Chapter 267 It Has Nothing to Do with Me

Han Junche looked at Chi Xia, into her cold eyes, and fell silent.

Looking at his expression, Chi Xia already knew the answer. A hint of hurt flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a fierce look.

Without looking at Han Junche again, she waved her hand and sent a fireball hurtling towards Jia Li on the stage.

Lin Yi was mentally controlling Jia Li when a fireball suddenly came hurtling towards him. He quickly released Jia Li, not wanting to experience the power of his sister-in-law's fireball for this scumbag.

However, the fireball ultimately failed to hit Jia Li, as it was intercepted halfway by an invisible wall of air.

Even though she already had the answer in her heart and was prepared, Chi Xia still couldn't help but feel disappointed when the fireball was blocked.

She turned to look at Han Junche, silently watching him without questioning him or explaining why she had to kill him, because she knew he understood.

As she gazed at him silently, seeing the hurt in her eyes, Han Junche felt no less pain in his heart than she did.

He spoke in a hoarse, low voice, half pleading and half explaining, "I owe the Jia family two lives, and I promised to..."

"It has nothing to do with me."

Chi Xia interrupted him calmly, looked into his eyes, and repeated, "It has nothing to do with me anymore."

It has nothing to do with her...

These four words seemed to turn into boulders, crashing down on Han Junche's head one by one.

He reached out and grabbed her hand, his dark eyes as deep as an ancient pool as he looked at her, and said in a low voice, "Is it necessary to kill him? If we leave, what will become of him..."

"He must be killed." Chi Xia interrupted him again: "I must kill him. I won't leave myself with such a future problem."

Han Junche didn't speak; he watched as Chi Xia slowly released her hand.

Upon regaining his freedom, Jia Li burst into maniacal laughter at the sight: "Hahahaha, Jia Xin, did you see that? This is the man you risked your life to protect! Now this man is going to watch Dad and Sister die at the hands of his woman! Jia Xin, you not only killed yourself and your mother, but now you're going to kill me and your sister! This is the price you pay for saving people... Hahahaha..."

Jia Xin is the name of the youngest sister in the Jia family.

Jia Li kept repeating those words like a madman, while Han Junche lowered his eyes and clenched his fists.

Chi Xia looked at Han Junche's appearance and lowered her eyes as well.

Liu Daniu, Li Han, Zhang Xin, and Chunli were originally unaware of the connection between Han Junche and the Jia family father and daughter, but after hearing Jia Li shouting frantically over and over again, they roughly understood.

Liu Daniu looked at Han Junche, then at Chi Xia, and hesitated before saying, "Sister Chi, why don't we just cripple him? Brother-in-law is right, if we leave, that cripple will definitely not have a good ending!"

Zhang Xin came to Chi Xia's side and whispered in her ear, "Sister Chi, we're all doing fine, so crippling him won't change anything. There's no need to make things unpleasant with your brother-in-law over an outsider."

Chi Xia did not answer.

She actually disliked this situation. Whether she crippled Jia Li and Jia Jing or killed them, the rift and discord between her and Han Junche were inevitable.

Killing and crippling her were no longer simply about dealing with the Jia family father and daughter; they were about the issues between her and Han Junche.

Disabling them was something that Chi Xia had already crossed her bottom line and was beyond her tolerance, while killing them meant that Han Junche was ungrateful and broke his oath and promise.

Chi Xia and Han Junche stood quietly, neither of them speaking.
