Chi Xia sighed, "I don't want to eat in the cafeteria. I want to eat Li Han's cooking. I'm tired of eating in the cafeteria."
Han Junche thought for a moment, then reached out and gently patted her head, saying, "Be good, wait for me."
His gaze was so doting that even though Chi Xia missed Li Han's cooking, she couldn't bear to ruin his attempt to show affection, so she could only nod.
Seeing her nod, Han Junche stood up and strode towards the cafeteria.
Whispers rippled through the crowd: "Isn't that Captain Han and Captain Chi? Didn't they say they broke up? They don't look like it."
"Exactly! These two don't look like they've broken up at all. Did you see Captain Han's head pat? It was so sweet!"
"Captain Han is so handsome! Look at those long legs!"
"Don't look, it's not yours even if you do."
"Can't I just appreciate it?"
"Didn't Captain Han's fiancée come looking for them? Isn't it a bit irresponsible of them to still be acting like this?"
"What nonsense are you talking about? Didn't you see the statement posted on the bulletin board?"
"What statement?"
"It's a statement written by Captain Han himself. It was posted on the bulletin board yesterday. It clearly states that Captain Han and Yin Wanrou have absolutely no relationship. The so-called fiancée was just someone Yin Wanrou asked Captain Han when she was about to die from leukemia. Captain Han agreed to marry her when she grew up."
Is that so?
"Yes! Captain Han wrote it very clearly on the notice board: he never liked Yin Wanrou from beginning to end, and he was only twelve years old at the time! He only agreed out of pity for the little girl next door!"
"My God, what a bombshell! Yin Wanrou is so cunning! She's only ten years old and she already knows how to use moral blackmail?"
"Think about it, if I were in Captain Han's shoes, I would definitely want to catch him too. What's wrong with using a few tricks?"
"Heh, so you want Captain Han to issue a public notice and get humiliated and embarrassed?"
"..."
The discussions grew louder and louder. Chi Xia blinked. Was Han Junche really that ruthless? He even issued an announcement?
Although I felt it was a bit harsh, why did I feel inexplicably comfortable?
Chi Xia suppressed the smile on her lips and turned to look for him.
After searching around, they couldn't find anyone else, but one window was suddenly surrounded by a huge crowd.
Chi Xia glanced at it and then looked away, wondering what was being sold at that window that made it so popular.
Chi Xia sat there listlessly, complaining that Han Junche had been gone for too long, while listening intently to the gossip around her.
After a while, Han Junche finally returned, carrying two plates in his hands, followed by two chefs, each carrying plates and bowls.
Looking at the plate, which was completely different from the plates used to serve food in the cafeteria, Chi Xia suddenly understood what those people were doing at that window.
She stood up, took the things from the chef behind Han Junche, and smiled at them: "I'm sorry to have troubled you."
The cook quickly smiled and said, "No trouble at all, the stove is just sitting there empty anyway."
Another cook placed the bowls and chopsticks on the table and said with a smile, "We didn't expect Captain Han to be such a good cook. It makes our mouths water."
There was certainly some flattery in those words, but it's true that Han Junche is a good cook.
Han Junche put down the plate in his hand and nodded to the two of them: "Thank you."
The two chefs quickly replied, "You're welcome. Please enjoy your meal. We'll be leaving now."
