She knew she had hurt him in the past, so she kept spoiling and coaxing him, shamelessly following him around. But she was only human; he got tired, and so did she.
Chi Xia is feeling a bit lost right now, unable to see which way to go. She feels that Han Junche can't continue like this. She can't always be concerned about his feelings, nor can she keep coaxing him like this forever.
A little jealousy and playful bickering are part of the fun, but chaining her up like this goes far beyond that.
Chunli's words, though incorrect, are not without merit. It's not a good idea to spoil a man all the time; if he spoils her into becoming a yandere, she'll be the one who suffers in the end.
"Sister-in-law, I've brought you some food."
Lin Yi's voice came from outside. Chi Xia sat up and said, "Come in, the door isn't locked."
Lin Yi hesitated for a moment. He had never been in a relationship, but that didn't mean he was stupid. Was he someone who could just walk into a couple's room? What if he saw something he shouldn't have? If his boss came back, wouldn't he skin him alive?
Chi Xia sat on the bed and, seeing that Lin Yi hadn't come in for a while, knew that he must have been overthinking things again: "Don't think too much, come in, it's not convenient for me to go out."
Hearing this, Lin Yi frowned, but this time he didn't think much of it and pushed open the door: "Sister-in-law..."
Before she could even utter the word "zi," Lin Yi was stunned by the scene before her.
It was a bright and sunny afternoon, but the room was dark because the blackout curtains were drawn. Chi Xia sat quietly on the bed, her head down and her expression unreadable. Two long, silver-white iron chains were tied to the foot of the bed at one end and to her wrists and ankles at the other.
The scene before him was beyond Lin Yi's comprehension and understanding. The usually eloquent Lin Yi was now speechless: "This..."
Chi Xia shook the iron chains on her hands and smiled at him: "The shackles of love, are you surprised?"
Seeing that she could still smile, Lin Yi breathed a slight sigh of relief. To prevent others from seeing this scene, he quickly went inside and closed the door.
He placed the food on the table, turned to look at the two iron chains, and asked Chi Xia, "What's going on? Has Han Junche gone mad?"
"More or less." Chi Xia sighed deeply: "He said if I leave him again, he will cripple my superpowers, break my legs, and tie me up for life."
