Han Junche entered the room and nodded to Chunli as a greeting.
Then he went straight to Chi Xia, handed her the thermos, and said in a soft voice with tender eyes, "I thought you hadn't hung out with Zhang Xin and the others in a long time, so I didn't call you back for dinner. I brought the food over to you."
As he spoke, he took another step forward, drawing Chi Xia, who was sitting on the single sofa, into his embrace, and then said softly, "Should I put the food on the table for you, or should I just leave it here?"
"Tsk tsk tsk, my brother-in-law is so gentle and tender, it's almost unbearable to look at."
Chunli, who had returned at some point, said to Zhang Xin, who had stood up from the sofa and consciously moved aside to give Chi Xia and Han Junche some space, "I bet you breakfast that Sister Chi and her husband had a fight, and it was the kind where Sister Chi was the only one who was angry."
Zhang Xin turned to look at her and said, "I think this gamble is completely unnecessary, because it's just too obvious."
Chunli and Zhang Xin appeared to be whispering to each other, but in reality, they made no attempt to hide their conversation, speaking clearly and loudly.
