What does Chapter 204 explain?

Mengmeng has also figured out one thing in the past few days: no matter how powerful Chi Xia is, she has to admit defeat when she meets Han Junche.

So whenever it was punished, it would rub against Han Junche's trouser leg, acting cute and rolling around, trying to avoid the punishment.

However, it ultimately miscalculated. In Han Junche's view, if Mengmeng could not follow instructions completely, then it would be a burden rather than a helper to Chi Xia.

Back in Z City, Han Junche overestimated Mengmeng's obedience, which is why he entrusted it with such an important task as finding mutated zombies.

Although the outcome was good, it was because the mutated, super-powered zombie was Xue Changjun, not a zombie who had forgotten his past, could not speak human language, and although he could think, had lost his humanity.

Otherwise, the outcome is unpredictable.

So when Mengmeng tried to beg and plead for mercy, Han Junche simply got into the car, closed the door, and decided to avoid seeing or hearing her.

After several attempts, Mengmeng finally realized that the only person who could decide its fate was Chi Xia.

It obediently put away its arrogance and self-righteousness, and followed Chi Xia's instructions in every word and deed.

Days passed by, and everything seemed perfect, but Chi Xia always felt a vague unease.

When Han Junche was in Z City, he told him in the building that he needed some explanations after they got out, but Han Junche still hasn't asked him anything since they're arriving at the base tomorrow.

He wouldn't ask Chi Xia, let alone bring it up himself, so she was always cautious and on tenterhooks.

She was both waiting for Han Junche to ask the question and hoping that he wouldn't, and that he would forget about it completely.

However, what is destined to come will come.

The next morning, after breakfast and getting ready, I set off in my car.

Han Junche drove ahead to lead the way, Chunli's car followed behind, and Chi Xia was still holding Mengmeng in the passenger seat of Han Junche.

The sun was shining brightly, and the autumn air was crisp and clear. Han Junche, who hadn't spoken much before, suddenly glanced at her and said calmly, "Chi Xia, don't you still owe me some explanations?"

Upon hearing this, Chi Xia's heart skipped a beat. She turned her head to examine his expression, but all she saw were his pursed thin lips, high nose bridge, and a pair of large sunglasses.

Chi Xia nervously swallowed: "Explain...explain what?"

“You have a lot to explain.” Han Junche glanced at her again. “Let’s start with the simplest thing: what Chunli said about you and Jerry.”

Chi Xia knew she couldn't escape this hurdle. Han Junche had clearly adopted a stance of wanting to have a long talk with her. This meant that he had completely let go of his inner turmoil and was willing to start over with her, but it also meant that if she didn't answer well, old grudges would be put aside and new hatreds would be picked up.

Chi Xia sat down obediently and answered honestly, "You saw it that day too. The place is only so big, and the floor mat is only so long. There are five people to sleep in, so there will always be situations where we have to sit next to each other. It's either me or Zhang Xin."

At this point, she looked at Han Junche seriously and said, "Zhang Xin doesn't like physical contact with men for some reason. Although she hasn't mentioned it, we can all tell. So I'm the only one who can be next to her. As for Jerry, he's young and innocent. I won't feel awkward next to him. If it were Liu Daniu or Li Han, I'm afraid no one would be able to sleep well."

Han Junche listened without commenting: "You held his hand?"

"I was wrong to do this."
