When Chi Xia and the others arrived at the entrance of the Martial Arts Alliance base, Yao Na had already been waiting there for a long time.
Geng Lang, who was standing next to her, had repeatedly advised her not to wait at the door, but Yao Na smiled and said, "It's alright. Lili has been wandering outside for so long, and now that she's finally back, I, as her older sister, am waiting here so that she knows we welcome her back."
Looking at her like this, Geng Lang sighed softly: "We all know how she treated you. No matter how good you are to her, she will never remember your past feelings."
That's not how you say it!
Yao Na puffed out her cheeks, seemingly very angry: "Everything I have is given to me by Lili. If it weren't for Lili, I don't know what would have become of me. Moreover, without Lili, I wouldn't have met you. Just for that reason, it's only right that she treats me the way she wants."
"You," Geng Lang sighed, reaching out to pat her head, his eyes filled with tenderness, "you're just too kind-hearted."
As they spoke, five off-road vehicles came into view. Unlike the previous ones, which were covered in dust and whose appearance was obscured, these vehicles had been washed and gleamed with a metallic sheen in the sunlight. Coupled with the imposing military vehicles leading the way, they immediately gave off an impression of formidable strength.
Yao Na narrowed her eyes, then immediately smiled and said happily to Geng Lang, "Lili is here, go and tell Dad."
Geng Lang remained expressionless, only saying calmly, "I already sent someone to inform my master, and he didn't say anything."
Yao Na looked at Geng Lang with a mixture of resentment and reproach: "Dad is just too proud to admit it. You'd better put in a good word for Lili later."
Geng Lang sneered but didn't say anything, though his expression clearly showed his unwillingness.
Yao Na didn't seem to care about his answer. As soon as Chi Xia and the others' car came to a stop, she happily went to greet them.
Han Junche was still leading the way. He wore sunglasses, which concealed the cold glint in his eyes, revealing only his resolute chin. When he saw Yao Na approaching, he said indifferently, "Miss Yao."
Han Junche's voice was clear yet magnetic, like a feather gently brushing against Yao Na's heart. She looked at Han Junche's aloof and noble appearance and was momentarily stunned, but quickly recovered and said with a smile, "You've all worked hard. I've arranged accommodations. Please drive the car into the base first."
Han Junche nodded regally, stepped on the gas, and the car drove into the gate.
Next was Qin Zhao.
Qin Zhao pressed the window button, flashed her his signature smile, and winked at her with a roguish charm: "Sister."
Yao Na stared at the roguishly handsome face and those alluring peach blossom eyes in front of her, slightly taken aback: "Sister?"
Qin Zhao smiled and said, "You are Lili's older sister, so I should call you 'older sister' as well."
Yao Na was instantly taken aback by the subtext of those words.
When Yao Na first met this group of people, she immediately noticed the two most outstanding men in the group: Han Junche and Qin Zhao.
One of them was aloof and noble, while the other had a naturally roguish charm. The former made people feel ashamed in his presence, while the latter had a smile on his lips that inexplicably made him alluring.
When Chi Xia said that Chunli already had a man who had hosted a banquet, Yao Na secretly wondered who it might be, but she immediately ruled out Han Junche and Qin Zhao, not for any other reason than that she subconsciously felt that Chunli was not good enough for him!
