Chapter 128 Wang Ran's Plea for Help

"Is there something you need?"

Sun Lifang looked at Wang Ran—

The usually refined and elegant woman now had a few strands of sweaty hair falling across her forehead, her blue silk shirt stained with sweat, and her eyes revealed obvious panic.

She grabbed Sun Lifang's hand, took a deep breath, and said, "I want you to help me."

As he spoke, Wang Ran's hands trembled uncontrollably, as if he was trying his best to suppress something.

"May I?"

In the slightly chilly morning, a woman is like a burning piece of charcoal.

His eyes were bloodshot.

"You can tell me if there's anything you need." Zhou Yunshi stepped forward and politely separated her hands.

Wang Ran shook her head and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.

In a plaintive tone: "What I'm about to say, you may not want to hear."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yunshi's eyes darkened, then he smiled calmly and said, "Then let's not talk about it."

"Your family matters are none of my business."

"Please leave."

The man bluntly told Wang Ran to leave, and Wang Ran stood frozen at the door, not moving an inch.

In the ensuing heated standoff, Sun Lifang handed her a tissue.

She wanted to hear what was going on.

What family matter is related to Zhou Yunshi?

Thinking about it, she looked at her husband.

Zhou Yunshi's voice was still relatively gentle, but it carried a hint of impatience. "Let's go. I have nothing to do with her anymore."

she?

Sun Lifang suddenly remembered someone.

She gripped her husband's hand tightly.

"Don't worry, I haven't done anything to wrong you." Zhou Yunshi patted her back. "Let her talk."

He didn't want to hide anything and cause a misunderstanding.

Because of the man's attitude, Sun Lifang calmed down.

"Then take your daughter to buy breakfast."

"I'll handle this."

After the others left, Sun Lifang asked them to sit down.

"You can tell me, but I probably won't help."

Wang Ran was referring to Liu Xiuwen, Zhou Yunshi's "ex-girlfriend".

She might not even be considered an ex-girlfriend.

At most, he's a suitor.

But Sun Lifang was still curious: why did Wang Ran go to such lengths to find Zhou Yunshi, her "ex-boyfriend"?

Aren't you afraid of getting jealous?

Thinking about it, Sun Lifang remained nonchalant, "You want me to help you? What can I possibly do to help you?"

"I wanted your help before, but—"

"Maybe I just wanted to talk to you, to vent."

Once she calmed down, Wang Ran returned to her strong, independent self. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and said softly, "You know I have an eldest son, right?"

Sun Lifang nodded.

Wang Ran's eldest son is in his early twenties.

Taking a sip of tea, Wang Ran continued, "My son is determined to marry her now."

"You even want to sever our mother-son relationship. Tell me, how can I not be angry?"

The son she had carefully raised fell in love with a divorced woman with a child who was six years older than her.

Sun Lifang smiled: "Well, that's his choice after all. What did you want me to help you with before?"

That's so strange.

How can I help?

“My eldest son works in an office at Zhongshanju. I was hoping you could help me transfer him to another city.”

Perhaps realizing her own idea was naive, Wang Ran laughed out loud first.

That laugh brought tears to my eyes.

When people are in despair, they grasp at a straw and think it's a ladder to heaven.

Sun Lifang handed over the tissue again, then suddenly remembered something.

"Is this why you want a second child?"

The eldest son was ruined, so I just created a new alt account and started over.

Perhaps it's because of different perspectives that one's mindset towards problems can be different.

Wang Ran did not answer the question. Instead, she took a contract out of her bag and pushed it in front of Sun Lifang.

"I don't know how to say it, but this is something I've wanted to give you for a long time."

That was a property transfer document.

"What is this?" Sun Lifang was completely bewildered.

She wouldn't lay a hand on Liu Xiuwen.

Why did Wang Ran give her the house?

"No, this is a thank-you gift I wanted to give you." Wang Ran chuckled softly. "I've been wanting to give it to you ever since you saved my youngest son last time."

"Who would have thought that such a thing would happen later?"

etc.

Sun Lifang suddenly realized, "The timeline doesn't match up."

Wang Ran's youngest son is already two years old.

But Liu Xiuwen wasn't in Haicheng two years ago, was she?

“That’s exactly what I wanted to say.” Wang Ran smoothed her skirt and said in a low voice, “She is my son’s teacher at his internship unit.”

"She started seducing my son while we were still married."

Wang Ran never expected things to develop to this point.

“I found out from the detective that she also contacted Zhou Yunshi’s mother after she came back.”

"Therefore, I think she may not necessarily have my son under her thumb."

At this point, Wang Ran became somewhat melancholy.

"Perhaps there is still hope for our mother-son relationship."

Sun Lifang hadn't expected this.

She smiled. "But you've already made your choice, haven't you?"

Having a second child means starting all over again.

To deal with a "scumbag," a woman can be ruthless and cut ties.

She could deal with the precious son she had raised herself.

The mother's heart is breaking.

Just then, Zhou Yunshi returned.

"The car downstairs is here, let's go!" Zhou Xinya shouted.

The little girl, holding a steamed bun, was full of energy, dispelling the dull atmosphere.

"Let's go then." Sun Lifang gave Zhou Yunshi a reassuring look.

It had nothing to do with him in the first place.

Who would be happy to be suddenly approached at their door?

"Let's go, let's go." Sun Lifang took her husband's hand and shook it. "It's alright now, okay?"
