Chapter 78 A Thousand Layers of Tricks

The next second, her fragrant and soft lips suddenly pressed against mine, silencing the unfinished words between her lips and tongue.

........

"Mother!"

As soon as I got off the bus, a small figure rushed over.

Before she could even reach him, the man beside her intercepted her and picked her up.

"Daddy!" Zhou Xinya pretended to stretch out her little arm to check the time. "Why is it so slow? I'm starving!"

As she spoke, she crawled out of her father's arms.

"Oh? What time is it?"

Zhou Yunshi helped his daughter check the time.

Sun Lifang's lips twitched; she hadn't realized that men could be so childish.

Looking at the "clock" his daughter had drawn on her wrist, the father and daughter engaged in a question-and-answer session, leaving no room for others to interject.

"Mom, let's go home for dinner!" Zhou Xinya leaned halfway out and grabbed her arm. "Aunt Meimei has already prepared everything!"

"Wait a minute, Mom is waiting for someone."

Zhou Xinya pricked up her little ears, her eyes darting left and right.

Sun Lifang glanced at her: "Yaya, do you miss your great-grandmother?"

Zhou Xinya nodded frantically.

Of course she misses her great-grandmother!

What does Mom mean?

The clever little girl immediately understood and excitedly jumped down from her father's arms, asking, "Is it Great-Grandma coming?"

Zhou Xinya's face flushed with excitement, and her arms felt numb, as if it were not real.

"Hmm, are you happy now?"

"Mmm-hmm-hmm!" Zhou Xinya nodded frantically.

She's so happy, she's nodding so much she's dizzy!

Wearing sandals, she ran to the intersection ahead, peeked out, and looked hopefully at every passing car.

Sun Lifang smiled as she watched her daughter's retreating figure, "Now that Grandma's here, she won't sleep alone anymore."

After the mother-daughter relationship improved, Zhou Xinya could always find an excuse to sleep next to her mother.

Thinking that she would miss a few years of companionship, Sun Lifang let her move all her bedding into the master bedroom.

But this is inconvenient after all.

Every night, Zhou Xinya would hug her neck in the middle of the night.

Not only is she often "choked" while sleeping, but because her bed is large, Sun Lifang lets her daughter sleep at the other end.

Thinking that this way I wouldn't get "choked," right?

But this made Zhou Xinya feel wronged.

"Back in my hometown, my great-grandmother always held me to sleep, boohoo, my mom doesn't like me... I want my great-grandmother-----"

Sun Lifang was naturally happy that her daughter was willing to express her emotions, as this was proof of the good relationship between mother and daughter.

But she's not Zhou Yunshi; where would she get so many tricks to coax children?

In the end, to stop her daughter from crying, Zhou Xinya hugged and soothed her until she was covered in sweat, and then she became quite spoiled.

They played with her hair and ears, but Sun Lifang patiently endured it.

After being tormented for a long time, Sun Lifang finally got through this ordeal.

But this is not a solution.

She was just about to set some rules for her daughter when she overheard Jiang Meimei saying something to her.

"Ya Ya often cries in her sleep when she's at home."

Children lack a sense of security.

Come to think of it, she left her familiar environment to come to the city, and besides, she was only six years old.

The matter of "setting rules" was thus put on hold.
