeshift mat next to him, lay down, put her arm around his, and leaned on his shoulder.
Han Junche glanced at her sideways, said nothing, and let her lean against him.
To be honest, Chi Xia had long been prepared for a long-term battle with Han Junche, but she never expected that Han Junche's love for her would make the proud man yield to this extent.
Holding his arm and leaning on his shoulder, Chi Xia felt her heart overflowing with happiness and closed her eyes.
When Chunli looked up, she saw the two of them clinging to each other. She silently turned over and faced away from them.
She's already stuffed from all the dog food (romantic content).
Night fell, and all was quiet.
The only sounds were from the zombies moving around downstairs.
In the dead of night, Chi Xia suddenly opened her eyes, looked up at Han Junche who had his eyes closed, and whispered, "Ache, are you asleep?"
Han Junche didn't open his eyes, but simply parted his thin lips and asked calmly, "Is there something you need?"
Chi Xia hugged his arm and snuggled closer to him, whispering in his ear, "Back then, you said you loved me, didn't you?"
