Chapter 286 A Thousand Arrows Piercing the Heart

Not knowing if she had gotten into trouble, Sun Lifang felt a pang of sadness as she watched her daughter become more and more ambitious every day.

Really, daughter, you don't need to work so hard.

It makes people think I'm a great teacher.

“Perhaps learning has a kind of magic.” One day, Sun Lifang was chatting with Zhou Yunshi, “which opened the door to a new world for her.”

The little girl couldn't wait to absorb knowledge, and you couldn't stop her.

“Isn’t this just like our Yuanyuan?” Zhou Yunshi chimed in.

He's been really enjoying spending time with his little daughter lately, watching her wide, bright, dark eyes and drooling as she smiles at you.

I feel completely healed.

Because Zhou Xinyuan looked very much like Sun Lifang, even down to the birthmark behind her ear, Zhou Yunshi became interested in this daughter.

After my wife finished her postpartum confinement, I took her and daughter out shopping.

We bought a baby stroller, and Yuanyuan lay inside, her little hands gripping the gauze curtain as she intently gazed at the world outside.

It's like seeing it for the first time; I can look at it for a very long time.

Therefore, Zhou Yunshi said, "Yuanyuan and Yaya are the same; they have both opened the door to a new world."

Once you start, you can't stop.

Zhou Xinya couldn't stop reading extracurricular books, and if she encountered a word she didn't understand, she would look it up in the dictionary.

Zhou Xinyuan never wanted to stay at home again after going out once.

It was alright when I was holding her outside.

As soon as she gets home, her little nose starts twitching, and she's ready to kick her legs and cry.

"Damn it, you've really ruined me."

Sun Lifang jokingly said to her husband, "It's all your fault for taking her out to play as soon as you came back. Now she feels uncomfortable if she doesn't go out for a day."

I'd rather stay in the shade of a tree by the door than inside the house.

Helpless, Sun Lifang had to divide the work with Sister Miao, and she took Yuanyuan out for a walk.

They would either stroll from Liu Qing's house to Mrs. Tong's house, or take a detour around the main road outside.

"I'll just treat it as postpartum weight loss."

Sun Lifang uses this to motivate herself.

But babies are too delicate; the more you spoil them, the more they cry.

As if she knew that crying would get her out of the house, she would often pout and look pitiful.

She cries with her eyes open, and she cries with her eyes closed.

The key point is that she always keeps her eyes closed when she goes out, and most of the time she is half asleep with her eyes closed.

Even so, she still wanted to be outside.

"Yuanyuan." Sun Lifang gently pinched her cheek and said resentfully, "Mom is almost exhausted."

What methods can be used to deal with such a young child?

There's nothing we can do but endure it.

While waiting, Sun Lifang took her anger out on Zhou Yunshi, complaining to him, "It's all your fault, why did you take her to the supermarket?"

She remembered the taste and the atmosphere after visiting it once.

Now that I've had enough sleep, it's time to go out.

"That won't do. I'll give you a cloth bag tomorrow, and you can take Yuanyuan to the company."

Whoever caused the problem should do the work.

Of course, that was just something I said in anger.

After the New Year, Zhou Yunshi's projects started, and he also had to review the work done before the New Year, so he couldn't leave.

When I get home, I like to play with my daughter and take her out.

Now, whenever Yuanyuan sees him, she opens her little arms and wants him to hug her.

It's infuriating! Sun Lifang's temper flared up from taking care of the child. "Yuanyuan, you little rascal, Mommy burps you and tries to put you to sleep every day—"

"Did you forget about Mom as soon as Dad came home?"

He's such a little traitor; his thick hair makes him look nothing like a two-month-old baby.

Fluttering in the wind, her tiny fingernails pressed together, clutching her father's tie and pulling it down.

"Isn't it still yours?" The man raised an eyebrow, holding a small baby, and glanced at the woman as if to say something unintentionally. "I still can't live without you."

Noticing what he was looking at, Sun Lifang's face immediately turned red.

Zhou Yunshi turned his youngest daughter over, held her horizontally, and patted her until she burped a few times.

Yuanyuan lay comfortably on her father's arm, her eyes half-closed, no longer whimpering.

"When?" the man suddenly asked.

"Then when do you suggest?" Sun Lifang stood up, made up the crib, and gestured for him to put it in. "The doctor said to feed every four hours. Our baby eats a lot—"

"No, I meant—"

The man chuckled, and seeing that she didn't speak, he walked over and kissed her.

Ugh, I don't know how to say it.

Sun Lifang's pent-up emotions vanished all at once.

All the resentment and frustration of raising children turned into sweetness.

It feels wonderful to have a child with the person you love and to nurture your offspring.

When Sister Miao came to the nursery to see the baby, Sun Lifang took her husband's hand and went to the bedroom to chat.

I feel that many problems can be solved by taking action.

Just like that, holding each other quietly, many emotions in my heart naturally dissipate.

This is a weekly healing time for the couple, where they talk about what happened during the week.

Sun Lifang has so much to say—

She first talked about Peilin's situation, then about Zhou Xinya's daily chores, and how the two little ones at home would make a fuss and not sleep at night when he was away on business.

If you really want to nitpick, every single thing is a trivial matter.

But it was something Sun Lifang wanted to say, and as her urge to confide in her arose, she became more and more excited as she spoke.

I got a little tired towards the end and wanted to stop.

The man kept asking, "So what time did you finally go to sleep?"

During the question-and-answer session, Sun Lifang laughed at him, "Aren't you annoyed? I have so much to say, I'm annoyed with myself."

Trivial matters cause even the big boss to worry when he gets home.

"What's bothering you?" The man patted her knee lightly and casually, "If you don't tell me, who else can you tell?"
