Jia Jing turned to look at Chi Xia, feeling quite shocked.
She hadn't expected Chi Xia to interrupt her, and to be so self-righteous after hearing the whole story.
Jia Jing frowned deeply and looked at Chi Xia, saying, "Miss Chi, don't you feel any remorse at all? If it weren't for you, how could I have lost my sister and mother? How could my father have lost his most beloved youngest daughter and his wife? It's all because of you!"
Her eyes were filled with hatred: "How dare someone as cowardly and selfish as you receive Han Junche's forgiveness? He's so outstanding, he..."
No matter how outstanding he is, it has nothing to do with you.
Chi Xia sneered: "Excuse me for being blunt, but your story doesn't move me at all, and it certainly can't convince me to leave A-Che. In this world, the only person who can make me leave A-Che is himself."
"You really are a cold-blooded person."
Jia Jing took a deep breath and looked at Chi Xia, saying, "Since Miss Chi is refusing to listen to reason, then I can only wish you good luck. Han Junche carries the weight of two lives taken by our Jia family. Even if he protects you, he won't make things too difficult for my father and me for your sake. Miss Chi can't even tolerate a simple form of address; I wonder if she can tolerate me being alone with him from time to time, or even having intimate contact with him?"
Chi Xia's expression didn't change at all upon hearing this; she even smiled.
Seeing her smile, Jia Jing's face turned cold: "What are you laughing at?"
"What are you laughing at?" Chi Xia shook her head with a smile: "Of course I'm laughing at your stupidity and arrogance."
Upon hearing this, Jia Jing was speechless with anger: "You!"
What's wrong with me?
Chi Xia stopped laughing and looked at her coldly, saying, "Your sister likes A-Che, and even gave her life for him. I'm grateful to her, but that's your sister's business. What does it have to do with you?"
Jia Jing's expression stiffened upon hearing this: "How can it be unrelated? She's my sister!"
"Why is Miss Jia so agitated? Did I step on your sore spot?"
Chi Xia snorted coldly: "In the end, the only thing A-Che and I owe is your sister. As her direct relative, you have the right to ask A-Che and me to make compensation. But is it a bit disgusting to try to use this favor to bind A-Che for life and demand endless returns?"
Chi Xia looked at Jia Jing with disdain: "Even if we put it another way, and A-Che doesn't forgive me, are you really so at ease taking the debt of gratitude your sister earned with her life to possess A-Che and make him your sister's brother-in-law? Do you really think you're doing right by your deceased sister?"
Chi Xia opened the car door, stepped out, and looked up at Jia Jing, whose face was as black as the bottom of a pot, and said, "Thank you, Miss Jia, for telling me the whole story. In return, I'd like to tell you something as well."
Jia Jing stared at her with a dark expression and said coldly, "Just say what you have to say!"
"Why is Miss Jia so angry?"
Chi Xia smiled and said, "I just wanted to tell Miss Jia that if I thought it was better not to stay at Thunder Base before you told me these things, now I think I'm definitely staying here. As for leaving, I think I'll leave with A-Che when I get tired of it."
Upon hearing this, Jia Jing's face turned dark then pale, then pale again.
She wondered how Chi Xia would react after she told her about the Jia family's entanglement with Han Junche.
Ultimately, it was Chi Xia who pushed Han Junche into the zombie horde, leaving him in a daze, which led to the series of events that followed. So, isn't Chi Xia the culprit?
Even if she doesn't regret it, shouldn't she at least feel guilty?
But there was nothing, absolutely nothing.
